Some of these were still there very much, there's just a lot more in the franchise that overshadows some of them. But Tony's PTSD and the Collector and Thor's searches for the Infinity Stones were still there. Thor admits that he has had trouble finding many of the Stones, and he probably only really knew of where half of them were, not to mention one was hidden quite well, and the Nova Corps. and Doctor Strange had the other two, which he may not have automatically known when he finds Surtur.

Thor's search for the Infinity Stones wasn't abandoned. He knew that Doctor Strange has the Time stone his amulet when he was over at the New York Sanctum, the Nova Corps with the Power stone, his folks gave the Collector the Reality stone, confident that the Mind stone is safe with the Vision, heck Asgard even holds the Tesseract, which just happened to be the Space stone, so he didn't really stopped on that before Ragnarok goes down. The only stone short on his search is the Soul stone, which Gamora knew of its whereabouts and kept it to herself the whole time until Thanos tortures Nebula.

The MCU leaving these “issues” unresolved allows them to go back and fill it in with the stories. Most of this is likely dependent on the current contracts with each actor. Basically get the whole avengers story out than go back and fill in the blanks

    • @JamailvanWestering
      @JamailvanWestering 2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

Except some of these issues overstretch the Avengers story.. Sokovia Accords per example, remember those that didn’t sign or broke them would be arrested it would be law but other than a slap on the wrist Falcon and Bucky, should have arrested.
The problem entirely with the MCU is certain stuff gets ignored just to serve the story, like the PTSD and the Accords. Even the comics did the issue of SHRA better than the movies did with the Sokovia.

Thor did know Xandar had the power stone. In age of Ultron he says the mind stone is the 4th of the infinity stones to appear in 4 years. Meaning he’s aware of the Mind, Reality, Space, and Power stones.
Also, the Sokovia Accords fell on the wayside because of the Snap. War Machine was about to be punished for breaking them during Infinity War but the snap caused the world to have higher priorities, which allowed Captain America to come back to the public eye

Even before the Snap, the Accords weren't utilized well. In _Captain America: Civil War_ it's stated that superheroes are no longer allowed to engage in conflicts, be it on domestic or foreign soil, without U.N. permission. Spider-Man did not sign them (but he aligned with Tony's pro-Accords signed team) & T'Challa/Black Panther was arrested by authorities in _Civil War_ after chasing Bucky.
Yet in _Spider-Man: Homecoming_ Spider-Man is climbing the Washington Monument during a time which an explosion is set off. The authorities don't know about the Chitauri bomb. Yeah, they know Spider-Man saved the kids on the elevator, but the whole point of the Accords was to prevent powered people from being involved in incidents due to property damage & human casualties. In _Black Panther_ T'Challa is chasing Klaue in Busan, South Korea, and the chase causes damage & injures people. Again, the very reason the Accords exist.
Yet it never comes up in those films as a "hey, you did so & so which is against the Accords." Basically the Accords were introduced but at the same time Marvel was like "well our heroes aren't gonna wait for the U.N. to determine if they can go, so let's just not mention it."

The PTSD one was addressed. It led to going all out on the Secovia accords, and why he went over the when fighting cap and Bucky. Later in infinity wars, Peppers calls him out on wearing armor in the beginning. It’s also why he was so protective of Peter. And finally, it all culminated in endgame when Pepper tells him that they will be okay before he dies. You see him finally rest.

I was kind of sad that Thor and Sif's relationship wasn't allowed to be explored further after the events of Thor: The Dark World. I mean, I understand that Sif's actress had scheduling conflicts that wouldn't allow her to appear, but I would've really loved to see Sif fight for Asgard one last time in Thor: Ragnarok and maybe even fight alongside Thor and Valkyrie in the final battles of Avengers: Infinity War and Endgame.
In spite of Sif being MIA since the events of Thor: The Dark World though (outside of a small hallucination cameo in Loki), maybe it's for the best that Sif hasn't been around for a while, as Waititi and the Russo brothers might have just chosen to kill her off at literally ANY point within Thor: Ragnarok, Avengers: Infinity War, and Endgame. And anyway, I think Sif is finally going to return to screen again next year in Thor: Love and Thunder, so after seeing Thor go through so much in the last few years, I guess there's that to look forward to.

I think one possibility for the Iron Man tech issue might be answerable. It could be because of what Justin Hammer did at the Stark Expo, showing off the Iron Man tech to the world and seemingly getting hacked by Ivan at the penultimate point of the movie, possibly the world organizations realized that this tech does pose a very real threat and could only be handled by Tony alone. Or we go with the simple explanation, Tony has a copyright on his tech and all that comes with the suit.

