Hmm...good. Also good was a little talk on a channel called SociologyReloaded. Also about Modernism and Postmodernism but from a more socio-economic point of view. But, that was good. Mod and Pomo are twin overlapping reactions to the ongoing project of modernity playing out, and both will be around until modernity shifts into something else.

Enjoyed the second half, but a pretty awkward speaker...

The often usual academic blather. Show us examples of works of art, poetry, that exemplifies what you wish to say about Modernism , now and then. This is what I so disliked about college.

He is addressing you directly at 18:44 : "Absolute loathing of academicism".
You really have to hunt this kind of thing down, it''s completely optional, as is college. The attacks on modernism and now postmodernism are funny - because you live in this world, however you (or this guy) wants to define it.
We live in a postmodern world whether anyone likes it or not, and very few people understand the basic premises that define our era. So this content is good, compared to say "Keeping up with the Kardashians" - which is a completely postmodern form of entertainment.
