I bought a new Forester in 2012, two years later not a single hiccup. Goes through some serious snow. I owned a 2007 Honda Ridgeline. The Forester runs circles around the Honda !!!! Subaru FTW…….
That is great demonstration of the Foresters capabilities in fairly deep snow! Subaru definitely has a superior snow driving machine there. Thanks for making this video.
Loren Reece I have a 2015 Forester. Got a lot of snow last Winter here in New Jersey. My 400 ft, inclined driveway was full of unplowed snow and it went up like the snow wasn't even there. And that was with stock, all-season tires on it. Not snow tires. No more nervous driving for me.
Absolutely incredible, Thank You!!! I have a 2007 which my daughter is using in Minnesota for awhile. I miss it! But she will be safer, and that's what counts.
And that`s what happens when a company develops and improves a 4 wheel symmetrical traction system for over 30 years that equals in a trustworthy product and faithful and loyal buyers . Go Suby!
I some countries this is how all roads look in wintertime. And people manage to drive rwd bmws and porsches with no problem at all. Of course, driving subaru is a big advantage in such conditions.
I have explained, that the jeep stuck to the end of uphill. The forester had not problem there. These guys were sure that forester couldn't uphill. That's all. Nothing special for a forester, but 200 people like this video!!!
I was just thinking about getting a smaller suv/crossover and the Forester was one of my list of possibles. Now I think it just went to the top. With that being said do you have any tips on models or years that I should be aware of?
Hello my friend. For snow tires, depends the size. For 17 inches you don't have many solutions for the foresters, because 215-55 and 225-55 is difficult size. The best i have used in deep snow is cooper weathermaster and for snow on roads, the federals i use now. For off road, mud etc, you need mud terrain for wild situations, or a/t for light off-road.
Definitely shitty that they told you you wouldn't make it up and the chevy was down there for a day, and when you come back to the top they aren't even there. "oh yeah you'll never make it back up its awful" "no i can do it" "well he left, lets go guys, he'll be back up later"
What are your favourite winter tires you like to use for snow. And what about off-road, such as mud and sand-rock mix. Thanks. Greetings from Bulgaria.
Now you are running other tyres in winter? I'm looking for the best tires for deep snow, but I don't want to sacrifice a lot of street-everyday usability. I had nokian wr d3, but looking for sth new for this winter.
I kept waiting for Jack Nicholson to pop out frozen from behind a pine tree....I forgot all about the Forester and was terrified by the road. lol! good car...at least I know I'd never be stuck!!
Love this video. I went for a test drive in the 2014 Forester last weekend. I'm going for a test drive in the Forester XT this weekend. Is your Forester a turbo? Did I say I love this video? Yes, I did. Said it again!
Not all 4wd or awd have equal length drive shafts or limited slips... That jeep should have done better but I'm not a fan since they have terrible reliability.
I don't have these any more, because i usually change snow tires every year. If you want good tires for deep snow, look for these cooper, or hankook winter ipike w409. Good in deep snow, means worst than performance snow tires on road, but we can't have everything. Last winter i used federal himalaya and was perfect and cheap. Check them!!!
Hello my friend. The tires in this video, was cooper weathermaster s/t2. But it wasn't something special that snow. Watch the last video: snow tires with dilute tread vs snow tires with thick tread (subaru forester)
I guess your Forester is better than all of the Subaru's i owned since 1984 and i have owned every model even the SVX. I down care if you owned a Hummer with its 2ft clearance without good snow tires the Hummer would get stuck. Your Forester is now better than the other two 4WD vehicles in your video. The two SUV's in your video have a higher clearance then you do but they either didn't know how to drive or they had all season tires. I love Subaru's but now snow tires no go.
AHAHAHA Buy a TURD, sounds like a good idea!!! I pass all sorts of pickups on the way up to the ski resorts like they are standing still in my 2012 Impreza WRX.
I have a new Subaru, and know for fact as I live in Snowy WA State that there is nothing on this video that would stop a 2WD vehicle with decent snow / studded tires from doing if it has enough ground clearance.
The reason you did it was your tires not your Subaru. I have a new legacy and an STI and without good snow tires they would never do that. I have tried a lot of different snow tire and the best tire for the money are General Altimax Arctic. Try them out they are cheap and they are awesome. They are made by Continental.

