TPLEX update as of June 2020 (Pozorrubio - Sison - Rosario)

- After two months of ECQ / Lockdown works on the #TPLEX #TarlacPangasinanLaUnionExpressway resumed. The remaining 12 km section of #TPLEX is almost complete. Currently, the TPLEX terminus is at Pozorrubio and soon will extend towards Rosario Rotunda (Formerly Pugo - Rosario Rd / Manila North Road Junction) Travelling to the Cordillera region and Ilocos will be easy now with the TPLEX.
The Pozorrubio to Sison portion is almost complete. If only the ecq did not happened i guess this should be finished by now. The construction works on the Sison Interchange is still on going, we could also see road signs installed on some portions. The Sison Interchange will lead you to MacArthur Highway / Manila North Road.
Thank you to SMC Infrastructure and Private Infra Dev Corp #PIDC for delivering to us this alternative road towards the north. I am so excited to see this open hopefully next month? (Fingers crossed)

Grabe Luzon Spine is getting shape. From North La Union and Cabanatuan to South Laguna Cavite and Quezon. Hopefully Visayas Bridges will push through. 🤞🤞🤞

Originally from Baguio but currently residing in Manila. This is a game changer. It has been too long a time coming and finally at long last the Rosario exit is almost complete. Home isn’t on opposite ends for my kids anymore.. they just have bigger back yard now 👍🏼😉 Salud! Great video btw looking forward to the next update 👍🏼🙌🏼

I'm so exited that Sison and Rosario exits will open to all motorists soon. Gusto ko pagka pupunta at aakyat ako sa Baguio dito na ako dadaan sa TPLEX. Mas magiging mabilis ang biyahe galing ka ng metro manila pagka na open na ang NLEX SLEX Connector aka skyway stage 3. Magiging masaya ang pasko ng mga taga norte ngayong year na ito. Just thinking of all the hours I have spent in the past flogging up and down MacArthur Highway to La Union and Baguio, by car, van, pick-up and bus....
The only thing that bothers me about SCTEX-TPLEX is the lack of rest stops. Considering its length, there should be around 3-4 in both directions. Right now there is only one that exists.
For sure there's a provision for such. Back in the days, STAR didnt have rest stops too.
Once the traffic flows increase they'll probably do so.
The Interstate system in America is designed to have essentially an exit every 2 kilometers, and 5 kilometers max without an exit.
I love Kennon Road and the magnificent Bridal Falls etc.

Well ok na yan kesa wala pero tyak mahal ang toll fee nyan. Mas maigi siguro kung sinama nila sa road design ang provision para sa mga high speed trains.

In Europe whenever they build new motorways (or expressway), part of the design and contractual obligations is to plant low height growing (but not fruit bearing) trees at the sides or slopes all along the stretch of these roads as much as possible. Reasons are:
* Air pollution control as these trees will capture the CO2 emissions of fossil fuels burning vehicles.
*Prevent erosion of the highway slopes.
* Trees are also good and calming to see around the surrounding.
* Serve as boundaries from communities living along the motorway.
* Trees could reduce noise pollution of the vehicular traffic.
Sana matuloy na ang extension ng SLEX hanggang Matnog, Sorsogon. Para mabilis ang byahe.
Finally, after almost 15 years matatapos na rin ang project. This was originally proposed for Japan ODA funding in 2005 noong time ni PGMA pero nakiusap ang isang grupo ng local contractors na ibigay sa kanila ang project as a PPP project. Kung itinuloy ang ODA funding dapat tapos na yan noong 2010 pa.
Humihingi ng lagay si gma kaya natengga kamo.

Jose II i dont think thats possible, baguio is 5,000ft above sea level and if theres a plan to build a expressway there, it would cost more because they would build bridges instead of roads because of high altitude.

Why not include the railway in the middle of the road project? so that the government is not making another way or route going to provinces if the railway will open -up again? So instead of buying another way of right for the project, the government will spend it on other incoming projects. Hoping that it will happen because we know that people are needing a place to live, also farmers needed soil for food for every Filipino.
