Two awesome folks right there. Their songs i can relate to so much thanks for doing what yal do .the ability to bring a smile to someones face and maybe take some of people's sadness away even if its sometimes just a few minutes its worth more than gold to touch someones heart. Even mine . I thank you both!!
This song reminds me off old of old song's in Woodsboro Texas. Great Grandfather had an old bar called the Domino Club....where we heard old stories about after hours and that bar....
Damn. Why am I just running across this? Paul, I didn't know you were doing this. I've been a fan of yours since before you were almost famous, as I grew up in the delta and lived a lifetime in Fulton, a couple lifetimes ago. Shit, I'm getting old. Do me a favor. Stay almost famous. Seems over-rated from my outside perspective to go full out. Don't take my word for it though, as I'm ignorant as they come. Hard to shake at times. Need shaking all the same. I enjoy your interviewing style as you seem to make guests comfortable. Ray is a great song writer and with slick lyrical hooks. Hope your family and yourself is doing well. God Bless, JB
I resent the people who are so sure of the afterlife that they are willing to war and kill others who have different beliefs. It's irrelevant to me where I go after death. Whatever it is-- it is what it is and no matter what I choose to believe, it won't have any effect whatsoever on the truth. I worry more about what kind of world I'm leaving behind for those who are being born and coming into life as I grow old and go out of it. All of them are "our children" whether they are ours biologically or not. A better world to live in than what they had is what was left behind for us. Not necessarily talking about parents. Just those who lived before us. We should be focused on that, instead of being so worried over something we have no knowledge or control over.
I always thought the snake farm was a whore hose ..then one day I rolled in and asked the guy about it ..he said well when you ask for change a fifty we sent you to the railer out back... its an erectile house .. snake farm .. it does sound kinda..nasty..don't it?
I can relate to a lot to so many things both of these men play. I was on Padre Island and my cousin Robert Ramos and I where swinging swing for swing while an an old Irish man watched us. After going round for round Ramos beat me by a swing of the hammer. That old man was tough. Ramos is a tough fighter. When I first worked wjth my cousin he said you went off and learned your own. So I didn't l never lost. I learned how to hold my own. But Robert Ramos at 70 or 80 maybe even 90 is a hard hitter. He beat me by half a swing. But I still swing a hammer just as well. But if you run into a man with a black widow tattoo on his neck. Run... His kin swing just as hard as him.... It was nice going round for round and swing for swing. But fuck half a fucking swing.....
Loving her is like living in a thunder storm. weird how being from the same place puts you in the same situations. now I never went out to Tarlingua or New Mexico, my instument was an M16 and my hair was never long. Listening to this is like a tonic to my soul, all the people I've killed to keep this music free is my ticket to hell or maybe salvation.
I discovered rwh decades ago care of Gary P Nunn. With Paul it was at the Swine Soirée put on by KPIG about 15 years ago. These cats are way cool and talented!
I wish I could sit down and play a few of my songs with them 2 they are true icons I thought they didn't like each other I think Paul recorded one of Ray's songs wss without permission
Love both you guys, but you really needed to get Ray on a mic and mix that better. It would sound and come off so much better. Just trying to help... --gary
Lmao I saw the sign for the snake farm years ago and when listening to the song I always thought of a whore house... snake farm . Erectile house ..every now and then some kid gets bit ..at the ....snake farm ... just sounds nasty .......so any way I stopped in there and looked around ...got to talking to the counter person and told them ...you know I kind of thought the song made this out to be a whore house...the guy says we'll if you come in asking to change a fifty .....we send you out back to that lil trailer ......snake farm ....just sounds nasty....
