- Welcome to MojoPlays and today we’re ranking every Assassin’s Creed’s Final Boss. For this list, we’ll be looking at the boss fights in this long-running stealth-action series to determine which battles have a great blend of challenging gameplay and immersive storytelling. We're excluding spinoffs to focus on the bosses most relevant to the series' overarching premise. Our list includes Cesare Borgia from “Assassin’s Creed: Brotherhood" (2010), Deimos from “Assassin’s Creed Odyssey” (2018), Basim Ibn Ishaq from “Assassin’s Creed Valhalla” (2020), Lucius Septimius from “Assassin’s Creed Origins” (2017) and more! For the record, Deimos' boss fight CAN be avoided, and has different outcomes depending on your decisions:
Best Ending (agree to save Deimos and refuse to fight him): Deimos finally defects from the Cult of Kosmos and returns home with his mother and half-sister, as well as (assuming they're still alive) his father and adopted brother.
Good (and canonical) Ending (refuse to save Deimos and agree to fight him): Kassandra kills Deimos and returns home with her mother.
Bad Ending (agree to save Deimos and agree to fight him): After Deimos' death, Myrinne (Kassandra's mother) disowns her daughter.
Worst Ending (refuse to save Deimos and refuse to fight him): Deimos kills Myrinne and is killed by Kassandra in retaliation.
I know the Ezio Trilogy and New Games tend to get praise, but the Kenway story (AC3, AC4, and AC Rouge) is my favorite of the Universe. Seeing how Edward, Haytham, and Conner manipulated events in their times, and all three of them changed the world.

You mention AC Rogue, but not Shay? He basically destroyed the colonial brotherhood by himself.
With Odessy you don’t actually need to have Deimos as the final boss. If you do the correct dialogue option you can make Deimos be good again and have a family reunion yay

According to the Origins story, Flavius is the final boss. But we kill Septimius in the end. Bayeks only target was his son's killer, which was Flavius
True, and fight with flavius is more difficult than septimius
My guess is they just with with Septimius because he’s the final boss we do end up fighting but I agree Flavius is the true final boss because he’s the leader of the order and the person Bayek has been searching for since he blames him for the death of Khemu even though Bayek was the one who killed his son
Haytham and Connor's boss battle reminded me of Star wars' Luke and Darth Vader
We all new that Al Mualim was gonna be number 1. I mean he lowers your health down to zero bar with the power of the apple. My heart beat to beat it in the 1st try was on another level of survival status.
Actually, there's an exploit in AC1 which allows you to defeat any of the tough enemies (including Al Mualim) relatively easily. Counterattack, close up quickly and use your hidden blade while he's down. The timing is hard to catch, though.
I used only counteratacks...but still, you can get killed. But, you have one option to deal damage with ease...throwing daggers, and if you keep them to the final fight, you have some 15 of them...and that can turn nightmare to quite standart fight for average players..

the scene is really great, not the final boss itself though
This list was great but i'd put cesare on the 3rd spot because of how powerful the scene is
This list is about the gameplay, if cesare is hard to you, you just have to shoot 6 pistol bullets and a few sword hits, i killed him in 2 minutes bruh.
This man thinks Starrick, and some forgettable antagonist in Rogue, were better than the whole Borgia storyline

Assassin's creed 1 really had the best boss fight no comment on that, The moment that I enjoyed most in that boss fight was when you needed to kill all of your targets that you killed one more time.

Demos is not a final boss, it’s the hecatonchires since canonically the Atlantis dlc is the last event before Korfu and even then you have to fight Barnabas in the end of the Korfu dlc

Well that’s DLC and they focused on the main game because that’s the main story people will play through tho I do agree with people that Deimos is a weak final boss because why give us the option to just Talk no Justu our way out of the fight

I beat the last boss on ac2 with half of my original HP (cuz broken Armor) and I only have 7-8 meds left and I still won.
Fist fighting the Pope is the best boss fight in gaming history.
I got the cutscene immediately in AC Rogue for Liam.

I had mode issues fighting Flavius than Septimius in my playthrough of Origins, So I see Flavius as the more final boss, Septimius is just an extra

@@arthurmorgan7026 I would give the game an 8 just because of the bugs and repetitive combat but I'm having so much fun just roaming,exploring and completing side quests...it's one of my favourite games too...my favourite game of all time is Uncharted 4

Original Assassin's Creed may be a bad game for today's standard but Defeating the final boss Al Mualim and beating the game was so satisfying.
I'd love to see a ranking for final bosses in the Final Fantasy series.

Ac ii I can see but I disagree. Brotherhood was good. I love it. It's very immersive. Basically most comments I have heard defended the BOSS FIGHTS and not the full game. How is Liam better than Ceasera

About rodrigo borgia, i think ubisoft wanted to put a reason why ezio trained for so long, so they did'nt much put special things for rodrigo, so you just require what you learnt, that's just what i think.
Im surprised you didn't put the lamp from ac2 on this list

its funny that even the original assassins creed`s voice acting and lip syncing is better than assassins creed odyssey's voice acting
ac has to be the best open world game its so cool in graphics story line like it all makes sense and its really fun and its a bit challenging so itll take u some time to complete it not like horizon i completed it in 1 day yall agree?

