- The remaining 12 km section of #TPLEX will soon be complete. This is the last portion of the originally designed #TarlacPangasinanLaUnionExpressway . Currently, the TPLEX terminus is at Pozorrubio and soon will extend towards Rosario Rotunda (Formerly Pugo Rosario Rd - Manila North Road Junction) Travelling to the Cordillera region will be easy now with the TPLEX. From the rotunda you have three choices to up to Baguio, via Marcos Highway (go further to Pugo) or Kennon Road or the Asin Nangalisan Road
On the Sison Interchange portion, you could see the new exit and entry to Manila North Road, a toll plaza is also being erected.
Thank you to SMC Infrastructure and Private Infra Dev Corp #PIDC for delivering to us this alternative road towards the north.

Well, they certainly have been busy! The last time I saw one of these updates, there was a lot that looked like it had only just been started. NOW look at it! Thanks for making and posting this update, for the benefit of those of us who can't get there in person to see.

This is definitely one expressway where the speed limit should be increased to 130. There's barely any tight turns that merits the lower speed limit it has today. I love the wide shoulder for emergency stops. All in all, I don't mind paying the hefty price just to enjoy this asphalt heaven in northern Luzon.

My speed is just only 60kph
because most Filipinos don't know how to drive propery and safely.

It's beautiful leveling up the construction quality in PHI, but I haven't seen some form of a drainage system for the road itself, to where rainwater will go after heavy downfall, and so the road itself will be like a big basin catching all the water on its entirety. Ok. think, at 12:42. it is on the side. Thank you for the update.

Dapat sana nilagyan ng rail road sa gitna ng north and southbound lane. Pwede na gawin or pwede din abang lang for the future. Masyado mahaba na kasi expressway, para magprogress din busineess ng northern luzon dahil sa easy access para sa commuter.

what is best at TPLEX is the ricefield view/scenery. it's so refreshing. you don't even know you're running more than 100 kph. hahaha
Can't wait for the expressway to open. It really made a mundane 8 hour trip to visit relatives in my hometown (Naguilian) to a 4-5 or so hour trip whenever I come home to the Philippines. It'll be even better once DPWH approves the TPLEX extension to San Juan in the future, provided that they don't raze my relatives' house in Naguilian.
There's always sacrifice and price to pay to welcome change and progress, let's support for the good of God and country... we Filipinos can feel good now that we can finally see a better things to come

Can't help to have mixed feelings, nice development but it hurts me see agriculture land disappear. Time to revive our old and forgotten railroad network. I will surely miss "the green green grass of home".

Thanks for posting this. When was the video recorded? I drove the section from Rosario to Sison in December. Has any work started north of Rosario?
The sison to rosario segment was closed last january 16. We shot this end of february and soon the pozorrubio to sison and sison to rosario will be opened soon.

A modern highway like TPLEX should have a maximum speed of 150kph per hour only on left side, 120kph on the middle, and 100kph on the right lane. Left lane should serve as passing lane only. All Autobahn in Germany are no speed limit, i.e., cars for high-speed design go as fast as 300kph or higher, and a minimum speed of 120kph on the right lane. Accidents happen rarely because of restriction and decipline. Left lane serves strictly for passing lane whereas right lane for heavy vehicles, like busses and trucks, should go not lower than 120kph to avoid obstruction. As for TPLEX, management should impose entry restriction for old vehicles and slow-moving vehicles which cause traffic obstruction to the imposed-speed regulation. However, for strict traffic-rule implimentation, stiff amount of penalty should be posted along the stretch of TPLEX.

This is good for the north guys and residents along. But i pity the houses along the ditch for the first 2 minutes of the video. Pag-heavy rain lubog ang nasa baba no side slopes. At side slopes are too steep. kapag may nadulas sa sides ang commuters sapol ang nasa baba (residents) too close and too dangerous. hope my guard rails at least. But finally it helps to ease the traffic. just my two cents. I agree below, at least bike lanes.

I hope the lgu's won't let the lands near that expressway become commercial, residential and industrial areas because the scenery there is just effing beautiful. You will really feel that you're far away from metro manila.
