I just love someone who doesn't wear brown lipstick and makes a real honest review ! ........... Big thanks from Quebec !
@lousekoya1803 thanks. I try to be as honest as I can. I appreciate it.
Man, thank you!
You saved me money. The only thing on youtube praises these SNS grills. Probably paid for advertising.
Good and honest TH-camr! Thanks!
Glad I could help. Thanks for watching
Mr Element. The SnS I got from Walmart was $349. On the Weber or Amazon $349 will get you a Weber Performer wit a drop down side table and a four wheel cart. A bigger and more solid ash catcher and a ton of after market add ons. The 22" Only Fire rotisserie I have on the Weber doesn't fit the SnS. Too small. I rotisserie a lot. SnS wants $199 for theirs, my Only Fire stainless on Amazon $105. If you maintain the Weber, keep it clean With a truly deep clean every year or so, and keep it covered it'll last you 20-30 years.
Man I'm glad you made this video. I was thinking about buying another Weber and came across the SNS and thought it was the perfect set up. Like Weber should make. After seeing this, I'm staying with Weber. Thank you.
I go Weber kettle. But get sns inserts coal baskets there amazing
@@ScottysBackYardBBQ yeah I have the SNS easy spin grate and like it.
@@TheCandBExperience yes the easy spin grate is awesome.
Thanks for the video. I've been compairing the Weber and SNS grills for the past few weeks. I was very close to ordering the SNS until I saw your video. It looks like I'd better stay with the Weber...
the sns kettle cooks great, love the air ports. but the quality of the kettle coming out of the factory is not so good. get a weber but buy the sns inserts great stuff.
I love it, Honesty & truth works for me brother..
Yeppers. Thanks tom
I had this Weber and it got damaged in a tornado. Got this SNS to replace it and the EXACT reasons pointed out here are what made me regret it. Thinking of selling it and going back to weber...
not a bad kettle. if they go to factory and tighten up the quality control people. it cooks great.
Scotty You are the man! It’s all about that Werner kettle baby!😂
Quality baby lo l
@@tommypasket2752 thanks I appreciate it.
Great detailed review of both. Weber is the way to go!
I think so. Thanks again .
People need to understand these are the best comparisons when the person is not paid or given the product to review. The only way to top this comparison is to cook on them equally six months and see how they both hold up. I’m partial to Weber as well. If you like a side table the Weber Performer with the huge side table is my favorite practical kettle.
thanks sarge. i do have a weber performer also. i have 5 cooks lined up for the sns. brisket. pork butt. ribs, steak, ans tri tip. looking forward to using it..
Thanks for the honest review.
thanks for watching. i always try to be honest
I appreciate your review and here are my comments. FYI, Ive had the SNS Kettle for about 3 years. I also have a Weber grill.
The "made in China" trope indicating sub quality products is tired. The phone and equipment you are using to record the video were probably made in China.
Rivets vs nuts, bolts & washers; I'd rather have the later.
Running paint. I would send the grill back to SNS. The finish on mine was perfect.
Port holes. This is one of the reason that I chose the SnS over the comparable Weber. They work great and are very useful.
Gap between the bottom of the kettle and ash sweeps, I could see that as an issue. But cook in it first and see if this causes any issues.
Assembly time. Yeah it was a pain to assemble, but I only had to do it once. Took me about an hour.
SNS should stay out of the grill making business. Yeah, that's bs IMO. The SNS kettle is a great grill . It works well, and is of great quality. It is also configured to work optimally with the Slow n sear.
It's a great kettle to cook on. Go watch my other videos on it. Maybe I should of sent it back. But iam sure digging how it cooks. Thanks for taking the time to watch this video. I appreciate it.
@@ScottysBackYardBBQ So maybe SNS should stay in the kettle business huh😉
@@hedontevenhavehislicenseli2058 yes. But they need to make sure kettles are in good quality before shipping out to customers..
Great video!! I love a Weber Kettle!!
thanks larry. i too love the weber kettle
Awesome stuff Scotty ! Tell it like it is . Sure doesn't look well built, honesty is always the way to go. Also i tried to email you about contest and no luck. Cheers brother 🍻
Did not get an email. Scottgeiger1982@yahoo.com
I’ve got one. I get your complaints about the nuts. But all the materials are superior to the Weber. Porcelain enameled charcoal grate, stainless steel everywhere that Weber uses aluminum, 304 Stainless cooking grate is 100x better than the chrome plated grates on the Weber, that grate is designed to be loose by the way, it spins whereas the Webers grate gets caught up on the tabs. And the thermometer may be hard to read, but it’s located in the right spot, so it’s not quite as useless as the Webers
Weber legs are thicker metal. Bowl is thicker. Nut over all the sns cooks amazing.
I liked your comparison and would be pissed if I had paint like that as well. I have the older grey version of the SnS and it didn't have those imperfections. By the way, the only thing that I have to keep tightening up on a regular basis is the thermometer, everything else is still nice and tight. I wonder if when they went to the new version in black, if they cut back on quality. After 3 years, it still looks like new and I don't cover it through the Chicago winters. Like I said, nice review.
thanks troy. sns not even close to weber standers. i be using the sns in 2 weeks.
i almost dropped my beer when you said you got that for 40 bucks still in the box at a yard sale!!!! THE HELL were they thinking??? hahahah
Great deal
@@ScottysBackYardBBQ I want to go to yard sales with you.
@paulh6517 I hit up as many as I can.
