I have one JBL Stadium 1224 12inch, push on mono 'Taramps Bass 3K' , switch to 2ohm load, power around 2000w rms, but stadium 1224 only rated at 500w rms hahaha drive around 6 month but dont have any issue for now, very strong subwoofer 👍👍 but this model stadium 122SSI look like infinity kappa
for one, because taramps aren't real watts. if you put it on like a rockford fosgate power series 1000w it would blow this thing out the box. and reason it's similar to the infinity is because infinity and jbl are the same company. still a da mm good sub tho. i have a club 1224 and it's flippin sweet. similar specs except lower wattage rating, looking at 2 of these for a friend of mine.
@@XX-121 Nice!! I have the latest version of the Club 122 in a ported box made by JBL. It hits HARD!! So I bought the Stadium because I was so impressed with the Club! Has the same exact specs box wise so it should be a simple swap
Just got mine on Friday. Trying to figure out what wire gauge and amp to get. I also have 2 6x9 JBL GTO in front doors and 2 in rear deck. And 2 JBL GTO 6.5 in rear doors. Any suggestions?
I put in the an Atrend 12LSV which has 2.5 cubic feet, it's sounds okay in it, I think it's tuned around 43hz. JBL manual says to have 2.5 cubic feet tuned at 35hz. I plan on getting a custom box made.
@@chacemaye8598 you should try a small sealed box. they hit lower and cleaner and you don't lose much db. i would only use ported if i was doing a competition system. these days i'm only in it for sound quality.
@@XX-121 I think you're right, the big ported box I have it in now, the bass tends to get rather boomy and out of control at certain hz and/or if the bass knob is boosted too much
@@chacemaye8598 yeah 2.5 ft could've been a mistake too. i noticed they made a mistake on the xmax in the spec sheet it's suppose to be .403 not 4.03. i was looking also at some orion xtr122d's which have the around same power rating and same xmax and they're only calling for 1.5ft box for vented. but yeah i think you'll be a lot happier with a sealed box. so what are you using to push it?
I cannot thank you enough for this video I was hoping it was an all black version of my kappa 1000w and it is thanks man enjoy.
How do you like the Kappa?

Whats the best box for this subwoofer. It definitely has caught my attention.
