Anyways I was criticizing specific feminists who frequently push that argument while reserving my entire criticism of the movement itself. That's another debate entirely. I will admit to frustration with the current feminist movement as it is and that is the most likely reason for my interjecting my opinion on the matter. As far as I've observed there are several models of feminism and only one that I have consistent opposition to but I digress.. I must confess to having recently emerged from of an ocean of debate on the very same topic at the time this comment was posted and I was still a little salty. 😁 Unfortunately trying to debate cogently with people inside that group frequently yields more frustration than coherent and stimulating conversation, so my comment was made with a previous convo still roiling in my mind.

Right! Looks are not everything, but if the mom wants to play that game the daughter is more attractive,. The mother had been doing drugs since the girls were young and I know from watching my own mother when she was an addict, that drugs do damage a persons appearance, so by the time this " slept with a teen" incident happened the drugs would have already taken a tole on her looks, So i have no reason to believe that she looked any better when the incident happened than she looks on the show so.....I think the mom thought the daughter was competition.

How old is your friend? I think maybe you should think about reporting this to the authorities. If your friend is a minor, there’s a good chance that they’re being groomed and could experience trauma and a long list of emotional and psychological damage in the future because of it.

It's interesting as in the UK this wouldn't be iligal. When I was 16 I slept with a 26 year old man, at the time I didn't realise it was really wrong until I became an adult myself and realised I had been taken advantage of.
