Their music often addresses topics/problems that people deal with ALL the time. They let us know its normal and give us hope and motivation. Their lyrics are so good (usually they make me cry). One of my favorite things to explain to people who are new to lucy is the fandom. Fandom is called WalWal. Its Korean Onomatopoeia for a dog barking like woof woof/ ruff ruff. This makes sense because Lucy is named after a dog that lived near where they practiced. Fans also think that the members act a little bit like beagles or puppies personality-wise. So, it all ties together which I love. If you ever react to their song Unbelievable (which is video game themed), they have a little dog puppet called WalWal that appears in the beginning. I know other people have mentioned more about the members but seriously they are crazy talented. Wonsang, their bassist and producer, is pure genius. Yechan, the violinist and leader, can play any genre easily. Sangyeop, their vocalist and guitarist, has an incredible voice and tone. Then Gwangil, the drummer and vocalist, is our power maknae who's great at everything. Some recommendations to look out for: Flowering (debut), Snooze (personal favorite, gave me goosebumps), Boogie Man (newer, more rock-ish), Intro Paganini + knowhow (a live b-side song performance that is just overflowing with talent) Thank you again for reacting to them. (super long comment incoming 😅 hope you dont mind) Lucy music often revolves about life, dealing with adulting, nostalgia, and keeping that inner child. i cried watching the mv you know, even more so because i know wonsang (the bassist and the one who produced the song) transparantly often tells us he feels like this. a song about depression & impostor syndrome in an up beat melody? we stan 😂 anyway here's a brief intro for the group: yechan, the violinist, is the oldest, and he has been playing violin for around +23 years now. he was classicaly trained, and was part of an orchestra if i'm not mistaken, until he decided to pursue busking & band music instead after his military service. the vocalist, sangyeop, is also a busker. prior to lucy, he already has solo works and also work as a professional BGM producer for dramas & osts. he specialized in instrumental bgm & his bgm are gorgeous. he has produced for quite many notable drama, one of them is Vincenzo the main producer & bassist, wonsang, is the mastermind of most lucy discography. before lucy, he also already produced many songs for other idols such as wjsn, younha, monstax, and recently he produced 'Little Light' for doyoung NCT if you're familiar with the song. he's (and i'm not even exagerating) THE bassist in south korea. he's known for his 6 strings bass & very tight, VERY complex bass playing. literally, he's also worshiped in the industry as well. a literal genius. lastly, gwangil, the youngest, is actually a vocalist. but when the team formed, they have no drummer, so he volunteered. he is basically a one man band. he can do a sick guitar solo, amazing bass slaps, sings obviously, a crazy good drummer, keyboard, he's even good at composing & producing as well. he's the second producer of lucy music (this album has his song as well and its BEAUTIFUL) anyway, as you can see, most of them are already established musicians before lucy. so they have very high musicality in their music. lucy is known in the industry for having a very complex & difficult music to play. in the general public, they're known as the representative of kband scene (not mentioning idol bands) and a festival powerhouse, being a headliner for multiple huge music festivals for 2 years in a row now! oh yeah! the name LUCY actually came from a dog! there's this cute dobberman pup called Lucy in the studio where they practiced. ((and also, since lucy is a feminine name, they want to break prejudices))

I think you would have loved seeing them live. They’re a sweet and fun group who knows how to appreciate fans/staff and work up a crowd. All their songs have meaningful and relatable lyrics. It’ll leave you in a refreshed mood. If you love more punk and high energy songs, I’d highly recommend watching their concert version of “So What” and “The Knight who can’t Die and the Silk Cradle.”