Good review Scotty👍
Thanks
Thanks for that honest review that was very informative. I have to watch this. I probably should’ve went with the Webber. It’s still a good upgrade from the Walmart Grill.
The sns is a great grill to cook on. I really love that lower vent. It was just the poir paint job. And cheaper material. But it dies cook great.
Great video
Thanks, I appreciate it
Personally you got a buy on the SnS. Mine was $349. $349 gets you a Weber Performer with drop down side table and four wheels. The ash bucket on the SnS is smaller and the fixed tabs are thin and cheap. I bent one trying to get the ash pan off and on. I do like the spin grate and the smoke hole. I do like the lid thermo placement but as you pointed out it's hard to read. Even with the smoke hole I was only able to dial the temp down to 275. On my Weber I was able to dial in to 225-250. I will state that SnS makes a great grill basket set. Heavy stainless steel and much bigger than the Weber. Those and the SnS spin grate are well worth the money and fit nicely in the Weber. $ for $ Igo with the performer. More heavy duty. Longer lasting. I have an 18" WSM over 20 years old and still in excellent condition.
Thanks for watching. The sns kettle sure cooks great thou
I paid $329 for my standard Weber Performer (the one with the folding table). It is rock solid ! For $70 I added a Flame Tech Smoke and Sizzle instead of the more expensive SNS stuff. Weber Forever!
weber makes quilty stuff for sure.
Thanks for the review, I'll stick with Weber.
sns has its place, for sure. hard to beat a weber.
So... ...Tell us what you REALLY think. - lol
Great and honest review Scotty - it's pretty hard to compete with the Weber standard. - Cheers!
Yep. Hard to beat a Weber
Weber hands down. 💯💪🏾
@@RigFit Weber is amazing
Wow. I almost pulled the trigger on a sns. I like the grate and that thermometer arre on same side on sns..I may rethink it. Ty
sns cooks amazing. i just think the price is high. and the factory making it needs a better quality control person lol
Wow some sold you a 330.00 Webb for that price?!!! Wow you won the lottery
sns not a bad kettle. but its no weber for sure
💯
thanks for stopping by.
Are you saying you now prefer the SNS over the Weber?
Having a hard time deciding between the SNS or a Weber Master Tough / Performer.
I buy the Weber. Then buy the sns insert
I am a Weber man, but the thermostat placement is all wrong. If you are correctly using two cooking zones the thermostat basically becomes worthless. SNS has a much better setup with theirs, and I wish someone on the product team at Weber would make the adjustment.
@caseypence7201 webers are not an offset. The smoke doesn't go up and out. The smoke goes all around the dome shape lid before it exits out the vent. Why web never did it.
Not a head to head matchup the weber you have is the premiun weber that retails for 439.00
Pretty close. Sns kettle is an amazing kettle. Just a little over priced. And the quality isn't there. But it's a fun kettle to cook on. The factory needs to stop letting bad paint jobs out.
SCORE on the Weber!!! Thanks for the review. I have the Weber 22" Performer and I love it. I have wondered about the SNS kettle, how it compares. Glad my Weber is so quality! So thankful to see that we still produce quality in the USA!
@pcfriese4570 Thanks for watching this video. Sns cooks amazing. Just their quality control stinks.
Im a weber guy myself
me too
You are such a jerk! LOL, just messin. You do mention all the flaws, but you missed one. The lid on the SnS kettle is not as tall and you cannot do a beer can chicken in the sns like the weber. I never released my video on my side by side SnS with my Copper weber but I should redo it. I hate the original weber height, the SnS is taller but they both have the new born giraff wobble. My stickers are still on my SnS legs and its been over 2 years. I love SnS, and I love Weber. They both turn out great BBQ. Flaws they both have. Daisy wheel and lid with handle Weber wins, I prefer the gauge location on SnS but gauge on Weber looks and fits better. Color options Weber wins, 3 legs vs 4 neither win both wobble. Side table SnS for sure, but the Weber in a cart looks amazing and what I want to acquire soon. Ash sweep I actually give to SnS due to the amount I have used both, I have 2 Webers and ash sweeps bent up in less than 2 years and my SnS is still just like new. 100% truth, get a Weber 22in with a SnS basket and you will be happy, toss in the drip n griddle for easy clean up and that is my HONEST opinion. Nice review Scotty!
Thanks, Rob, lol. Got some sns assesaries coming soon.
weber is made in china too mate lmao
no only the plastic parts are. i took a tour of weber factory. watched them stamping out the kettle bowls and lids, lol lmao
Hahaha this guy must of never used a pop rivet in his life That vent would be so tight you couldn't turn it.And if it took you 2hrs to put it together i would throw my tools away and go to the home depot work shop on saturday mornings.
2 hours. Not bad. Thanks for watching
When you gonna break in that weber Scotty. I'm sure you can cook a good butt on that cheapo with your skills.
got a few sns videos lined up first. ten pop the cherry on that awesome weber.
Why would anyone pay that much for a Weber knock off?
Price is higher for sure. But after cooking on it. It's a seewt kettle. That little air port on the bottom is awesome on windy days. They should lower the cost.
Because it is a better grill
it is awesome. i totally agree after using it. @@TheHestor
I just won’t buy a clone knockoff. It leaves a bad taste in my mouth for anything made by SNS.
I used to feel the same wY. Tell I started cooking on it.
Приветсвую мужик, все посмотрел но остались сомнения...., что в итоге бы ты выбрал sns или weber? Я из России
