Notes/Suggestions: 1. Vote for between Area 1 & 2 with connections to both highway interchanges. 2. You are correct about what we meant by ferry's. The easy fix is: create a boat route up river to the edge of the map.(east of area 2 & 3) This will create a outside connection. (some terraforming and map tiles may need purchased and adjusted.) 3. Any thoughts on having a small cargo harbor below the dam then going out that way in the future? 4. Along the trams you could place your parks before zoning giving a place to visit and attracting future residents. 5. Lastly, Keep up the amazing work. Loving every episode, while studying your gameplan for ideas with my own city. So BIG thank you! 😊
Maybe way to the east at the edge of the map on either side of the river for the airport? You could also then spawn the ships from that edge of the map. Problems are 1. you'd have to buy the river tiles to connect the ship route (or just anarchy it in); 2. utilities would have to be separate (unless again, you anarchy them in or buy the tiles between); and 3. shipping routes between the edge of the map and your dam basin will likely conflict with some of your bridges. Pros are that you could then connect cargo shipping routes to that edge of the map as well and it would give you an opportunity to create another "city".
You can create an outside connection with sea lanes by dragging the sea lane to the border. This will then allow you to connect your harbor to an outside connection. Upon doing that you can utilize two harbors and send ships between them even if you do not connect that passenger route to the outside connection, effectively making the ships a ferry.
Plane station! I like it by the industrial (Area 3). She's a larger girl and that way the spot across the river can be something fancy later on. Maybe a major tourist area with a theme park or something? I hope you can drag that ferry line out the other way and create a new port by doing so. I know they are different than trains and expect you to do the work. We all know someone like that lol
You do NOT need to make a loop at the end of tram lines. Simply by placing one trams stop at the end of the line it can reverse, similar to how trains can reverse out from the platforms. You can also upgrade the ends of tram stops to a One way tram track with one stop as well. 👍 (The loops waste a bit of space imo)
Could you post in the community tab a map of transit just like you did with buses some time ago? (Just because the game's transit view isn't grat at all) Thanks!

My boots? Shaken
My wig? Snatched

My tongue? Popped

My vote is smack bang in the middle of area 1 + 2, giving it the space it should have with excellent highway connectivity:)
I vote for Area 1 and 2 with connections to both interchanges. That would lighten the load on each expressway that enters the city.
Area 1 or 3 works I feel, and maybe above the original city at top could be an option.
That’s 1 vote for areas 1, 2 and 3
I think area one would be a pretty good area bc it has a lot of clearance and you can kinda smooth out the 3 mounds around it.
Area 2 has my vote!
I think area 1 or 2 would be best
That’s 2 votes for areas 1 and 2 and 1 vote for area 3
Area 3 has my vote! ◡̈
area 3 would be perfect for the airport it would also justify spending to tunnel the train tracks under the airport
That brings us to 2 votes for areas 1, 2, and 3! Let’s see who breaks this tie
I think Area 2 would be perfect
That’s 1 vote for area 2!

Why do you need two loops in same place
Bus depot should be away from main city
Yeah, I agree. Going to need to move it soon
