Just when i thought MY radio was the KING! Oh my, going to have to make some MAJOR changes now, great ideas! If my transmitter makes a woman look at it like diamonds , I know its right!
About the speaker... Did you notice the possibility to integrate to the main board in there, or are you thinking of a stand-alone solution? P. S. Beautiful editing, and great content (as usual)! That was hypnotic.
Thank you very much :) I haven't checked the stock speaker or any of the electronics yet, I will probably leave this for when I disassemble the radio completely. Not a huge fan of the idea of having the speaker facing back (like I had it on the modded QX7).
Thank you! I don't know why they included a double sided adhesive sticker in the box (instead of single sided) but it fits perfectly behind the battery case and stops it from moving loosely inside the battery bay. Without it the battery case moves and rattles and is annoying.
I am using the betaflight hive backpack and the hardcover of the backpack rests on the neckstrap balancer instead of the gimbals and antenna. I can carry it as is, without removing the antennas and fits perfectly.
Most of them, yes. For example the Radiomaster TX16S with hall sensor gimbals needs M4 thread size for the sticks, not M3. I don't know about the basic version or the Jumper T18 radios, I don't have them.
Hey muteFPV, I got a question for you: I don't fly fav, I fly planes, 3D planes, gas motor, 106" wingspan. Now these radios are good for quadcopters and FPV or for planes too? Thanks. Great video
Well, I use a Jumper T16 for a 4 E-glider with 4 steering surfaces in the wings (+the usual rudder/height/motor). Mixers are WAY more easy to configure than for my "old" MULTIPLEX transmitter. Crow, Flapperons, differential aillerons, mix crow to height (both "smoothly" engaging with configurable in/out duration), combine switch, switchable dual rate, telemetry with vario configurable voice messages. I could even easily dial in my CROW->Height rate, by assigning a slider to the mix ratio (set as a global variable, modified by a slider). So from my perspective little to be desired. And, given the 16 output channels, I could extend to 6 steering surfaces in the wings, air brakes, tow hook release, retractable gears (yes, you can also configure input profiles to program "sequencers") and still have channels left. The only thing I could not find is how to let my vario output a speak a message every minute to announce height loss / gained. Right now it "just" announces the height. I have seen that announcing vario altitude gain is also possible if you write or download a custom LUA script for that.
Gday D, nice work with jumper t16 pro mods i like everthing you did but I'm not a fan of skulls but each to there own mate, there is a carbon fibre front well actually 2, 1 is a carbon fibre front sticker kit and the other is a carbon fibre front face plate that involves dismantling the whole radio to fit it not sure if your interested in any of those mods mate.👍🛸
These were the only knobs I could find that were kind of unique and had removable inserts. The stock pot knobs have a lip around the base and can't be removed without disassembly. Not sure if it is worth it to replace the pots just so that I can use other knob styles. Maybe I find or print an adapter for the shaft of the stock pot (it has the same shape as the side pots).
@@theproud77 yep, indeed. Wouldn't really call it a problem since it is mostly cosmetic :P On the other hand the stock pots don't seem very accurate. I will see what I will do when I disassemble it all. :)

I wish someone would make a replacement back plate that completely got rid of those back grip bars and grip nubs. They make the radio thicker and uncomfortable to hold and use for me. Great for carrying with one hand on the side, not so great if you're thumber and you have to stretch your hand and fingers that much wider. SOMEONE MAKE A REPLACEMNET BAKCPLATE FOR THESE ;) 3D print something or something without bars and nubs. I'm tempted to switch to a T18 Lite... just to get rid of the grip bars. At first they were cool and a nice touch, now they just annoy me.

Will these work, they say for Frsky: www.racedayquads.com/products/anodized-transmitter-switch-nut-8-pack-w-tool-choose-your-color?variant=21654310682737
@@muteFPV I already bought two. Someone should make a swappable out back plate. Nothing is mounted on it... although I've heard in later versions, they are now mounting an upgraded larger speaker on the inside of the backplate. Not really a problem to take off and remount on a new one. You can take off the rubber grips and that gets you a few mm less thickness. You can also 3d print a gimbal lowering standoff to lower the gimbals another few mm. Still, better to just get rid of the grip bars that hold your hand a full cm away from the ends of the gimbal stick ends.
Apart from the stick ends, this is a tutorial on how to make your transmitter ugly as hell=P But you obviously like it, and a lot of other people do too. They even like the skulls you put on the potentiometers, which I found to be the ugliest looking crap ever! Modding is fun though! =)
Oh well, to each their own :) Anyway, the intention is to give ideas and not a guide for people to follow blindly. Especially for the pot knobs, there are very few options with removable fitting that I could find - replacing the stock knobs completely requires partial disassembly of the radio (unlike the Taranis and other radios where the knobs just pop off).
@@muteFPV Oh yeah, I think the video itself was awesome, and it does show people that if they want to, there is nothing wrong with opening up their radio and doing stuff with it!
