@@WhiteTrashFPV so weird thing, this is my Flywoo explorer with no ND or anything. On other flights I’m having crazy issues and I can’t figure it out at all. I did do a flight with ND filter and manual settings and it turned out so bad. I’ve gone through everything, replaced props, checked screws, etc. I’m close to doing a full reprogram of the FC, ESC, etc

@@smithe68 I've noticed a trend. when you dont really limit your iso but use a strong nd filter. possibly stay out of d-cinie like mode. you might get better footage. i flew my pavo pico in my new spot today, and with nd 16 but auto settings. it looked ok, if you can get past my color grading (i just switched from premere pro to resolve for editing). it will be up tomorrow i just got tropic thunder up and running as well but i didnt turn on d-cinie like on and i will have that footage up soon too. my settings are off terribly with tropic as well. but everything is on auto. i think it looks better than the pavo.

@@WhiteTrashFPV interesting, it’s so strange how these things work or don’t. This quad in particular has not had any jello or vibes for a year of flying and all the sudden it started having issues. Too make this weirder, I have 2 other O3 quads that are having the same issue when they didn’t before. I have made not updates of any sort to quads, radio or goggles.

@@smithe68 thats kind of weird. are you getting shaky? i have to work on my breathing when fly other wise i make twitchy maneuvers. thats also why i lean when i fly so i dont have so many things to concentrate on at once. if you havent made any updates, are you doing something differntly? i dont know whats going on, but if you didnt change anything. it might be some thing your doing and just dont know it. i fly better when i lean v.s sitting or standing. or it could be your hands and you havent notice. i know you have a hand issue, could it be that it might be giving you micro jitters?

Hello and sorry for delayed response, I’ve been traveling a lot the past few weeks. I don’t have my original explorer anymore and don’t use the Action 2 on my replacement one with DJI O3. When I did fly with it I used the Flywoo 3000mAh li-ion pack as I was getting very short flight time with 4s 850, which is the other size battery I liked to use. The bigger pack I just put right up against the Action 2, I would suspect you would have to put an 850 as far back as possible. Unfortunately I can’t share my settings on it since I don’t have it anymore. I wish you luck.

I put water on it and the tide was coming in. I didn’t want to damage it by touching.

This flight was done with no extra camera mounted. I definitely think I could fly a bit longer but haven’t pushed to see until basically running out of juice.

I’ve had good luck with the explorer in the past, the original and the O3 versions. I’m also a fan of FlyFishRC frames, they are really nice. Yeah there was definitely some jello, which the explorer has never had for me before. I really do think the extreme heat coming off the ground was causing some updrafts. A flying buddy of mine has been having similar issues even with some slightly larger quads. I’ve changed the PWM and also made some other changes, turned off ADC filtering on my radio among other things. Thank you very much. It was a cool spot in Canada that we stopped at. When we got there a Canadian DOT there flying a huge DJI drone searching for something. We talked a little bit about legal places to fly, sub250g, licensing, etc.

@smithe68 that is very cool. I know Canada has some stricter laws than us. The heat doesn't help. I don't know how it is up there but we definitely are much cooler here than last week

It will be a bit before I can fly again but I will do that. I’ve thought about using Walksnail going forward, I have a friend that uses it and I am going to fly his to see what I think.

Definitely calm but very hot and I’ve noticed my lighter quads being affected by the heat coming off the ground.

@@sebastianpascual7004 hello and thank you. It really depends on what radio you have, do you have one yet? I’m partial to ELRS but there is a learning curve for setting it up but once learned it’s quite easy. There are a lot of radio options if you go with ELRS, many companies make ELRS compatible radios so you can find a style you like. I should add tell me what radio you have. That will help me with giving some better advice.

@@smithe68 thanks for your reply! I dont have a ratio, i dont know what a ratio is or how to fly a drone. My girlfriend has a DJI SE, i will practice with that. And maybe gonna take a course to learn, but i’m looking for a cinelog 35 v2, a go pro 11, and a DJI remote 2 and a Goggles 2 DJI.

@smithe68 no worries. I get flying early right now. This heat is the reason I haven't flown in a minute. On top of it I discovered after my move that my 75 mm tiny whoop haf some how pulled one of the battery cables out of the bt 2.0 connector and I don't have good luck fixing that. Good news os next week is cooler!

@@smithe68 ooo i see, i have initial error too with gyroflow, but not the error from gyroflow, but from my gopro..loss 2 frame cause i can't export instanly.. i must split my render to avoid the part when frame loss.. but i think better gyroflow than rocksteady dude..

A bit of both lol! It’s a lot easier to move out of the way with a quad, I’m pretty sure I’d been fixed wing as well it would have gone bad really quick!

I’ve seen videos of people going very high but from my takeoff about 375 feet.

O3 has been tested to around 24 or 25km by some people. I did a flight at a small field and flew for about 47 minutes and 27 total miles with a 6400mah li ion battery but I was always within about .75 miles.

@@EnglishTurbines I was standing on it the last time I flew there, I would say spring of last year. I’ve never stopped at this spot and flown from it though, thought it was a cool view.

@@daffes Hello! Of these two the Cinelog35 v2 is by far the better choice for freestyle. The foldape4 is pretty sluggish and underpowered and I suspect not very durable. I have found the CL35 to freestyle decently, it’s pretty tough and 6S power is great. I should also add it’s just more versatile in most ways. It’s pretty fast, can be flown slow, etc.
