The sound of you guys laughing and smiling is contagious, and I start laughing and smiling. Thanks for making these videos. I can't wait to see what you guys do with a hearse!
Hey guys, Awesome video, always fun to watch. The Hearse is cool and creepy at the same time. My new favorite saying at funerals will be, "Wow that fella was really dead". Lol
Very nice choice Cory! That's my dream car too! My pops had one of those (in pristine condition) for his daily driver! I'll never forget him coming to my high school for a meeting with the principal. And parking across many parking spots 😅
Hearses are an adventure to work on. The guy on old iron workshop has been working on his on and off. His not in as good a shape as yours but cool to see him rip out the interior and finding all the issues under the rat poop. Great videos to watch on broke Thursdays. Thanks. Glad my home state of sc has been doing y’all good.
It's the week of Hearses for my favorite youtubers! First Ressurected Garage now you. Yall are making me want to find another onr. I love my S&S Cadillac I had
Omg!! Your channel just went to the top of my watch list. I love hearses and wish I could afford one. I’m so looking forward to watching you work magic with this old dead sled!
Cory, outstanding work on chaining Hannah's Truck to Haley's truck to prevent any possible problems. (An ounce of prevention is worth a pound of cure...or in the case of transmission problems, tons of headaches and cure.) You are to be commended on the foresight of potential problems. And seriously, even before the video started!?!?!?!? Cory's "dream car!?!?!?!?" In all honesty, after all Cory's comments each and every time he saw one!?!?!?!? Who did "not" know it was going to be a hearse!?!?!?!?!? (From the "Forwhatever It's Worth Department"...Since I was born in the late 40's, I can say there were, and are still, hearses produced in a Dark Green (or black body color) with a Dark Green Vinyl Top, but not in the 60's, so it may have been added when vinyl tops became "all the thing" in the late 70's. If you don't like dark green vinyl tops, or vinyl tops period? Just know it probably "did" have a dark green vinyl top at some point in one of its previous lives. Do what you will with that information.) Parting Shot...Cory is "Extremely Dangerous" with a knife!!! (I'm shocked...SHOCKED he has not self-inflected body damage with them the way he opened packages in this video!!! Exercise extreme caution when in Cory's vicinity when he has a knife!!!
Welcome to hearse life! I drove my first hearse daily for five years. Building three others now, all 60's caddies. That 61 is an awesome car in any condition. Looking forward to seeing how you build it.
Sad for Frank, but happy for the 61 Caddy Hearses. this caddy will be a cool ride to rebuild. Hannah's green truck is so cool.. the caddy will need a windshield and door windows..
I just subbed on your last video and told you I was about 60 or 70 miles from you but I am also about 10 miles from Hil-Rom who as you probably already know they are in the Casket business. You definitely need some interior accessories if you know what I mean !!
I think it would be cool to leave the bottom patina but do the top in a really nice paint job, maybe something with a lot of flake and some hidden/ghosted designs in it.
I cant believe yall was in my home town tazewell/new tazewell and i didnt know .. i would have came out n met you !!! Btw id imagine you didn’t find the indoor fleamarket .. its packed with antiques !!!!
This was fun, understand anything this age is going to be hard to come by period. I love that last "look" at the finale of the video. Made this old guy bust out in laugher.
That car is so nice that " folks are dying to get in it " !! Sorry, I couldn't resist!! Forgive me!!! Cory if that is something you have wanted, and Hannah is ok with it, more power to you !!! I hope you all enjoy building it. Please be safe and God bless you all !!! Eddy
A friend of mine owned the biggest motorcycle junk/grave yard. He bought a Hurst and painted tombstones on it of dead motorcycle. Awesome car waiting for the build 😄
The marks on the back bumper of the hearse is from gurney going in with deasesed body on them. Back then, hearses where used for pick up too. I work for a Funeral Director and my official title is Recovery Specialist, but my friends call me "A body Snatcher ". Eddie
Hey guys, I absolutely love your new addition to the family, Cory's 61 Cadillac hearse. One day in the future, Y'all need to turn it into a big ol' station wagon! Put big long side windows where the fancy chrome things are! Then make a 2nd row, and a 3rd row seat, and the 4th row seat, make it face backwards! How much fun would that be? WOW! Y'all know how cool it would be. You would be the envy of every family out there. Air ride, big 22" wheels, and every time you laid it out, some of that fog would come out from under it. You know, like the fog machines at Halloween time? Yeah, that would be awesome!😂😅 Anyway, I wish you guys the best of everything. May God bless you and keep y'all safe and healthy. Love ya!❤
Look on the firewall for the GM trim tag . Where it is stamped STYLE it will tell you for sure what year it was . VIN tags don't always give that information . By the early 60s most hearses had vinyl tops , but some still used a black wrinkle paint , which cracks over time and must be sanded down to bare metal to fix it properly .
hey great buy. ok first sage the heck out of that thing lol. here is a lil car knowledge I will pass on to you from my dad. all gm and fords had drastic body changes from the 40s till early 70s with the exception of a few years. I believe most of the manufactures did that to sell cars. but can u imagine the tooling changes they did every year. what you see on the top is the left over landau foam and glue left from the vinyl top. definatly keep it rat rodded on air caddy motor not LS and a old pine box in the back. cant wait to see the build
Love your channel. Most of all your love for big trucks. As you were showing off your new Caddy I noticed the old U-Haul. Are you attached to the front clip?
I love you Two, like the hearse, when I was stationed at Mayport, Jacksonville, Florida in the USNavy, I skydived in the early 70s and one of the drop zones had an older black hearse that they used to pick us up and bring us back to the hanger, brings back a lot of memories 👍💕
I am "schnidrr" i always tell u 2 i luv the way ur young bodies work with ur old minds. what i want to kno now is did cory get any of the angel food. if u would like, now i kno where to send it. if i send another bag of angel food & a bag of peanut butter balls if i could get a CWC sticker sent 2 me. LUV U BOTH. I LOVE ANY PROJECT U KID'S WILL DO.
Good job and video Homies. Glad you found your hearse. I knew a guy in Fullerton,California that use to drive around with his hearse, he had a casket in his that lt would shake and then the coffin would open up and his skeleton would sit up and look around and then lay back down and close the lid
That's awesome yall so very happy for you Cory !!! I had a 58 Pontiac ambulance/hearse back in 91 was working on it !!! Lost everything including the car !!! Bad story !!! But I recovered !!! Have regretted not fighting harder for it but I'm so very happy that you finally got your dream car !!! Waiting patiently now to see what your imagination brings on this adventure !!! As always an awesome adventure thanks yall for bringing us along brother and little sister !!! Yall have an awesome day !!! Great to see that smile brother !!! Like catching that world record bass 😂😂!!! Very happy yall had safe travels !!!! See yall later 😂😂😂😂
Lol, hahaha. Door handle is in case the dead guy changes his mind and wants out before he gets buried 😂😂😂❤ Good luck with this gorgeous car. Can't wait for the videos of it.❤
That car is gonna be cool whenever you get it done. I was just watching a few guys at Sick Week 2024 in Florida and there was a guy racing a hearse, it was Wicked fast. Keep up the good work Homies we all enjoy your adventures. 🤘🤘
Lol, I love the look on Hannah's face when you told her to "get in".
Cory “If you love me you’ll get in it”. The look on Hannah’s face, good luck with that 😂🤣😂
Brilliant
Yup 61 Cadillac eureka landau end loader. Nice find. I love eurekas!!
My friend used to have an old purple Hurst when I was in high school. On Halloween 10 of us piled in there and went to school in it.
The sound of you guys laughing and smiling is contagious, and I start laughing and smiling. Thanks for making these videos. I can't wait to see what you guys do with a hearse!
Thanks so much !!!