I don't care for off-road any more my friend. My car has the best subaru transmission with dccd and 580 hp. What 2010 are you telling me? Nobody forester up from 2010 can do all these my car has done....
I bought a new Forester in 2012, two years later not a single hiccup. Goes through some serious snow. I owned a 2007 Honda Ridgeline. The Forester runs circles around the Honda !!!! Subaru FTW…….
haha, i would hope a two year old car has not had a single hiccup!
Pretty sure your forester did things my Tiguan couldn't do and the Tiguan is amazing in snow with winter tyres. Impressive.
That is great demonstration of the Foresters capabilities in fairly deep snow! Subaru definitely has a superior snow driving machine there.
Thanks for making this video.
Forester is very good for snow, but this road is viable for any 4x4 with winter tires.
Just bought a 2014 Forester. Never had it yet in winter. Looking forward to see what it can do. Looks impressive so far.
Great video here.
Nice video, I owned a Legacy, loved the car, but I traded it in for a 4WD 4Runner.
Needed a little more cargo space.
Glad you showed the climb out. That's what I was waiting for when watching the vid. ;)
I did not know they got this much snow in Greece. My apologies. Good job Subaru, once again!
Beautiful area. Looks like fun and Subura makes driving in deep snow look so very easy. My next vehicle, 2015 Forester.
Loren Reece I have a 2015 Forester. Got a lot of snow last Winter here in New Jersey. My 400 ft, inclined driveway was full of unplowed snow and it went up like the snow wasn't even there. And that was with stock, all-season tires on it. Not snow tires. No more nervous driving for me.
i´m impressed of this car!.
Subaru love snow and offroad
No car can beat him!
Absolutely incredible, Thank You!!!
I have a 2007 which my daughter is using in Minnesota for awhile. I miss it! But she will be safer, and that's what counts.
I love my subaru foresters 250000 miles and no problems yet :)
now that s what I call a proper snow covered trail, well done Subaru! reminds of northern Quebec logging roads
And that`s what happens when a company develops and improves a 4 wheel symmetrical traction system for over 30 years that equals in a trustworthy product and faithful and loyal buyers . Go Suby!
Wow i dint know parts of greece looked like this. Very pretty lookin. I would love to toke a bowl and drive down there
I some countries this is how all roads look in wintertime. And people manage to drive rwd bmws and porsches with no problem at all.

Sweet vid man. Them things are tanks
The Forester is a Subaru that never stops!
All foresters are awesome!!!
Definitely shitty that they told you you wouldn't make it up and the chevy was down there for a day, and when you come back to the top they aren't even there.
"oh yeah you'll never make it back up its awful"
"no i can do it"
"well he left, lets go guys, he'll be back up later"
Subaru are great for winter driving. It goes when others can't get out of the driveway.
That snow was easy for my subaru even without very good snow tires!!!
In other conditions snow tires helped a lot.
What are your favourite winter tires you like to use for snow. And what about off-road, such as mud and sand-rock mix. Thanks. Greetings from Bulgaria.
Not only forester. Many others can, but not that jeep with 2,5 tons.
The problem wasn't the 10 or 20 cm snow, but in slippery uphill.
It is simple....
a brillaint car, i'll go for a test drive
Now you are running other tyres in winter? I'm looking for the best tires for deep snow, but I don't want to sacrifice a lot of street-everyday usability. I had nokian wr d3, but looking for sth new for this winter.
you know those two guys bought subarus that next week
I kept waiting for Jack Nicholson to pop out frozen from behind a pine tree....I forgot all about the Forester and was terrified by the road. lol! good car...at least I know I'd never be stuck!!

