I am 71 and I knew a guy that bought one of these new in the 60s. I had a 1968 Suzuki X6 Hustler that was a 250cc that of course would blow the Allstate away. I rode on the back of his once, two up it was struggling.
When I lived in Germany in the 50s a friend had a uch w a sidecar. Cars were not so common then but there many sidecar machines. I recall him taking his wife and daughter to Italy and back with it.n roblems. For the time it was a decent bike. Those days are sadly passed.
I have one in the garage. Not quite as nice as yours but runs well enough. I bought it in pieces. When I brought it home my wife said somebody found a sucker to clean out their garage of their junk 🙃.
@@automotivevillainy it sits idle most of the time but as long as you prime the carb and have a charged up battery it starts almost on the first kick 😀
Wow, that thing is in remarkable condition! Glad you got her.
Me too! I can't wait to put the slow miles on it!
The first bike I had my eyes on in the classifieds when I knew I needed a motorcycle. Thank you for sharing!
A lot of people I talk to had this as their first bike. They just kept getting handed down till forgotten. Thanks man!

It is the most Utilitarian motorcycle I've ever ridden. It kinda reminds me of the First VW beetle. Basic, cheap, reliable, people transport. 😐 lol.
