I love that she always does concept albums. Control is about finally being able to take control of your life and becoming your own person, Rhythm Nation 1814 is about solving the problems of the world through music and dance, Janet is about being comfortable with your sexuality and the highs and lows of love and so on... She is such an intelligent creative artist, I love her so much😭
She reminds me so much of her brother but she can do it just as well as him ughhh
Janet’s classic albums put all the bops and dance hits first and the last few songs are slow burning toned down R&B. She is a legend when it comes to sequencing and pacing an album. The end is always slow and sexy.

Funny How Time Flies is such a good song, not my favorite on the album, but you can hear how it was inspired by Michael’s Lady in My Life... the begging at the end. “Don’t you ever leave” that part.. and she said her mom HATED the moaning at the ending at the end😂😭💀

Joseph, her father pushed her into her 1st 2 albums,and she wasn't really wanting to be under her father's control.Thr production,promotion,sucked as well.Janet,wanted to branch out on her own not shadowed by her brothers especially Mike,who was already doing his thing.She wanted her own style and not be known as the little sister following her brothers footsteps.She fired pops and left home and got busy with Jimmy and Terry,they produced this album and it blew up with hit after hit.I remember her sweeping awards and there on after it gets better.All her albums to me were just awesome.It:s so hard to select any single on her albums cause like you said you choose this and that throughout.Thid album for me I use to play over,over again and I enjoyed all of the songs.But today watching her concert and performing when I think of you,that voice is captivating.But she can turn up the vocals and as you go throughout her albums you'll see how strong her vocals are O love you and your reactions to the Queen,she is so incredibly talented.