I don't really agree with this top 10. I feel like most of this top 10 can be explained better as not abandoned but the characters attention fell somewhere else, the S accords, infinity war happened right after so of course they become irrelevant. Iron man's PTSD was also hinted in civil war and infinity war.

The flash backs weren’t suppose to be the main thing, it was to show you what he was going through and seeing because it was HIS movie, and afterwards all his decisions were guided by that and that’s why he made ultron and why the phrase “a suit around the world” is brought up more than once and why he says that

  • @maryo274artworks4
    @maryo274artworks4 ปีที่แล้ว

This is just a crazy idea but one good oportunity to revisit Tony's PTSD would have been having him help someone else with PTSD, for example Peter Parker during the 2 years between Homecoming and Infinity War. In Homecoming, Peter went through some seriously traumatizing experiences. He got crushed by a building and struggled to break free, he was in a crashing plane, he was brutally beaten up by his crush's dad and then had to go through burning rubble to get him out. Sure he's Spider-Man and he's super strong and what-not but at this point in time this would have logically been his very first "final fight to the death" with his first archenemy. And at this point he was barely 15, things like that would hit hard for any teenager his age. Add that to his Uncle Ben's death, which was confirmed to exist and died after Peter got his powers (which could have been explored in other kinds of media), and sooner or later Peter would have to deal with PTSD issues of his own like lack of sleep, depressive episodes and panic attacks. Having Tony, his mentor and fellow hero, talk with Peter, open up about his own PTSD caused by hero duty and personal loss, and help him get through it in some way, not only would bring back Tony's trauma arc full circle by helping someone else deal with issues similar to his, but would also give some very needed development to Tony as a mentor and paternal figure for Peter, and flesh out their bond to show us how the two of them got to that father-son relationship later movies confirmed them to have.

A lot of these Abandoned story arks have not really been abandoned yet. Tony Stark learned to cope with his PTSD in Iron Man 3 thanks to the advice from the kid who told him "You're a mechanic, right? Build something." So Tony leaned to cope with his PTSD by building stuff. Hulk is scheduled to appear in the She-Hulk series. Other Nations working on suit tech will likely get addressed in the Armor Wars series. Finally, the Sokovia Accords are a fall back story for when someone wants to control the Avengers or anyone else with superhuman abilities. It was always a storyline meant to be used and reused when needed.

And when he asked if they were with him they all said yes as apparently Yondu's heroic sacrifice lit that same mental-fire in them and the post-credits scene ends with Mainframe going "This is going to be great I missed you guys." followed by Starhawk giving the order to prepare for their next great misadventure.

Some of these can be explained very simply...
Tony's PTSD persists throughout the movies, as others pointed out.
Thor probably lied when it came to the power stone. He *DID* know it was on Xandar during Infinity War, so he must have assumed it was safe there.
Damage Control is quite literally just clean-up. They don't engage in any of the action, they are just there to repair and store away stuff.
The Sokovia Accords were written specifically for the Avengers, and their oversight was specifically for international activities. Falcon and the Winter Soldier happens within US territory, so does WandaVision, so the Accords don't even apply to begin with, and even if they did, it's been 7 years of the Accords quite literally just being a glorified folder, because after they were written, the Avengers split up and went into hiding, and after Infinity War happened, the Avengers were literally not needed because most of planet earth went into early retirement, so to speak, processing that half of all human life is gone just like that and trying to manage a very sudden global underpopulation.

Hulk is fine as secondary character. He is oddly too complex despite seeming to be such a simple character

    Here's my response to these...
10: This one wasn't really a big deal to begin with. Sure it was teased to be a big deal in the post-credit scene of Thor: The Dark World, but after the Collector got a huge dose of embarrassment from the Guardians of the Galaxy, it makes sense why he wouldn't continue looking for the stones. That, and I'm not sure that he had the MEANS to look for the rest of the stones afterwards.
9: Never really a big deal to begin with. No one was really asking about this one.
8: Even though it's not in the forefront, Tony's PTSD influenced a lot of his decisions through the rest of the MCU. He created Ultron as a result of his PTSD and also supported the Sokovia Accords. He even says in Infinity War that Thanos has been stuck in his head for years at that point. Also, his alcoholism was mentioned in this video, but it wasn't really a big thing in the MCU. That was more prominent in the comics.
7: Thor literally said he went looking for Infinity Stones when we see him in Ragnarok. He may have already heard about the Power Stone being with the Nova Corps and learned that the Soul Stone was incredibly hidden, which is likely why he "gave up"
6: I can't really comment on this one because I've only seen up through Season 2
    5: I haven't seen this one either
4: The Sokovia Accords were mentioned in Infinity War when Ross and Rhodey were arguing. Ross tells Rhodey to arrest Cap, Sam, and Nat. However, who's to say that the Accords weren't thrown out after Infinity War wiped out half of the universe, given that Cap and Nat were basically unofficially pardoned and never arrested. This is likely why Sam and Bucky had a little more freedom in their show, and in the case of Spider-Man, he was on a school field trip after all and was under the supervision of Nick Fury...or rather, his replacement Skrull.
3: To be fair, after the Battle of New York in the first Avengers movie, I don't think any country really wants to go to war with each other anymore. That's why hostile foreign relations pretty much ended after a certain point in the MCU.
2: Okay, when you take the pandemic into consideration, Endgame is still a recent movie. There may or may not be payoff sooner or later about Hulk and Banner becoming one consciousness. Even then, I feel like a brief explanation that Banner gives in Endgame of what happened is already sufficient.
1: This one is the one that makes the most sense to be here. Granted, part of the reason we never got payoff for the Leader was mostly because Universal still owns the Hulk and thus it causes more hoops for Marvel to get another standalone Hulk movie. There are rumors about him and the Abomination coming back in She-Hulk (even though Abomination had a quick cameo in Shang-Chi). I won't really confirm anything yet because half the sites are places that have a bad track record of saying things like "Spider-Man is slated to make 9 more MCU standalone movies" and stuff like that