This is awesome! I hope my Outback will do the same this year. What kind of tires do you have on there?
Not all 4wd or awd have equal length drive shafts or limited slips...
That jeep should have done better but I'm not a fan since they have terrible reliability.
We have many mountains and a lot of snow every winter.
Awesome, as always... respect Stolis.
What modifications did you do to get 580hp?
I don't have these any more, because i usually change snow tires every year.
If you want good tires for deep snow, look for these cooper, or hankook winter ipike w409.
Good in deep snow, means worst than performance snow tires on road, but we can't have everything.
Last winter i used federal himalaya and was perfect and cheap.
Check them!!!
respect brother
foresters are the best
Hello my friend. The tires in this video, was cooper weathermaster s/t2.
But it wasn't something special that snow.
Watch the last video: snow tires with dilute tread vs snow tires with thick tread (subaru forester)
Thanks mate.
We know that,so it's time for the others to learn it!!!
Tell me from your experience Stolis, should I use wider or narrower tires for snow ?
Thank you my friend.
You are crazy going down that road, but who am I to argue with success?
wtf, did you have spikes on those wheels or something? I can't believe it actually went up that hill at the end
When other 4wd "stucks"! nice!
You've right, but i have everything i need, include airjack. But any way i risk and my advise, don't do this alone........
What tires are you using here? Size and model. Thanks!
Hell yeah dude.
Subaru, the best!
What do you think about the new CVT? any good?
It is Parnitha mount, near to Athens,
manual or automatic, how many cylanders
what year forester was that?
He went back up the same hill :)
SUPER!! GREAT! i love it!!
This is Panritha mountain, near Athens, Greece my friend.
What tires did you have?
Parts of this vid remind me of running through the maze in "The Shining".
"DANNNYYYYYYY!!!!"
What is the model of your subaru forrester? year?
I guess your Forester is better than all of the Subaru's i owned since 1984 and i have owned every model even the SVX. It's all about the tires, Subaru' s get stuck just as easily as anything else if they don't have the proper tires for the conditions.
You have wrong. There is something else very important. The weight...
absolute beast
@GreekPiranha

Manual and 4 cylinders of course.
Nice work. Have a couple similar vids of my own.
megale telika vgikes apows mpikes?? h efiges apo allo dromo?
Thanks!

Then, i had almost 350 hp. Now is close to 580 with a lot of mods and rotated turbo.
Then, i used cooper weathermaster s/t2 225-55-17.
Yes, only Forester can drive in 10cm snow... wow!
I am from lithuania and also lots of snow. But not that i live in chicago the plows just get rid of it :( no fun for my and me wrx haha
with snow tires and 4wd you can make it!
Where this take place?
Parnitha mountain, Greece.
Yes, but Jeep stayed there....
A 2wd couldn't make all the way, but the uphill that the jeep stuck, with snow tires easily if it is light!!!
Were your brakes even working downhill? LOL looks like your just sliding down
impressive!!!

What tires?
Cooper weathermaster s/t2.
I thing the new model with x-mode is very capable.
I'm pretty sure that the 7 jealous who disliked are driving Renault's, Peugeot's or Fiat's
Jack was in the Jeep....:)
2:30 its like im tripping balls about to go into narnia. Hwere is this magial land you a from good sir?
No my friend, with studless snowtires.
Why not a Russian T-34???
Finally, it was easy for that subie...
Just out for a sunday night cruise. no big
.....so simple that it can't understand many "smart" guys
I don't care for off-road any more my friend. My car has the best subaru transmission with dccd and 580 hp. What 2010 are you telling me? Nobody forester up from 2010 can do all these my car has done....
whoa
I know its a subie but ure crazy to do that.
Then, cooper weathermaster s/t 2.
Wow
Here, cooper weathermaster s/t 2, 225-55-17.
