Super heavy track alright. We had had alot of rain. Rodney Wood did his best with track prep. Hopefully is better there on thr 3rd. Great video. Cool to see our drivers in the back ground. Enjoy NZ 🇳🇿 🍻
Unlucky man, at least it wasn’t like Baypark two years ago where it was so bumpy and rutted after heats that you’d tip into the corner slowly and just flip. Seems like a couple of technical issues with the car ruined your night, hopefully your crew pulls it together and screws the panels down properly! Also, sorry that my cousin spun you under yellow…
Abrue is in Australia on the sprint car tour, you are in New Zealand nice thanks brother, Ventura had a quarter-mile of ocean go inland give or take feet-yesterday,,, or day before, so you missing it, thanks BigAl California
Haven't seen it that heavy for awhile! Aleast we got a meeting in! Cheers for the chat as well and hope you got to see that Superstock Heat 3/ Final! Good luck and Catch you again at Palmerston North tonight mate! 👍
Great you’re posting after each race meeting. Car looks like it’s fast enough. You’re moving forward right up until some squirrel spins you or the car breaks. Love the NZ Insta posts. Looks like a neat place.
Stocks and Super Stocks are when I always went to the bathroom or concessions when I lived down there. It's just glorified bumper cars. IMO. Would love to see you hop in a TQ while you're down there. Some of the best racing I've seen was them boys.
That mud was insane. Never enough tear offs for those conditions, but you did have a nice run going before the flapping vinyl showed up. Keep on pushing the limit. 🏁
Not sure if Ruapuna is on your schedule while you're down there, but if so I hope you have a better time down there. That was my hometown track for the little while I lived there and all my Kiwi family have raced there over the years.
Jesus Christ what's up with the fucking mud bugs? You could have put on 50 tear offs and it still wouldn't have been enough. It's called MUD PACKING for a reason.
They had a heap of rain, and mist all night. The track prep crew did everything their could get get one of their big international/domestic meetings on. The Sprintcar feature was washed out
My mom drove one of those cars! Came in through a promotion through Freeport stadium in Bellmore Long Island till the car my uncle built came through customs... finished Second and second in points stayed out in Australia 5 months
What a cool track! The stands look like they envelope the joint. The track surface? really like running on thick soup! It appeared something clobbered the front bodywork? Have Fun!
The person in charge of track prep must own stock in a tear off supplier. Keep your head up and have a great trip down under. Be sure to look for the Southern Cross.
Hows that corn field , the rain made it worse. Rodney who does the track prep is a sprint car driver (51). Hey go find a super stock driver and find out about the cars and engine combo . Also ask about Teams super stock racing
it was pissing down at midday, the fact they got the meeting in was a huge win for the track crew, and all the drivers that wheel packed all night, @@Sambom-gc8km
Sorry to see such a heavy track for you, when you get rain in NZ it's always proper! Watching from an equally wet Wales in the UK, looking forward to something a bit drier from Palmy
What's up with the massive grandstands there? Like how many people are they really expecting to watch a race? Maybe speedway bikes are super popular or something but that seems insane.
You gotta be packing three helmets to a track like that so you don't fret trying to get one helmet constantly cleaned and putting tear offs on. Doesn't give you time to do the other things you need to take care of.
presume you were at the north island super saloon, which had a terrible crowd, the 28th was much better and the best crowd I have seen there for a while, @@waynebennett7277
@@scottnz411 Bay of Plenty Champs.or whatever it was called. The last four meetings I had attended in Aus were all washouts, so I was stoked to see any features!
The first heat when your helmet was completely caked in mud in like 20 seconds, I couldn't help but laugh because I know how much you love that... son of a bitch that was muddy
I’m often asked if I ever get used to seeing this. After 27 years, I can say, how could anyone ever get used to this? Dirt track racers race paycheck to paycheck, and that’s not easy when tearoffs cost $1 apiece. How can you help? It’s easy. With one easy phone call and just 70¢ a day, you can give drivers like TMez peace of mind. Let them know someone cares, and doesn’t want them to have to worry about choosing between beer and jalapeño nachos or where their next pack of tearoffs will come from. For your small donation, you’ll get a monthly update on Tmez, and a picture of his helmet with fresh tearoffs. Don’t let this trend continue. Call today. 🎶 in the arms of an angel 🎶
so you got black flagged for the hood ? thats dumb as shit. i could see having to go to the rear for stopping and taking it off but for not having it on is just stupid.
Your car set-up didn't look good compared to Buddy and Pickens....sure the track wasn't the best due to the prior rain but everyones got it the same.....A+ for ability and giving it your best.
They lay cement around the bottom like you’d see separating grass, a curb 😮 Not a fan of their format or the hurry hurry. It’s an “event” not a fire alarm
baypark has been screwed by city for time constraints can only run between 6.30pm and 10pm so its either fast or you aint gunna get through the meeting unfortunatly

Legend. So awesome to have ya here. I hope you got to see the superstocks in action, yes full contact racing!
That last half of the first heat , it looked like a Tasmanian devil behind the wheel. Go get um! Cya john
Someone get the,Mez a ride in Perth Australia please
Four to twelve seconds for a tear off 😵💫 mud racing ! Parts flying off…down under ! 👍👍
Oh yeah!
That mud was insane. Never enough tear offs for those conditions, but you did have a nice run going before the flapping vinyl showed up. Keep on pushing the limit. 🏁
The bumper cars race in Britain too, along with Bangers. You'd love those!

Yea tmez luke nz here go hard .so wat do u think on nz so far
That heat race was absurd with all that mud
Hi TMez - Wishing you and the girls the very best for 2024 ! Safe travels mate.
What a cool track! The stands look like they envelope the joint. The track surface? really like running on thick soup! It appeared something clobbered the front bodywork? Have Fun!
Hey Tmez, if you are in Auckland and have time you MUST go and have a look at Gorden Mckaysacks speedway museum. Ask anyone they all know him.
Yeeeeeaaa TMEZ. Rip the lip. Them there are special mudballs fresh off track.
Great videos time to subscribe.
1st in the house! super juicy wow!
Muddy puddy track for sure.Keep diggin
Wow. Super super super heavy/muddy track. Been doing this a long while and haven’t quite seen anything like that for so long of time period. Crazy.
I hate mud so thick that you can't go a lap without using a tear-off. It takes a lot of the fun out of it.

Can’t wait to see the new car at chili bowl. I will be there Friday if you need any help!
T Mez it be your night tonight at Palmerston North!
I am sure I have never seen mud like that!
When is your next video of you at Palmerston North?
The two heat race format is good cause every heat race is exciting and it's racing as qualifying can be boring.

Good stuff T Mez
I used to hear they ran clockwise in New Zealand but I haven't seen that happen.
Street stocks run clockwise, everything else counter. I believe it is because they are road based and right hand drive.
@@Yobytsorf makes sense. Thank you
Hope you race in palmy always a good show nz definitely runs faster programs then the US
christ on sale! a track so heavy it breaks a hood panel, that's mental. got a bit of a fright when it started to bike in the B, way to save it.

At least you get to live the dream. Driving a race car for a living.
TMez in a super stock!!!!!!
How many tear offs? Yes
I went to Baypark a few weeks ago.
They run the tightest show I have ever attended.
18000 seats is crazy, wonder if they ever half fill it
if they get world of Outlaws back they would just like 2002 when they came last
they have a start curfew and an end curfew, they have to run a tight show
