It's August 2021. Who's out there still listening the this awesome, funny, talented man? I am. I've been listening to him for years. Keep it up, Paul. The world needs you.
So five years later I discover one of the best entertainers ever! Deep, kind, joyful and sad.....he is truly wonderful......thank the universe for Paul Thorn!
The one & only Paul Thorn...my husband passed away suddenly in 2019 and I'm sure he misses Paul more than anyone else. Please keep bringing some soul to our superficial lives...
your comment opened my eyes about something and its truly profound! This music brings tears to my eyes, as does a lot of other music from my favorite singers/songwriters from Merle Haggard and Willie Nelson to Van Morrison to John Prine, JJ Cale and this guy here (and RWH!). The common theme is the authenticity, the opposite of superficiality. The songs represent the truth in the lives of real people, and that's what touches my heart so it helps me understand why I am drawn to these artists in particular. If you haven't listened to Lukas Nelson (his band is Promise of the Real POTR), he's one of Willie's youngest sons and HE IS my most recent musical obsession! Check out "Want Me Around" and "Set Me Down on a Cloud" for some authenticity!
At 30 min's he sings "That's Life". I think of my Mom and her blueberries and things she's said over the years and my eyes sweat every time. What a great song!
If ever I need a pick me up, I take a little drive and take my worn Paul Thorn CD's and end up smiling, sing'n and danc'n by the time I get back home. I bought tickets for both nights that he is going to be here in Green Lake, Wisco! I got them for my friends cause if you don't stay ahead of the game, you'll lose out. Last year I missed out on Sat. nite, but still went down and enjoyed talking with his fans outside. I hope to get a good picture of us this year and say hello.
Jeanne Pluim I was there Saturday. Paul met my wife and I walking in to the Heidel House as he was coming out with the tackle box he bought at the garage sale. He was very proud of that purchase. Great concert.
What a great performer and song writer. Writes songs about real life, very intertwining. Saw him in person and can't wait for him to come back to the Northeast!!
Paul Thorn is the man. I wish he would come through New Mexico so I could see him live. I'm gonna play "I'm a lucky man" at Church this Sunday and tell everyone to buy his songs on iTunes.
Saw you Paul last year in Green Lake at the Thrasher Opera House and can't wait to bring my friends this year....and I am get'n my CD signed by a great poet and singer who loves his family. I know all your work - you are a great man in this life. Thankyou for sharing your gifts.
SPennell Yeah- I noticed a couple dates in Georgia in 2018, God willing, I’d like to make one of his concerts! Bought time, Haven’t been to a concert since 1990.
I have to say that Paul Thron is one of the best guitar players in these days and he has some amazing songs out there I would really like to meet up with him some day eneyway keep up the great songs and thst guiter playing thanks Howard the hammer Hammons..

It's now December 18th 2022. I've been a fan of this man for a few years. Love the twang from the spine of the bible belt. I play also and haven't discovered his chords Progression. I need that up close time to watch his finga's. Love to watch that videos. Maybe he'll be near South Jersey They sometimes don't let you film. I'll be there with a notebook and pencil watching his finga's. The best video for me is Paul Thorne and Tommy Emanual. Where was I Was the song? Fantastic story writing. Check it out and Subscribe ✌️
OUTSTANDING! Whether on stage solo or with the PTB he never fails to entertain. The stories alone are worth a ticket price . . . the music is boquite a bonus!
Wonderful! This is the best way (IMHO) to see/hear Paul - just him and his guitar. And this is such a well-done video - kudos to hippiejacks. I have been fortunate to see Paul a few times in Berkeley but was so disappointed when he did a show with his band - they mostly drowned him out and I actually left in the middle of his show.
I love seeing Paul solo, but disagree with your comment on the band. Paul has one of the tightest bands on the road today & with Billy Maddox on the board, the only thing that could go wrong is a room with bad acoustics.
Hey brother hope this finds you well and doing great Man I could set and listen to you sing and play your g😮all day but eneyway just thought I would th😢that out there to you keep up the great work and take care love you and yours Marry Christmas to you and yours Howard Hammons I play and sing myself but I wish I was as good as you my friend
Nice job bud, lately your music has been an inspiration to keep writing, and playing. Your songs with just a guitar, electric or acoustic is straight awesomeness. It would be incredible to have a tour schedule posted on your site. My girlfriend and I would definitely check out the show when your around our way. God bless.
he has been at this most of his life he has had the same band for 20 years he was a pro boxer and fought for the middleweight championship of the world against roberto duran at one point he is the real deal and i agree nice to see a real man with heart... hot

I love listening to Paul thorn when I'm having a chill sesh. There is not a single song that he sings that I don't like.
This man is a true poet and musician. He performs from the heart. Its like having a friend come over and play and sing with you about what's real.
The more I listen to paul and his music, the more I am convinced, he is one of the BEST!!!
I'd put him right up there with Todd Snider, Steve Forbert, and John Craigie.
Let's not forget Mr John Prine! But I do agree, he is definitely part of the elite.
No question and he makes it personal... what a personality
@@Nothingmuch1039 he definitely will appreciate being put up there with John Prine
He does it for me and mine

"Earline" what a sweet tribute to his mama. Reminds me of my grandmother

What great song lyrics. But the best perhaps is the deeply moving minor chord and fingerpicking guitar playing - it drills right into your soul.
