    Hello from Australia. I'm having fun on my 2015 F800R. Kind of a Jack of all trades as it does most things well. It's also a fantastic 'light weight' tourer. Reasonably comfortable with good fuel range. It's very agile in the twisties and the Brembos are impressive. Just enough power to keep things interesting. I've fitted BMW sport panniers, MRA screen and Akrapovic exhaust.

    I've just done 110,000 kms on my F800S. Great riders bike. Shocker owners bike. By 25,000km it needed a stack of recalls. Also new pistons and block, New drive damper, whole new rear wheel bearing assembly and more. All problems not unique to me. BMW tried the out of factory warranty stunt. I took them to court and won. Drive belt is very expensive and last about 30,000 km. High beam is no good for open road at night. Panniers are crap, replaced with Hepco Beckers, Fuel gauge doesn't work properly until 2nd half of tank. BMW say this is normal in owners manual. Would I own another? I just ordered brand new Honda VFR1200F.
    Great rider's bike Shocker owners bike.

      I think they have them sorted now. Mine has been great for last 55,000 km and looks like it will go forever. I'm disappointed in BMW for their poor behavior.

      +Rob Mitchell When you get down to it, there's really not a lot of practical bikes in this segment. So many of them have those tiny abbreviated tail sections that you can't strap any kind of tailbag to without it jabbing you in the lower back. I love how all 'rounder a lot of BMW bikes are, but the reliability and poor dealer penetration is a huge problem for me. Makes me just want to get an overpriced VFR800 Deluxe.

      I know what you mean. Have you looked at Hepco Becker panniers and top box? I've done over 1/4 of a million kilometers with them and I love them. Have a Google.

      PS I'm really enjoying my vfr1200f with Hepco panniers. Far better sorted than the BMW

      The fuel gauge on the F800 series is designed to show half a tank or less. That's how it works.

    A well thought out video, but loud background music makes it heard to hear.

    4:40 dangerous spot to stop for the end of review. Thanks for the vid tough, i'd be interested how it compares to my SV650a, whether you can feel the extra 14 bhp.

    I contemplating on getting this bike mainly because every review I've watched highlights the "buzz" long handle bar and I was planning on commuting daily on the freeway. Now I'm not sure if I'll be able to handle that on a daily basis.

    As an avid rider for 56 years I will never understand why people require ABS and Traction control that can be switched off unless you think it helps on the track.

    Hi. I think about f800r but I not sure that moto is for me. I'm high. I don't want to look on it as on burro. What is max growth on this motorbike?

      The product-design-leader for the F800R is 2 meters. And he can ride it too.

    Any reviews on the engine vibes through handle bar or foot pegs? Thats the major turn off for me when I heard that they didn't fix it on this model.

    Mat, great review!
    It's a really nice bike, but there is loads of lower priced naked bike competition these days. I like BMW's but have Honda money..... I am looking forward to the lower priced (?) 500's that BMW is working on.

      @IgnitionBikeShow  8 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      +haidermaliksa It's the Explore-R, and I love it. Comes with a peak and goggles so you can use it as an adventure helmet too. Reasonably priced as well.
