- A pokemon trainer comes across a wild Michael Jackson and faces him in battle. See how it turns out! I made this entirely with GIF animation.

R.I.P Michael Jackson
I realize Jackson has died since I've made this video, and I respected him greatly as a musician. That's the entire reason I made this animation-to honor his awesome skills in a fun pokemon battle. Although you may find the ending in poor taste, I do not actually believe it happened, but it's part of pop culture now and subject to satire.
DISCLAIMER: This is not a hack, it's a video. I made this using photoshop and animating it frame by frame, to make a series of .gifs, which I put together with music in Windows Movie Maker. Do not comment asking me how to find or catch Michael Jackson in your own game. It cannot be done.

When I first watched this I thought molest was just beating someone up.
7 years later edit: okay I remember that as a kid I didn't think it was just beating someone up. I knew it was something 'weirder'. The sound effects made me imagine MJ was putting his hands all over the trainer and kissing him or something. Like roughing him up. I didn't exactly know about the allegations at the time but I must've heard something about MJ, as I wasn't hugely surprised by this video.

I second that question. One of my assignments for my arts class this semester is related to animation.
+Alpha Rim It's all gif animation that I've done in Photoshop. If you look up some tutorials on frame animations, it's quite easy. (if you're already proficient in Photoshop, at least)
You just set up a series of frames in the animation window and make each sprite or image that needs to be moved/transformed as its own layer. Then from one frame to the next, you either move the sprite incrementally from its starting spot to its end spot, or replace it with another frame in the animation's cycle. (like when Michael does a dance move, these are all frames taken from his animations within the game). Then when you play the frames back in sequence, the sprite appears to be moving.
Photoshop also has some neat tricks to help make the process quicker and the timing better, like frame tweens and keyframes, so you don't have to do it all by hand, but back when I made this I barely knew any of that. Hopefully those terms give you a good starting place of concepts to look up tutorials on.
Photoshop is definitely not the easiest tool for animating, since it requires you to do a lot of the transformative work yourself, but that means it gives you more control over what you're drawing. Something like Flash might be better for animating, but for me, it presented a learning curve since I was already very familiar with Photoshop. Gimp is also a good free PS alternative that might also offer frame animations; I can't say I've ever used it for that though.
