I always loved how personal she was, always eager to go and talk to people in a friendly and genuine way. God bless her. She changed the world. Here, on the 9th of September, 2022, we remember our queen, and always will.

What an amazing woman, what a wonderful Queen we have had. It's such a strange feeling to miss someone you've never met, but I really have a pain in my heart at her passing. I hope people never stop learning from this role model, and beacon of strength, purity, wit and charm. Rest in Peace our lovely Queen.

This actually made my cry. How impressive is it to give a speech about a passing partner live on tv without breaking down. The pain she must have been feeling during that whole 9 minutes, but she kept her cool just to please us. Absolutely heartbreaking. I can’t even watch the first 60 seconds without tearing up. To have had someone in her life for that long and that constant, really does make me envious.
As an American, I value the great public figure she is and the strength and wisdom she has.

I lost my father a bit after the passing of Prince Philip. This Christmas has been particularly difficult. I am not the crying type but I did well up whilst listening to the Queen's speech. I’ve been watching the past few years myself. My dad died back in September, and Christmas was his favorite Holiday as well. I dreaded coming down the stairs this morning to presents and mama, but not my dad. It’s so strange… Her Majesty really nailed it this year.
As an American, she encapsulates a wonderful, firm Standing, loving, and strict woman, a devout, devoted leader, a woman of great faith. I cannot say enough good things about Her Majesty!

I have also lost a spouse 15 years ago, it always was troubling then and sometimes now I still fall apart and I was not married 70 years. Right now she is wearing being a leader of her nations. Queen Elizabeth II has the weight of her nations and the Commonwealth. You also have a group you do not wish on anybody, we are called widows. We all could take a lesson from such a great lady. She is tiny but a person who who will not waste time.

Watching this the day after the Queen died I realise we were so lucky to have lived during the reign of Elizabeth II. A chapter of our life has ended and another is beginning. Life goes on but memories will last forever and every time we think of the Queen we are going to feel pride, probably smile and remember all the positive values that she lived by. I'm very glad I listened to this queen speech this year. I had dreaded Christmas coming because I lost my husband in October. But she reminded me of something which made my day easier, my husband would make anybody laugh he would not quit until you did. To her majesty thank you I truly needed your speech sometimes in grief you forget certain things. May God bless you and keep you and thank you

It is sad to see some of the twinkle gone out of the queen's eyes. You can tell through the speech that she is still grieving painfully and very strongly and dutifully held back tears.

Well, it was a nice speech but Liz Windsor doesn't really "reign." She has nothing to do with Great Britain's government per se. She can't even vote.
@@LoanShoppingExpert The Queen is the head of state. In a Westminister style democracy, she is the Executive branch of government. No legislation is law until Her Majesty grants Royal assent. The Queen is the embodiment of the state.
Although no one would have expected anything else the quiet dignity with which her majesty delivered her annual speech to the nation was mesmerising, poignant & heartfelt.
Her enduring love & respect for her late husband , her "beloved Phillip" shone as brightly as the light's on the tree, her heartbreak was palpable & the speech was all the better for it.
I'm sure there will be those who will read more into it but for me it was simply our Queen sharing her grief & at the same time encouraging, supporting & thanking others.
I hope she & her family enjoy a happy Christmas, some much needed special time together and so many precious memories of Christmases gone by

The Queen's speech was heartwarming and projected a spirit of positivity in these troubled times. We always look forward to our sovereign's Christmas message every year.

What a wonderful Christmas message. You just can't help being moved every year when the Queen speaks at Christmas. Next year I pray we can all resume our gracious at Christmas without the worry of the past few years.

As an American, queen Elizabeth is not my leader but she is perhaps one the finest example of a female ruler ever known. I was so sorry for her when her beloved Philip died, even though he wasn’t king he was her rock. To be married for over seventy years means they managed to get through the ups and downs of life and keep the business going. God bless her and family.
no offence, Phillip would only have become King if he'd been the heir to the throne, we don't have King Consorts, we have Queen Consorts because centuries ago we never had female Monarchs, who are Queen regnants, the title system is quite complicated
Phillip was a distant relation who married the heir to the throne
and our media will still say our Monarchs rule and they don't anymore,
when the Monarchy was restored in the 17th century changes were made which has evolved and they only reign

All my life I admire Her Majesty, She is my ideal in everything, I respect and love Her immensely. My heart cried during Prince Philip`s funeral, I understood the Queen as a woman a woman. What a touching speech! God bless the Queen! Merry Christmas! With love from Russia.

I'm also spending my Christmas without the presence of a loved one for the first time. I hope the Royal Family takes Philip's absence well and that they at least feel comforted alongside us all. God bless the Queen 🇨🇦