Ubisoft 2007-2017 was arguably the best developer of stealth-action games but failed as a whole in their last 2 games (I like Valhalla tho), for now Rockstar sits at the top of open world games
The way I beat rodrigo is a just threw smoke bombs the whole time and beat him up with Altaïr’s sword it was a really short and easy fight
AC: Odyssey - just calling the fight with Deimos the final is... true in some ways, but false in others. He's the end fight of a bad playthrough of the Cultist major story, but the Atlantis major story ends with a possible fight against Pythagoras which is also tough, and depending on the order you do them in, either could be considered a final battle, or neither, since again, they're both optional fights

In AC I you kill your own mentor, in AC III you kill your own father and your best friend, in AC Liberation you kill your own stepmom, in AC Black Flag you kill several of your friends friends, in AC Odyssey you kill your own brother and father and stepfather and stepbrother, and in AC Valhalla you also kill someone who’s slowly become somewhat of an friend. Kind of surprised you chose Liam as the saddest

Fighting Haytham isn't not much hard. Harder is to beat Rodrigo
The last boss of the original game to me will always be the best of the series as for its time the reveal of the power of the Apple of Eden was just mind Blowing. AC died with ezio and altair anyway for me at least.

Not even only on a mechancal level was it interesting the dialogue and quality of the writing between Al Mualim and Altair was much better than any other game after that IMO.
Agreed, Rodrigo and Cesare are my favorites for actually combat but as for story significance…… Al Mualim will always take the cake. And yeah…… AC lost that extre Umph after Revelations

Hardly any of these were final bosses…Connor faced Charles Lee, Aya faced Julius Caesar (funny how Bayek fizzled out and was replaced by a better protagonist, stupid ass Origins devs), Kassandra/Alexios faced Aspasia, and Eivor confronted Aelfred…granted most of those were actual battles, but those are the final bosses nonetheless!!
odyssey only had a final boss if you got the bad ending. unless you count the one that's in the middle of the final conquest battle.
Pretty sure you fight Deimos even in the good ending.
I had everyone survive and still fought Deimos in the mountain.

Maybe I'm wrong, but I have a very vivid memory of rematching Deimos on the mountain but not killing her.
Like I managed to stop her from killing our mom, but still fought her.
Edit: okay, I did some research and figure it out. You can spare her after the battle, apparently.
Edit: nevermind, you can't. So I dunno, maybe I just confused the final boss with the one where you fight in a battlefield
id feel like the final boss in AC Origins is Flavius.
All I can say is THANK YOU for having the CORRECT characters in their CANON ROLES in the Odyssey clips.
@history0419 I think that's the point of them having two characters to play as despite one of them being canonically the main character
Personally i think rodrigos fight though easy is one of the best its sort of like lord gwyn from dark souls easy absolutely but its such a great fight with the music and the fact that he was teased throughout the whole game behind all the power hes still just an old man

I beat septimius on my first try
For me the AC origin boss was so easy whenever I got close it just never hit me and it was just mindless attacking.
Try it on nightmare mode, honest to god on par with some dark souls bosses. It was like a one hit from the boss and next to no damage on the players end. Plus on nightmare there aren't any ranged attacks so you have to time everything perfectly

Yeah. If you didn't convince them to turn to your side, you can get in a fight with them. It's really easy though

I decided not to kill Deimos
Haytham Kenway is the best villain in the series. But the boss fight of him was a dissapointment. I expected more like first we fight with the weapons and we become so tired that we can't even hold weapons so we started to fight with fists. Than we get more tired and injured so we can't move. Than a final speech would be fine when the both of us laying down. And after the speech we kill him sneakly. That would be a awesome boss fight. Because Haytham is more expereinced than Connor. He is capable of everything that we can do. He is stronger than us. But the original one was a shame for Haytham.

Yeah. Syndicate and Odyssey were the worst. I do think that they could have made the bosses more challenging in the Ezio trilogy. That's the only complaint I have for the Ezio trilogy

I didn't care much for the Lorenzo fight. It didn't really feel like a fight, and the energy beams are super easy to avoid

So many issues with this shit. Ranking Ac2 last but ac1 first when your focus is on 'gameplay'? How can it feel stagnant in one and repetitive in another when it's almost the same move set?
Second, how can say Ac3 finale is easy because he has a simple set of moves but berate Basim for having a complex move set?
You contradict on so many occasions, sometimes describing just the story links, actual fight or environment. Is it all of these, none of these or just one? Because your focus and reasoning change with each entry.
I'll wait for an actual AC channel to make a ranking video and link it for you mate.
