I really miss her on this earth... I met Prince Philip once as a child at a function in german my parents attended and because I had no idea who he was (I was maybe 6 at the time), I had a chat with him (in german). I told my mum, I talked to this nice old man and my mother almost died of embarresment when she found out, I talked to the Duke of Edinburgh... about our favorite cake....😂 he laughed it off but my family still makes fun of me for meeting one of the highest members of the british royal family and talking about cake...
You don’t truly appreciate someone until they’re gone. Her pandemic speech “we shall meet again” was an inspiration and gave me hope.

I remember her walking around the garden showing him the trees planted for each member of the family. Attenborough said “Imagine how big they’ll be in 50 years” she looked confused turned to him and said “Well I certainly didn’t plan on being here to find out, David. Are you?” Cracked me up.

I miss her already. I see these clips and just want to hug her, which would have been very inappropriate 😀, but she reminds me a bit of my great grandmother in appearance and I think that's why the urge to hug her is there. Sadly, I have long since lost all my grandmothers so none left to hug.

We here in America have heard that many people in Britain want to do away with the monarchy, especially the young ones. The monarchy is what gives Britain their specialty and continuity amongst all nations of the world. In other words, it's what makes Britain . . . Britain. Long live the King!
It's only a small minority who want to get rid of the monarchy. It still has strong support.
Queen Elizabeth was someone you could respect and admire. Hard to do that with the replacement, especially calling Charles wife a Queen.
Certainly never was about privilege with her. Simply duty and trying to make things better for others .
