Just so everyone knows, I'd like this comment to be pinned. The Modulus Stryfe used to have an issue with the thermistor shutting the blaster down even with stock internals, and all that would be needed to cause this would be use of a bigger mag. That variant was pretty infamous for having a faulty thermistor. HOWEVER, as of late 2021, the Modulus Stryfe's thermistor has been fixed and will no longer shut the blaster down just because high-capacity mags were used. So if you bought a Modulus Stryfe recently thinking you needed to mod out the thermistor, think again. If you want to know if your Stryfe is the fixed variant, you can tell whether or not this is the case by checking the color of the battery door (updated version has a black one), checking if there is paint on the left side (updated version has paint on both sides), and if it has the new tac rail locking tooth design (updated version has the single-piece locking tooth). You're welcome, people.
A thermistor measures a change in temperature. The more electricity that goes through it, the hotter it gets. The hotter it gets, the more electricity it restricts. This thermistor is designed to shut off at more voltage than the 4 AAs Nerf uses. This means when you put more voltage through the system, it will shut off.
Hey I’m a little squeamish of cutting the wires so what do I do when I remove the thermistor Just to clarify I’m a little squeamish Of cutting the wires because I might screw the blaster up
Would you happen to know if the dart zone vulcanator has a thermistor? It works fine stock but when I added just 2 more powerful 3.7v batteries the blaster wouldn't make it through the second magazine and would shut down for a minute or two
@@thedartdomain4197 ok that worked but i got another question: i removed the thermistor and followed the video, but the motors still wont spin. I put in new batteries but it still wont spin up, why is that?
You need to make sure all of the microswitches are pressed, jam joor, rev trigger, I think magwell. If that doesn't work, check that you wired it correctly
Would this solve the problem with IMR batteries? What if I put only 2 IMR batteries and 2 dummy batteries? Would it still shut down, even with the mod?
The thermistor cuts off the electricity that passes through it above a certain voltage, this one is set for six volts, but if you want to use better red, this will prevent that because it will shut everything off

Hey, thanks!
Hey, if im buying the stryfe in amazon, how could I tell that its the updated version. There's only one photo of the blaster and its grey
@@ziingabox Read the last paragraph of the original comment, it says just this
Thermistor is a thing so when the voltage is low in boost the voltage but if its too high it lowers it down
if i put in the worker full auto kit will i need to take out the thermisto\=r
Dude that paint job is sick
Well if I didn’t watch this video I would have broke my stryfe you are good with explaining just the right info not to much not to little
Thank you! That's why I make videos, to help people mod.
the whole time i was just humming to ‘and the day goes on’
Lol, nice
what is thermistor

Does the thermister stop bigger mags?
Nope, all it does is stop you from using better or more batteries.
It used to do that with the Modulus Stryfe, but as of late 2021 that issue has been fixed.
Can you redo this with an unpainted stryfe? I can't really tell which wire is which in the video.
I would! If I ever find another Stryfe, I will absolutely do this.
@@thedartdomain4197 stryfes are pretty common on ebay, I recommend finding one there.
@@Iazibones Most likely I will do that if I need one for a project. I have 2 right now.
very helpful
thanks for the battery removal thing, that couldve been a real disaster lol
Lol yeah, np
if i use two IMR without the mod will it still work?
I’ve done it but it’s not working
I found the issue the negative wasn’t connected in the flywheel cage
question: i accidently broken the yellow thing off which i guess is the thermistor. can i solder the broken parts and still be able to bypass it?
Do you mean the yellow peice that looks like an omega?
You don't need the thermistor at all after this mod, if that's what you're asking

It won't shut down with the mod, thats the point of the mod. It would solve the problem.
Thank you deserve a subscribe
Thank you too!
what does the thermistor do? I want to modify mine but im scared ill brake it

Does it go faster if you cut off the thermistor
What do you mean?
@@thedartdomain4197 i think they ment by the motors
If you do take out the thermistor and give it more voltage, the motors will spin faster
awesome video!
Thanks
If you use more than 3 imr batteries, after modding the blaster in this way, will it cause harm to the stryfe?
Yes. Using 3 for a while will harm it as well. I use 2.
u change the channel name?
Yeah, I wanted it to be more about what I do in these videos.
damn that is a low fps camera and mic in 2021...
Sure is, I used a galaxy a21, I have a better phone now though
Dodgy mod and you don’t need it with two imr.
