In this video we continue our tour through Green Bay's historic places from about 1850 to 1924, explaining the history of the Green Bay as we go. We learn about Green Bay's role in the timber industry and paper industry, and how they affected the city's growth. Some of the historic sites include Green Bay's oldest churches, Astor Park historic district, the original library, the YMCA, the Hotel Northland, the Bellin Building, and the courthouse.
Love your style of videography, music, and commentary!
Awesome, thanks for watching!
Great video! Learned quite a bit. On a personal note, I have a set of great, great grandparents that were married in the Moravian church visible in the Heritage Hill Park footage on April 10, 1854. The church was originally located by Jackson square, a hay lot that was the fueling station of the day. They had emigrated from the Rudolstat area which is now Thüringia, Germany.
It has really changed.
Burnt or torched 😮
