This painting was inspired by the sunrise this morning. After it’s been raining for almost a week and the skies were grey and dark almost all day long. But then this morning the clouds started to pull back and gave way for the most beautiful sunrise. Find the extraordinary in the ordinary and you'll never run out of ideas of what to paint.
Want to know more about glazing with acrylics take a look at this video I did about glazing: • How To GLAZE With Acry...

Lovely video and work, I could listen to you for hours. Wonderful content
@@nat-leo_007 thank you 🌻
Thank you so much for this long tutorial- I’ve had a couple of month’s break from painting as we’ve been travelling - I have been so inspired by landscapes we have seen in Scandinavia and Scotland and your tutorial has reminded me about techniques as I begin to paint again. You are so good at capturing the feeling a landscapes evokes, rather than trying to replicate a view or a photo. So much for me to do!!!!
@@pambirch778 Thank you for those kind words - capturing the feeling of the landscape has become the most important focus of my work for the last couple of years - I'm so glad it shows 💫
Marie Louise, I love your art and your process. Because of of you I really got hooked on landscape painting in this style. Please continue the longer formats, too, as I love the feeling of creating with you and learning from you even more. Thank you for your generosity and inspiration!

Thank you for the longer videos very much appreciated for your time in making these inspirational works❤
You are so welcome!
I love when you do longer videos! It really gives a good feel for your whole process of kinda doing some, taking a break to dry and take pictures to look at it differently and to not be afraid of trying something and then changing it back if you don't love it... it's good to remember we can change things up and don't have to be just stuck with the very first thing we put down even if we don't love it.
Came out lovely! And those colors, both the painting and especially the actual sunrise... goodness, SO gorgeous!!
Thank you for taking the time to do that!!
Hope you're doing well!🥰
I like the longer tutorials for the added discussion and explanation of techniques.

My pleasure & thanks so much!⭐️⭐️⭐️
Many thanks. It's beautiful and very interesting. 🤍
Thank you Corinne🎨
Please keep making longer videos. Enthralling!
I have a question about the gesso you would add to prevent buckling. Which side would you put it on? In my mind i think the back side might be better so on the front you would still have the paper quality to paint on. Never done this so that's why I'm asking.
Thank you for your videos. Love your style.
Mlle, j'adore ce que tu fais. Tu es talentueuse et imaginative. Tu fais de la bonne et belle peinture. Salut. Miss, I adore what you do. You are talented and imaginative. You make good and beautiful painting. You khow Anna-Eva Bergman? Your old scandinavian collegue? I'm crazy about her and what she did. So, by now.
I was wondering why you don’t just use water color. I enjoy watching your process. I use acrylic to paint and am getting looser by the day. But my paint is not that wet.
What brand of masking tape do you recommend? Everything I’ve tried so far rips up the paper!
I love your paintings, so subtle and poetical, as well as your explanations. I have a question, when you let a first layer dry, you do not use a dryer, why is that? Thank you in advance ❤
I prefer to let the paint dry naturally but if you like to use a dryer I say go for it 😀 Happy painting 🎨🎨
Layers of gesso won't interfere with the "watercolor-like" method you use?
Are you using watercolor paper or what type? Did you gesso it first? Thank you for the fantastic video!
I found the answer further on in your video, thank you!🤪
Hey, what paper do you use to paint on?
What kind of paper and weight?
I’m having trouble with painting this way on larger canvases. It looks boring. What am I doing wrong?
no
I understand the concept of mark making, I think but to be honest it just looks like scribble.
