    I used grapeseed oil on mine, same as cast iron, where the paint blistered off. No rust. I recommend it.

    I looked at the oaklahoma Joe but opted for the char-grilled grand champ. I added a exhaust stack extension, tuning plates, and I lined the firebox with fire brick. I really enjoy cooking on my.

      @@killintime7408 been q’n on ceramics and pellet smokers for 35 years. I’m retired now and ready to learn how to run a stick burner.

    Where did you get the clamps to lock down your lid. Mine leaks smoke too.

      Purchased them on Amazon, but they are from Oklahoma Joe. I have just recently taken the gasket off my door and I'm just using the clamps and it works fine.
