I fail to understand how you think that an individual giving "hints" that "they assume" is more than sufficient in their mind to indicate that they're not interested in someone is enough for the other person to stop attempting to reach further contact with them. This whole "take the hint" thing is completely ambiguous to begin with and various from person to person. Yes, rescheduling does happen and true enough after a certain number of rescheduling, go "take the hint" but honestly if the person being approached constantly like that was just being honest and upfront to begin with, the whole ordeal would be avoided.

***** Well if she clearly didn't want to go on a date, I don't know why she didn't tell him prior to the show and just said 'sorry, I've thought about it and I'm just not interested, good luck'. She clearly knew she didn't want to date him as she said so before the third date request, as she stated it beforehand and had obviously thought about it. It was a bit much to do it on live television, but people aren't mind readers and if you don't tell them (and no giving off signs don't count, actually saying something does), how are they going to be any wiser to the fact that she doesn't want to be dated?
I've heard that apparently she went on a date with him after which is all well and good, but it was still heartless to reject him like that on live TV in front of the audience and everyone watching, I think being the person who got rejected and thrown away on live TV is a lot more worse than the person who merely got asked on a date on live TV.

I may be in the minority here but guys who make public declarations really piss me off. He put her in an awkward spot and basically forced her to either be the "bitch" who says no to him on TV or lie and pretend she was interested. I am happy she said no because she doesn't need to be with a guy that manipulative.

Have you ever been in a situation when you see something embarrassing happen to someone and you feel embarrassed for them as if it happened to you? That's how I feel after watching that video. As a woman who has had to turn men down, let me just say they often don't put us in very nice situations. Sometimes they ask you out on like a "friend hang out" and then it turns into a date. And maybe you don't want things to get awkward so you just try to give them the gist that you're not interested without having to come out and say it. I personally hate having to reject people. It's unpleasant for everyone involved. I wish men could take a hint and save us all the trouble.

What's wrong with not being able to take rejection? The more you get rejected, the harder it is to take. Eventually you get driven insane and can't handle it anymore. It's not that big of a deal.
Inability to accept rejection is trying to enforce behaviour against consent. Fear of rejection meanwhile is an immature irrationality many of us have to overcome.
Rejections get far easier over time and with exposure. They only do not if your self-esteem is low, you're shortsighted and very subject to your emotions.
Not to get into a long disagreement but I really don't think the 200th rejection has the same impact as the first or second.
You're comparing different contexts. You expect to be rejected from interviews because everyone knows it is common. It's also a meritocratic system and the vast majority of us know there is always someone better than us.
Dating is typically face-to-face, with attraction having you invest a lot more emotionally into the outcome. For these reasons it's so much more personal. When you put in effort that isn't acknowledged, that effect is only amplified.
If you receive nothing but rejection then you are the one commonality, so the broad area to improve upon is yourself
Chris West My first few rejections were easy. My last few weren't. Part of the frustration of rejection is that after working on yourself for years and years, your still not good enough to date, so part of that anger is directed towards yourself. I've done everything from going out more, working on my personality to taking anabolic steroids all over the course of 8 years and nope, still not enough.
Assuming you're about 28-45, in-shape and not a recluse, that is odd, so I should think there will be one or two giveaway factors. I'm interested, message me if you want

Bojan MKD I feel bad for him as well, but you can't blame her for everything. She said no because she wasn't interested, and if she gave him a chance but ended up not liking him anyway she is arrogant for giving him false hope. I feel like, from your perspective, she just cannot win.

The centre of female sexuality is about feeling desired. If men didn't hit on females there would be a female outcry about how men aren't paying them any attention. Meanwhile, that's what most men live in every day - except their offers are rebuffed and they are called perverts. Without people 'hitting on' each other we'd have the death of the human race. But men are still expected to be the ones who put their balls on the line to offer and risk rejection.

You seem to have an extremely biased view on what each gender goes through (which is something that everybody has to some degree, how could you not?). You don't get hit on, so it feels bad, because you're taught that that means you're undesirable or a creep. So you think that all women would be angry just like you are if they weren't hit on. You think it would be AWESOME to be hit on all the time, right?
At least TRY to understand that it's not that black and white and not everybody wants to have people hanging off them trying to get with them and then thinking they're horrible people when they say no. Try to understand what it's like to be stalked. What it's like to go on a video game in chat mode and then have a million creepy messages (and they are creepy, I'd seen them) from guys trying to hit on you strictly because you're a girl. There are so many horror stories out there and I had no idea about them until I heard them from my girlfriend, then I started paying more attention and these stories are far more common than I ever could have thought of.