The dumbest storyline imo was the Hulk and Black Widow romance made 0 sense, had no development, and the actors had no chemistry unlike Captain America and Black Widow which had all of that I don’t know why they never explored that since it was in the comics as well.

First off, the movies don't have to follow the comics. This is like arguing Hermione and Harry Potter are mean for each other. There's a difference in what YOU want and view as good chemistry versus the reality of what THEY want. Whether or not they have chemistry as actors is irrelevant, the characters and their dialogue indicate they like each other. Literally in the avengers their first scene together indicates a unique dynamic in which black widow actually doesn't feel like she has control. This isn't true for say captain america. But you're allowed to hate it but don't go claiming bullshit yourself.

@@coletrainhetrick Lol I never saw that “dynamic” honestly, most fans agree that they didn’t have chemistry and that whole romance just felt strange there’s a reason why that whole storyline was practically abandoned and chemistry is important because that’s what makes a storyline like that believable the fact that they didn’t have any made it feel forced.

@@goku8621 don't go claiming "most fans". Its your opinion and you acting as if other people's opinion matter (despite the fact this isn't even a majority opinion) is irrelevant, literally refer back to my Hermione and Harry Potter comment. Furthermore they never abandoned anything, so you are actively ignoring the movies at that point for no reason. You're allowed to think it's shitty and has no chemistry, you already said that, now move on. You have yet to make a point relating to what I said and just spouting bullshit

almost every "storyline" you mention is NOT storyline, they are simply events, that's different. But well, nice clickbait WatchMojo.

Tivan couldn’t get all the infinity stones because the soul stone had been lost for eons, the mind stone was on earth, the space stone was in the hands of the asguardins, time was in the hands of the sorcerer supreme, and he had the reality stone and almost got the power stone. Damage control is something in the background and never really needed a front runner. Tony’s PTSD was explored through the rest of his arc in the MCU. Thor’s search for the stones would have ended in futility because the soul stone was impossible to be found. And we know that he knew that Thor knew the stone was on Xandar by his comment in Infinity war. Sadly with Agents of Shield being both canceled and considered no longer canon to the rest of the MCU we won’t see an answer. Same with Luke Cage’s story. Unless something changes we won’t see any of the Agents or Netflix shows stories end. Upon the events of Infinity war and Endgame the accords were kind of null and void because the world needed the heroes. With all the chaos of people returning after 5 years people needed help. In the entirety of the marvel universe the only real threat to Tony’s tech are A.I.M., Oscorp, and Hammer Industries. Two of them have shown up in in the MCU and with both being made short work of it makes sense the other countries wouldn’t bother continuing dealing with the tech. I agree with hulks arc. The leader is gonna be playing a massive role in the upcoming she-hulk show.

    2. Hulk issue is due to movie right problems with Paramount, which was very sad as a comic book fan.
    3. Armor Wars will deal with Iron armor issues.
    4. Sokovia accords probably will be the backbone of Dark Avengers.
    8. Stark's PTSD lead him to an obsession with protecting the world and lead to Iron-Legion, Ultron, etc.
No offence but I'm pretty sure if you make this list before Infinity War we would have found Thanos in the list. 😂
    But,
+ What happened to all the new personals in the new Avengers facility, there were many people at the end of Age of Ultron, but they didn't appear again.
+ Ending of Iron Fist season 2 left many people with more questions.

If you think about it, it was due to Thor’s power that half the population of the universe was erased. Given it was within his power to kill Thanos and didn’t do it(not for lack of trying of course) so his vision was right
