Hello Peter! Lovely to see update of your garden, lots of colour and Blush Noissette is incredible. Garden and nature is always a good combination and lots to see. Your apple tree are fantastic, full of fruits, mine had just a few and some were eaten by the wasps. My crab apple is looking great, lots of tiny apples with beautiful colour. My garden is still struggling from relentless heat here in Germany. A lovely day to you!🌹
@@rosegardengems Hello Gemma and thanks for your nice comments. Yes, the Blush Noisette is incredible and is still flowering beautifully. I have just done another film today but I haven’t uploaded yet so you’ll see. The apple trees have done very well this year. I don’t spray them so I do get bugs. I’m glad to hear your garden is getting the attention it certainly deserves and we benefit from. Thanks, P.
The babies are adorable Peter. So fluffy. Since feeding the birds, I had a couple of massive crows arrive and over the months, they seem to have brought all their relatives! They are so noisy and thuggish and scare the smaller birds. I'm assuming one crow was a youngster as it kept opening its beak to be fed but the adults seemed to ignore it. All the other birds were good parents and it was "one mealworm for me and one for you." I normally love hearing the birds but the crows have started to wake me up in the morning. Your garden is looking great. Blush Noisette and Rural England seem to be blooming forever.
@@wendybartlett6717 Hi Wendy and thanks for your comments. Yes, the babies are adorable. I must say I wouldn’t want all those crows in my garden. I did however have a crow as a pet for a couple of years when I was young but had to give it away when it started to try to land on people walking down the street. Blush Noisette is brilliant ; I love it. I went to Peter Beales rose garden the other day when I was up in Norfolk and one of the climbing roses that was still doing well was Rural England which I‘ve got. Not a lot happening up there really I suppose because it’s been so dry not that I would be expecting much. I shall do another walk around soon. Keep enjoying your garden for the rest of the year. Cheers! P.
Hi Peter, the baby doves look so cute sat there waiting for Mum to come back. Blush Noisette looking spectacular still ! My tomatoes have finally started producing decent crops but been very slow this year, I was late potting them on and the rainy grey days haven't helped. Your dahlias are so pretty and colourful, the dahlia's haven't minded the rain here, I think they quite like it ! Shame about your fabulous fuchsia's I hope there is something you can do. I just checked on the British Fuchsia Society website and they have some advice on gall mites which you might already know about. Thank you for the close ups of the baby doves they are so lovely, they might have gone by now. I hope you're enjoying your garden, we've had rain here for the last two days but I think the forecast is for better weather so I'm hoping to get some work done outside, take care.
@@soulgirlktf Thanks for your comments Linda. I hear the doves calling to each other and I think they’re really enjoying the weather at the moment. ‘Yes ‘, I’ve done a bit of reading re. the Fuchsia Gall Mite but more to do. Glad to hear your toms are now giving you something. Blush Noisette is a brilliant rose. I went to Peter Beales Roses the other day when I was in Norfolk and the only climbing rose in their rose garden to catch my eye was Rural England which was flowering nicely. Walking past the Harlow Carr this morning was heavenly. Mmmmmm! Cheers! P.
I don't know why I like seeing collared doves but I do. You're doing better than us with apples, we only have one, slightly imperfect apple, but it is the first year for our small potted trees. That's a nice orange dahlia - I have realised that orange is one of my favourite colours in the garden, but I will have to be careful not to overdo that, We are just about staying self-sufficient with our tomatoes, but with about 3 dozen plants that is not particularly impressive!
Hi Nik and thanks for your reply. The doves we have are lovely and they take very little notice of us and seem to trust us. Yes, we do have a nice lot of apples and we process quite a few of them. Not everyone around here has apples this year. I should have thinned the apples out more but somehow didn't get around to it. Some of the apples do get creepy crawlies venturing down into the seed area of the apple. Whether that's Codling Moth or something else I don't know. I don't spray them for anything during the growing season but I do put some Fruit Tree Grease around the trunk and give the trees an Autumn Tree Wash when the leaves have gone. Orange is a bit like mustard; some like it and some hate it. Anything that wants to grow in my garden is welcome, maybe not weeds. I have orange Begonia Sutherlandii too. Our outdoor bush tomatoes are finishing but I still have tomatoes in the greenhouse, cordons are still doing well. Again, some being processed and some being given away and many being eaten. Cheers, P.
Hi nik yes I agree with gav your apples are doing well. Mine all rotted before they were ripe! I hope your well I’ve not been on my channel for what seems like ages but I see your still using the old camera? Hope you and Silvia are well and I hope you enjoy your holiday
@@Jay_Jay Hi Jay Jay and thanks for your comments. Sylv and I are fine and hope you are too. We were only away for two days so are back home. Yes, still using the old camera although I know I could use this phone but would only known how to do a non stop video - no editing or compiling yet. Something for the future. I guess you’ve been busy with four wheels etc. and you’ll be up and running on TH-cam again soon. I hope you and Donna are OK? Cheers! P.