Oh that look at the end. I remember THE LOOK well. Lol
I used to build them!! Put vinyl tops on for years!! Congratulations
Hey guys,
Awesome video, always fun to watch. The Hearse is cool and creepy at the same time.
My new favorite saying at funerals will be,
"Wow that fella was really dead". Lol
Rough but all the little trim pieces....awesome...so good
Very nice choice Cory! That's my dream car too! My pops had one of those (in pristine condition) for his daily driver! I'll never forget him coming to my high school for a meeting with the principal. And parking across many parking spots 😅
Wet sand body with 400 grit plus black primer😮🎉

You have a talent for making the simplest things enjoyable. Kudos!
Cory you are so lucky!!!!! I to have always wanted a Hurst and Hot Rod it!! Congratulations and I can’t wait to see what you do with it
The reason for the curtains is for when the funeral homes would pickup the deceased from places where they died.

Trying to do better
Welcome to hearse life! I drove my first hearse daily for five years. Building three others now, all 60's caddies. That 61 is an awesome car in any condition. Looking forward to seeing how you build it.
I might be wrong, but I believe GM outsourced the building of the rear portion of body to a coach company.
Yes Eureka company
@@corywheatcustoms I have connections for a 1957 caddy hearse put a 1st gen 5.9 cummins
Dead body juices all over in there 😂
Sad for Frank, but happy for the 61 Caddy Hearses. this caddy will be a cool ride to rebuild. Hannah's green truck is so cool..
the caddy will need a windshield and door windows..
This car is calling for a Cummins on a 1ton chassis. Would like to see what you can dream up for this build. Julle is fantasties.
Dang... Hannah's sister's rig is sweet 😂🤘🏼🇺🇲
Viewer for life ... now that car is so good

Got my safety third T-shirt today . Your channel is one of my favourites. Thank you for what you do !!! Dave.
Humboldt Saskatchewan Canada .
Awesome! Thank you!
I think it would be cool to leave the bottom patina but do the top in a really nice paint job, maybe something with a lot of flake and some hidden/ghosted designs in it.
A metal flake black and dark gray lace paint job on the roof would be sick
I ll have to come out to see your car ! Glad you finally found your dream car.
Man that’s super cool Cory!!! I love those things too and yes they’re hard to find in any shape. Way to go man!!!
Love it and can't wait to see you guys working on the old hearse.

I had a friend (deceased) that collected hearses. At one time he had over 30 of them!
O nice !! How long ago was that ??
You can order those skirts aftermarket.
