I've really enjoyed this season. I haven't minded the venturing out from the first season that focused on panning the retail environment - it's really cool seeing the characters we've grown to love venture out onto new adventures and the surrealness of it all gives me the same vibes as community which is one of my favourite shows. The lord of the rings episode looked like it was going to be too silly but ended up being my favourite from this season - and this Christmas one was funny and quite touching at the end. Great work Slap Bang! :)

Oh no, that's realistic - they're on salary, not wages, so it's expected that they turn up... and the fact that there's normally nobody in corporate as well is real.
I'm one and i have to work it... and it's my 30th too, but Head Office are urging me to, but they are paying me a time and a half for it thankfuck for that
A lot of great one liners, a ton of customer interactions and a great way of showing the entire cast at the end. This really showed what made Rostered on so good in the first few seasons and while it went a tiny bit wacky I think you really nailed the Boxing day and family element of working in retail. It's easily the best written episode of the entire season and probably top 3 overall. I don't know if you've got a season 4 planned but you've gone out on a wonderful high Ryan so thank you for the laughs this evening and good luck with your next shows/season 4!
Wow what a great end to the season! I wasn't super into the first few episodes, but they got progressively more fun, and then this one really pulled it all together. Great writing, pacing & performances all round, and that little bit of heart is what the season had been missing - Beautiful stuff. Keep creating!

Most who have worked in retail can relate to a lot of things in the RO seasons. Boxing day though. This is exactly what it feels like. It's unpredictable, anything could come through those doors and you have to be ready.
Hate to be the grumpy cat, but S3 was definitely a no. As someone who binged the whole series in around a week (never heard of until 10 days ago or so), it's not the nostalgia talking, it really is SO weird. Since I'm not here to shit on the show without a reason (especially since I oved two thirds of it), I will explain "what went wrong" (in my eyes, of course) and made S3 really bad. S1 & S2 had connecting storylines, character development (Shawn leaving the job to pursue photography, Dan dating Tess, Sara taking the leap and buying the cafe, Gary being fired and then re-hired...). Something was ACTUALLY HAPPENING, while S3 is ENTIRELY vertical: the only "purpose" the episodes have is the comedy, no kind of any story progression whatsoever at all. There's not a single "change in the status quo" that happened from the first minute of the first episode of S3 to the last second of the last episode. Adam has been absurdly flanderized... actually, all remaining characters have, Adam's just the most evident. And also, yes, that: the tons of characters that disappeared. Starting from Shawn who, at least in S1, was the protagonist (and while not "the protagonist" anymore in S2, he still had a major role). Sara, Dan, Tess, Vish, Montana... Basically half of the cast was gone, including characters that had just joined in S2. I know that issues like those may have IRL reasons (when an actor leaves for other projects, or any other reason) so most of the time you can't just recast them as if nothing happened so it's better to cut them out, but understanding the IRL reasons doesn't make it less weird in the show. Not to mention, it wasn't ONE character leaving, but half the cast. I don't know the reasons but gooood you can feel that indeed. Lastly, even the comedy. It went from pseudo-realistic retail shenaningans (I work in retail, so yeah, been there done that lol know all those kinds of weird/bad customers) to a delirious, absurd comedy of CSI parody to find who took a shit, cults built arount the goss and cursed badges that make you go Adam. It also went from intentionally USING cringe and second hand embarrassment as comedy tools, like The Office or Superstore, to... at least to me, BEING cringe. Many times I literally found it hard to watch but clinged in the hopes to "get over that slope" but, besides very few funny moments, that moment never came. As I said, there were some funny moments, and with some, now that I think of it, I mean two. The episode were the girls pretend to be with Winston and Spencer and the one where Sarah beefs with the guy who broke the tv in his car. Which, coincidentally, are among the few who start from a "realistic" work-related premise like in the previous 2 seasons: finding someone to cover your shift and dealing with a horrible customer. So yeah, those are my 2 cents. Didn't want to go "hurr durr this sucks" and leave without a reason, that doesn't help, the best I could wish is for a Season 4 to be as great as S1 and S2 by not repeating the same mistakes that S3 made.
