2 critical points she made: 1. Being 'too good' at your job can hinder your promotability 2. If you're not qualified for the position, you're not qualified to train someone that's more qualified than you
I had this happen decades ago at a job I worked at followed by them wanting me to train the employee on the position I was already doing. Luckily, I had a friend that offered me a job where he worked that evening after talking to him about my situation. I don't know who trained the new employee But It wasn't me.
That is exactly the arguement to make. If this person has more experience than I do, I am not qualified to train them in the job I was doing that they have been now hired to do as a replacement for me. End of story
Thanks for filling the position, but we've decided to go with Bob's cousin's son, Jeff. He has zero experience, so we will solely rely on you to train him.
So the company advertised, interviewed and selected someone for the position she had been performing for the past nine months, without telling her or her finding out. Way to motivate your employees.
My buddy just went through this exact same thing! He had been working at a hospital since he was a teenager. Now he's in his 40's. He's been helping with the management for almost a year now since our manager got promoted to director. The B wouldn't even grant him the interview for the position even though everyone requested he get the position. So he quit. These corporations think we are so easily replaced. I quit 2 months ago. 4 people quit right after me. Him leaving is going to crash the department--AND I'M HERE FOR IT WITH BELLS ON 😅😂
The way she casually goes "oh no didn't you get the email? we decided to go in another direction!" shows such a lack of respect. I'm at an age where if my workplace starts to show any signs of toxicity, I'm leaving. I live in a very big city and there's always something available and I'm not going to spend my life working for a company that is toxic. When I was younger I would tolerate so much crap because I was scared to lose a job but losing a toxic job is the best thing that could ever happen to you. Don't be afraid to take the leap and start looking for work before you quit.
I saw that happen at a place I worked at years ago. The worker got pissed and quit on the spot. I was then told to train the new person. Fortunately, I had found a better job and was going to give him my two week notice that afternoon. So surprise, surprise I gave him my two week notice right there in front of everyone. I handed him my resignation. He was pissed.
When you take the acting role, you don't do it for expectations of getting the promotion, you do it so you can get that promo at another company giving zero days notice
veronica should sit down and figure out why nobody likes her, so far her company, her manager, her fellow employee's and random people on the street hate her.. maybe she should look inside herself.

I experienced the same thing. My response was the same as Veronica except I didn’t leaving the job my manager did.

She got more experience, but you want me to train her. Thats too funny 😂😂
I am in love with your videos

Another chapter in the _war on talent._

I love this show who is the genius behind it you are so smart
Ibwant to know too! They need to get the credit!
That is a slap in the face to ask an employee to train their replacement when they wanted the job and was doing the job. Disrespectful and gross!!

Bless you for giving credit to the original creator of the skit. Too many TH-camrs haven’t been doing that.
Audacity is at an all time high...🥴
Corrupted corporations, shame that's all us young people have for work prospects nowadays days

Why does her headset keep switching sides?
Different situations with different companies, different equipment
Now you want me to train her, not "them."
There have been a couple of similar cartoons with this conversation. I agree with Veronica. I've been put in similar positions
Just say no....
Mental hub is stealing your shorts
Thank you! Hope YT will give him/her violations

Anything true wont be popular, anything popular wont be true
If a bunch of rando's want to dislike me for taking good care of myself then be my guest and dislike me.
