Speaking of hacked things, in Mexico, cartoon network’s site got hacked many years ago. I remember I used to come back from school and entering the site to play some games and that particular day I saw adult content instead of the usual layout.
I believe they got lots of complaints because during the “news” segment on tv (on CN’s channel) they put a warning not to enter the website since it was “unavailable” and displayed “odd content”. They also advised the parents to monitor their kids while they use their computers.
Omg I remember this happened to me too but, in the US! I remembered I was watching an episode of Totally spies and on the layout was promoting cam girls! I clicked on it and it redirected me to the cam girl website. Let me know if anyone else experienced this.
I don't really know If this is real or not, like I don't really know if all the "Happy Tree Friends accidentally aired on Boomerang" but like any other things that hasn't been uncovered, we may never know.

I just wanna point out how many years it’s been since the Max headroom guy took over the TV broadcast and not a single bit of information has been revealed about him, I wonder if he watches back videos like these, enjoying the fact he’s gone completely dark and unknown to everyone. It’s a little creepy to think about, what are the chances of him taking over our TVs again nowadays?

I really wanted you to talk about the Wyoming Incident, a tv hijack were a lot of text and 3d images of people with creepy faces was shown. The disturbing thing about this incident was that people who watched it had a physical reaction to it. Things like headaches, nausea, vomiting and more happened to viewers while watching. It might also be a warning to you for this if you want to cover it up, because it might happen to you. Not pressuring tho, the video is still amazing! Keep it up!

The max headroom broadcast hijacking always freaked me out, it was the combination of the stiff and unnatural smile of the mask and the weird erratic movements that just scared me.
I used to love max hedrom commercials Nd his show. ThTs just how he was all glitchy. Not scary at all.

I watched that world series and remember that it pretty well. The guy with the baseball bat in the clip you showed is Kirk Gibson, and that clip was game 1 of the series. He wound up hitting a game winning home run that game.
As far as the "adult" interruption, it didn't happen. Not nationally, anyway. You would have only seen that if you lived in the Atlanta area.
The way TV worked back then, every city had its own station. So if you lived in Atlanta, the local Atlanta NBC station sends out the TV signal. If you lived in Chicago, the Chicago NBC station sends out the TV signal, etc. So the adult stuff was inserted (pun intended) into the broadcast at the local Atlanta TV station, so unless you lived in the Atlanta area, you didn't see it

A little known fact is actually that there was no "adult scene" interruption. People just got confused by all of the pornstaches that the players were sporting 💀
I remember the Handy Mandy incident. I was at my moms friends house bc I was sick. I was around seven when it happened. I remember she was in her backyard getting oranges and I was watching Handy Mandy until the sex scene popped up. I remember watching in absolute confusion until she came inside and yelled so loud and turned the tv off.

What I want to do, is to broadcast a message about roblox, in multiple languages, showing their unethical acts, and including photos of plane crashes, with a message displaying about how roblox will not stand until the end of their company occurs, including their unethical acts.
I was watching satellite tv in Hawaii during the 80’s as a kid, WGN, when the Max Headroom dude hi Jacked the airwaves. I watched it happen live. It was rather disturbing and I will absolutely never forget the creepy feeling that it caused me to feel. The spanking part in particular lol 😂
Apparently "Max" tried to break into as many as 10 other stations that night, with WTTW and WGN being the only two that were moderately successful.

My tv has gotten Hijacked once and it was so unsettling. My dad changed the channel to Hulu and put on the second to last episode of American Horror Stories. When my dad put on the episode the tv turned off then turned to a random recording of a window to a room that looked just like my living room. So someone might have been watching us…

Uncanny valley effect. The mask looks like a person, so your brain recognizes it as the face of a person. However, because of the artificial, stiff smile on the mask, your brain can’t fully register it as a real human and it makes you feel uncomfortable. It’s your brain deciding for you “oh damn that shits not normal fuck that”.

Same, and yet somehow I'm only just learning that Matt Frewer played the original Max Headroom, and my mind is blown. Taggert from Eureka will always be one of my favorite sci-fi TV characters 😂 (I know he's been in a million other things though)
There's one I learned about recently via NEXPO. I dunno if it counts as a hijacking as the station never came forward to say it was a hijacking, but it's very suspicious.
So in 2016, WKTV was interrupted by the emergency alert system, with a message about a hazardous materials warning in effect, followed by the phrase, "would you, could you, on a train?" That day, WKTV said it was an accidental broadcast of a test alert that wasnt meant to be used. An odd test message, but okay.
The following day however, there was a serious train accident in Hoboken, New Jersey at the train terminal. Given the strange Dr. Seuss quote, "would you, could you, on a train?" used in the alert the day prior, people believed the two incidents were connected. WKTV once again stated the message was just an accident, even passing blame into FEMA, who then said they didnt put out the alert, and to this day no one knows what really happened. We dont know the reason the train crashed, like no ones been indicted for it, and we dont know if the emergency alert was an accident or the work of a hijacking.

I don't know what it is, but tv hijacks are genuinely the most terrifying thing ever. I remember watching a cartoon when i was younger and it cut out to a black screen for a slight moment and a man started talking over it. I honestly didn't watch tv for about 2 weeks after, even though it was a small thing

The show was playing called "Mayday," about plane crashes, and presumably this show like all of them, plays audio of mayday calls from distressed flights, and also probably cockpit voice recordings from air tragedies. The audio sounds familiarly like some pilot voice recording I've heard in other plane crash videos, like as the pilots last words as the thing noses down. if there was a digital glitch in the tape played broadcast it could stick on the audio and loop it until it was caught and reset by the technician at the station.
The first episode I watched from them was about KLM Cityhopper Flight 433, and I think the next one was Southwest Flight that sucked one passenger out due to engine failure, probably 1420 or 1380

I'm Canadian and there a few MuchMusic hijacks I remember from the early 2010s that had a guy in a gas mask holding a sign that said "I did it again".
Anyone else ever see those? I can't find any info online about it, so I don't know if it was an ad or legit.
I would've been in my pre-teen or early teen years around that time but I vaguely remember seeing something of the sort, I really don't remember much though as it scared the life out of me and I shut it off right away but I would love to find more info on it, doesn't seem like anyone is talking about it.

I don't know if it was an actual hijacking or an ad/promo but it totally looked like a hijacking considering how the TV signal went all 'hijacky' and then it only lasted less than 5 seconds. Even our shortest ads online are 6 seconds.
But I'm glad that I wasn't the only one who saw it.
