Hi there. Great to see the all the marvellous bikes. Behind the record breaking bikes is a picture of my father in law racing his Norton sidecar! He was British-sidecar champion 12 times and third in the world in 1960. Thanks for taking us around👍😀
Thank you for showing all these bikes. I will surely go pay this place a visit soon. I really enjoy your videos and that battery pack was awesome the other day.
And to think a lot of the building and collection was destroyed by a fire in 2003, they’ve done a fantastic job recovering since then. I was amazed when I went, I walked round a display hall thinking is that it? Then I found the door through to the next hall, then another and another and so on. What a huge fascinating collection, it’s amazing the number of different makes, some where only a few were made, and lots of obscure manufacturers that I’d never heard of. A good place to visit.
Wonderful, thank you both, so many memories growing up with a bike mad father and brother. Watching the racing on the Isle of Man was a great highlight. Take care.
@@BobEarnshawMoHo We tow a motorbike on a trailer behind our motorhome & we always get people coming over to talk about our setup , always a lot of interest , So i thought this vid would get a bit of interest !!!
Thanks, Bob & Jenny, for the very comprehensive tour of the museum. We always mean to visit, usually when we are in the area for the NEC, but have not yet found time.
That Pick at 3:39 is part of our history 😊 People may have heard of pick cars made in Stamford but they also made one motorbike my family ended up owning the Pick company when it was in ST Martins garage if i had been born a few years earlier i could have been a works test rider 😃😂 Stay Safe 😜👍
Hi Bob Thank you so much for taking the time to video this amazing m/cycle collection. It was certainly a walk down "memory lane" for me as I was able to recognise several of the bikes that I owned while living in the uk many years ago. And, also many thanks to Jenny for being so patient while Bob was filming.
I go to the NEC at least 4 times a year and I drive past the entrance everytime. And everytime I say I will go to the museum. I will definitely go this year. Thanks. Xx stay safe xx
Last time we stayed at summers wood , i walked to the museum, i have 1960 Francis Barnett, 250 a 1961 Greeves 25DB 250 and an 1960 Ariel Golden Arrow , i ride them all , as the old saying goes IF MONEY CAN,T BUY YOU HAPPINESS EXPLAIN MOTORBIKES AND BEER , great video as always
Nice to see the old Norton's - they briefly supplied the services with a rotary engined bike called the Interpol and I had the pleasure of riding one for a while . Really different being a Wankel engine, little or no engine retardation when the throttle was turned off. Enjoyed looking at the old machines, I have done a few tracks sessions on different bikes up the road at Donington, but we have to visit there. Helen used to ride a 600cc Yamaha so she would also enjoy it to i'm sure.
A few years ago when we had a trailer tent I had this idea of getting a caravan. When I told the dealer what car I had he said my Triumph Rocket would be better for towing a caravan. 🙂
Fantastic Motorcycle Museum, I've been a couple of times. Just find them crammed together, you would see more if there were less, if you see what i mean. But thanks for sharing 👍
Just a quick question Bob, have you ever done a comparison pro's and cons video between national trust and English heritage? I can't justify joining both at the moment but get confused about the visit costs once we've joined. Love to hear your thoughts. Another great video by the way, we've been with you from the start and your one of the main reasons we changed from a caravan to a motorhome. Cheers
Thanks, that's an idea for a video. We are members of both. Visits to the properties are free on both National Trust and English Heritage. Membership of English Heritage also gives you access to Historic Scotland (reduced rate first year), and Cadw (half price first year) in Wales. National Trust membership also gives you access to National Trust For Scotland and National Trust Northern Ireland. Plus, free parking at the properties.
Hi Bob. We've never used an aquaroll with external pump but considering doing do. Not sure what kind of pump we need or how it works (there's a 2 pin socket by the water inlet). Your advice would be valued.

Oh wow, that's brilliant!
well done Bob and Jenny a great comprehensive tour of the museum.
Thank you for this video. My husband thoroughly enjoyed it!! He will be visiting very soon 😀 thanks again 👍
Lovely taster makes me want to visit. My father had a Cyclemaster cycle in the 1950's. It was good to see an example in the museum.
It's worth a visit
Great place for any bike enthusiast to visit. Last went in 2016 and saw a bike that I watched racing in the late 70’s. Even managed to dig out photos.
Yes, I enjoyed it and I'm no bike enthusiast.

@@BobEarnshawMoHo have you ever been to gaydon? British motor museum?
Great video Bob & Jenny . I can see you with the rocket III behind the Motorhome and selling the UP , thanks for the show 👏😀
Think that rocket could pull our motorhome, never mind the up!

It must be difficult to fit that many in there.

@@BobEarnshawMoHo thanks, that makes it clear. Look forward to seeing the video if you do one. Thanks again.
From an era when we "made things"
That was a great video thanks. My first bike on road was a Puch 3 gear moped. I think I’m bit older than you two. What moped did you have ?
I had a Puch too, can't remember the model but it looked like a Motorbike.
@@BobEarnshawMoHo I bet it was the yellow one?
@@richardhewitt.easyvanlife.6957 that's the one. I crashed it into a mini and wrote it off. 😕
Brilliant mopeds. I was born March 1956. I then went onto Honda 175 wow the power it felt like fastest vehicle in the world after the Puch.
@@richardhewitt.easyvanlife.6957 My mum and Jenny wouldn't let me get a motorbike after that crash. 😕 You're the same age as us.

It's this one I bought, if it's got the 2 pin socket: External Water Pump
