Martha is one of the best no comparison to some of the young women pianist of today. She is just so expressive even in her bodily contrlled expression so classy none of this exaggerated facial and body expression but real excellent playing.
My dearest Max, the best recital for a cloudy grey Sunday morning in Buenos Aires. I heard her the previous year. These are recitals impossible to forget! I can't thank you enough for your restoration work on Marthtita!! Priceless. Unmatched. The best, that no money can buy!!! Yes, THE BEST!!! ♥️

through my eyes she is huge, fantastic. I can't help noticing her irregular, fast, rubato tempo even some indifence that I don't know why I feel by seeing her performance. many pianist play beautifully, passionate, sensitive but she is beyond from all of us. her music her talent her personality is as big or ever bigger than music itself.
@@pjbpiano Yep, still true! Where did those 8 years go, anyway? Since then, I did get to hear her live (Prok 3) in Carnegie Hall about 3 years ago. Very athletic concerto and she would have been about 77 at the time. Still electrifying.

Couldn't they find a better piano? Or a piano tuner? These are excellent interpretations, very much in Argerich's style, but the horrendously mistuned piano is painful to listen to. She must have hated it, but showed her professionalism throughout.

I think I'm just in love with everything about her playing.
Just discovered her and I feel the same
Including her :)

this woman's playing, and interpretations of most any composer - is often with-out equal - one of the greatest pianists I've heard
I never expect to hear a performance of this piece better than this one.
what piece? there are several... ugh..... another generated TH-cam comment from paid boosts :((((

Liszt's étude is called "La leggierezza" and is the second one from his "Trois études de concert" S. 144.
No one like the young Argerich.
doGreatartistsgrowontrees? Wrong
Hilbert Black mhm then who is better?
Even now, she is amazing
An ability like this is beyond phenomenal. It's also beyond human as we know it.

Playing this beautiful makes me cry. Ethereal.
Such pianism, and glamour.
She's still going strong. Nothing "old" about her at all!
8 years later and this is still true!

Modigliani doesn’t do her justice at all
Thank you Max! And what can one say more about Martha? Better just shut up and enjoy.
