@@BrandonBeans I’m looking forward to flying the lite, I have one setup now and will be flying it tomorrow. Goggles 3 really do look so good when paired with the O4!
I was looking forward hearing what you will say after flying it 😁 I was blown away too after flying it. It just looks so good in the goggles and also footage is amazing. 👍🏽 Great video!
@@McLogo76 haha, I just decided to talk during the flight. I’ll likely do a few more flights and try and do some talking video.I agree the goggles view is so crystal clear, hard to believe it’s better than O3 but it sure is. Thank you 🙏🏽
@@DINSTAAR-FPV It really is, DJI made a great update on the O3, which really wasn’t bad to begin with! I look forward to seeing what you build and how you like it with your great style of flying!
Super cool, I also considered installing mine in the Rekon 7 pro, but then decided on the Geprc Tern LR40. I'm curious to see how it flies, but there's been such thick fog here for days that you can't see more than 100m😔.But at least I have everything set up. Unfortunately, my Rekon 7 Pro doesn't have a full TPU camera mount like yours, so I'll hardly be able to mount the O4 Pro there. But I'll probably install it there in the long run.As always best regards and have a safe flight my friend 😎🦅🫡
@@BigKahunaFPV did Geprc release a camera mount update? I bet it will be great in that platform since the Tern flies so nicely. I had to print the TPU mount myself and I’m going to be working on an O4 mount for it this weekend. Do you have an O3 in yours already?
@smithe68 I simply put the camera into the rubbers of the old O3 and secured it with two screws. I hope that this doesn't transmit any vibration and that the Tern flies well. The Rekon already has an O3 installed and the mount should work similarly well for the O4 until a real alternative is available. Or what do you think? Best regards
@ that’s what I did with my Rekon 7 Pro, although I didn’t get my frame with an O3 mount, it was the Pro that was setup for a 19mm camera. That’s why I printed a mount for it. I actually wish I had the correct mount for the O3 on the Rekon 7 to get the camera tucked in better but I can’t find it on any of the 3D printing sites. I would imagine it would work ok until something better comes along.
Hey looks great. I did the same type of testing today going back and forth between O3 and O4. The difference in clarity in the goggles is noticeable. Even on G2s. I turned down sharpening to -2 because I thought it looked way over sharpened (same with your video). The O3 and pretty much every DJI product is always too over sharpened.
@@gregdavidd Thanks. Very cool, I think that’s what a lot of us are truly curious about, the differences between the two. For some, I suspect they will be very happy with the O3 and not feel like spending the money to upgrade. For others, the improvements will be well worth it! I think it is. I’ll mess with that and see how it looks. Thanks for the tip.
Thank you! No issues with mounting the unit, just screwed right in to the rear part of the frame. I printed a 3D mount for the O3 and just used one set of screws to mount the camera. It’s not perfect but it’s working. My son is going to come over this weekend and help me with learning fusion360 so I can come up with something better. MIPI cable was the perfect length even with the extended mount for the camera.
even the lite version of the O4 has massive improvement in dynamic range. Looks gorgeous in those Goggles 3 😍

@smithe68 I think that works very well and gives the video a interesting story 👍 happy flying
Looks outstanding!! Exiting stuff to come… look forward to the lite version testing!!
@@mikehoward6981I agree, it looks so good. I’ll be flying it for the first time tomorrow while out doing some other flying!
beutiful view champ.....great river and flight😎👌
Thank you! Have a great day!
Amazing video quality! Can't wait to pick up a couple for my builds!

OMG that looks great!! Yeah on the 03 flying into the sun would have washed out. My wife is going to kill me and I will get one. 👏 Good Job!!
Yes it looks so good! This definitely handles changing light much better. 🤣🤣 Thank you 🙏🏽

Nice! Did you have any issues fitting the O4 Air Unit Pro in the Rekon 7? Was the MIPI cable long enough?
