the shared laughter of strangers in theaters during Marvel movies is a rare joy in my life.
This list could be made up entirely of Tony Stark's, Thor's or Rocket Raccoon's comebacks and I wouldn't complain at all.

It was absolutely better than half the ones they chose. I put it as # 3 behind "why is gamora" and "genius, billionaire, playboy, philanthropist"
all these years later and i still find myself snickering at that scene.
the list is for best comeback lines, while "puny god" is undoubtedly funny, the unexpected beat-down Hulk gives Loki just before the line is much funnier.

It may not be MCU, but no one can forget Darth Vader's comebacks, whether it's about a lack of faith or being braver than most.
We need a general badguy list for this sort of thing.
Scarlet Johansson's little eyebrow tip completely makes that scene in #1.
The "Why is Gamora?" was funny before the internet ran it into the fucking ground.
As soon as i saw the title, I was like “they made this so they could do that I am Iron Man scene and make us all cry again.”
I’ve been in many full audiences when I see movies and let me tell you, we laugh and clap at the same time (especially Puny God, Violet Parr has water coming out of her nose and Masobi screaming thinking he’s going die)
That Drax line is undefeated!
Two and one should have been switched around. In the theater, two had everyone laughing. One was witty, but didn't get the same response at all.

Yes, Drax does it often, and it's funny.
But Stark has more examples, Dr. Strange has quite a few as well.

And what's better, was how both Cap and Tony were utterly wrong. Cap said that Tony wans't the kind of guy to make the sacrifice play, and we all know how that ended up. And Tony said that everything special about cap came out of a bottle, but Cap finally ended up being so worth as he could wield Thors Hammer. Wonderful symmetry there.

And yet it went full force since Civil War when Captain America beat Iron Man in a fight, and in Endgame, Tony Stark got in Steve Rogers face and calling him a liar and refuses to help him. And five years later, they finally buried the hatchet and called for a truce
All of Tony’s are great. Although his “Genius, billionaire, playboy, philanthropist” is probably the best. My personal favorites are Wanda’s “You Will” and “And I Am…Iron Man”
