Many years ago Weineg had a molder in the back of a box truck they took around to do sales Demo. We watched it run but owner didnt get one as it as you say very labor intensive. Still neat to see it run. All we made were fireplace mantles. Not sure how many I made but it was a lot.

That's pretty cool to see a mobile Weinig. We love ours, and it's going to help take our business to the next level.

For me this speed you used for time lapse is great might even try 5-10% faster but time lapse you used for this video works well. I suggest you film one board at normal speed to provide viewers with context. I personally like shorter lengths for flooring, more useable product eaiser install and better fit board to board. This batch came out very beautiful. I like/love the white oak 1/4 sawn however for me I'd just as soon use rift sawn for the end visual appearence. Customer is getting a heck of a batch it will look wonderful. Ray

I would really like to know how you fixed the 2 teeter totter boards that you were rocking in the beginning.

Those two boards were rejects. I didn't fix them but got rid of them.
      Thx for watching Bruce

Now I’m not a professional on cutting tongue and grove but I have installed some, your tongue and grove seemed a bit low on the board. I would have expected it to be more centered. Is there a reason why it’s so low?

On flooring, not wall boards, a low tounge gives more sanding before hitting the T&G

will the customer sand the floor after they install the wood ? When I made flooring I made the wood 1/16 thicker to give the customer room the so they make sure they don't have to sand to much.

@lesterg46sawwood yes the floor will get a light sanding after installation.

i helped remodel a old house with wood floor someone put carpet over it i was 16 yrs old i took it all up when the new owner figured out what the true floor was. hired a man that's what he did sand hard wood flooring and finish ever nail in the wood had to be hit with a nail punch . he had belt sanders round sanders when he was done a month lather the floor was finished looked like glass. that's how tom cruise sledded a cross the floor in his sock feet back in the day your son remembering that movie for get about it hell i cant remember it. take the old records off the shelf etc hard wood flooring is coming back .

are the blades in the weiding tungsten carbide, or high speed steel? maybe tungset on the molder sides, and steel on the top and bot knifes?
