I smiled all the way through that dude! Love the look, the sound, the feel...just everything. I could tell how much you enjoyed that and I feel like that every time I get on it. A special motorcycle. And thanks brother for the shout out-love you too man x
Thank you Sir for a fantastic review, I've watched this a hundred times & also The Crumble's Vid on the same bike so I had to go & grab one same color same year & I love it & wouldn't part with it for the world, Thank you Mr Crumble & thank you Cal Moto for your effort RIP Sir.
nice vid man. went to the dealership today and bought the speed triple r. what a great bike this is. its how you say: no fancy electronics crap. the real deal.
Describes how I feel every time I get on my 2005 Spriple, love it, love the noise they make. What it lacks in power it makes up for in instant torque. Good stuff, take it easy bud!
Still my favorite vid from you Cal and I finally did it. My own red ST3 (2017 s RED) steed. And yes, a certain part of me is now thicker, longer, and slightly more beautiful. All thanks to you Mr. Moto and your intercontinental friend, the Crumble.
+SUB. DELINQUENT Dude, nice find on the Clifton's cafeteria vid. I can't wait to check it out next time I'm down to L.A. I like your hooligan / So Cal tours shtick. Keep up the good work!
+Cal Moto Well, now that you have swung the proverbial door wide open... if you could do a review on the FZ-09, and specifically why you personally still prefer the Speed Triple, because we all know that your soul is triple ensconced, I would be eternally grateful :)
+Motophonic That probably won't happen. The FZ09 is under suspended and under braked. It is appropriately priced and has a great motor, but I'm biased toward the Triumph. One, I sell & ride Triumphs; two, a friend was seriously injured on an FZ09 due to weak stock suspension. He should have known; but, just sayin'.
+Cal Moto I have been hearing the same reports re: suspension and your insight here puts a real-world spin on things that is simply hard to ignore. If I have to start wrenching on the bike day 1 (i like to ride a bit harder at times) it deflates my enthusiasm significantly for the FZ-09. Thanks for the candid response, greatly appreciate that and for the effort you put into vids like this one, gracias.
So, if you ride to work every day, (rain, hail or shine) would you choose the speedy or the s1000r??? I'm on two minds, the safety features on the Beemer are appealing during shitty weather, but the simplicity and hooligan factor of the speedy are also appealing This is the biggest decision in my life right now, and that makes me happy hahaha
The weather in California is so fair I can choose with my heart; but, the BMW makes a certain amount of sense. You might ask The Crumble as the only aide he uses is a mallet to cave in the fuel tank for his giant testicles.
Yes no problem will do in the next wk,, have just attached a GoPro hero 4 to my chin piece of my helmet and plan to improve my TH-cam channel ,, in picture audio and quality ,,so when I post the video will let you no thanks Shane uk
A lot of people say this bike is harder to maneouver than the Street Triple and that this bike isn't the best for daily city commuting... What do you think? If I can find a good used speed triple, should I go for it over a Street Triple?
archinuk417 The Street definitely changes direction easier; that said, the Speed is just as good for everyday riding, and the power is awesome. You need to ride both bikes and choose. Good luck.
+Angus Norton Thank you! The standard suspension is fully adjustable Showa that is excellent. I'm a hack rider and the Ohlins are wasted on me. I am very happy with my choice of the Standard SP3.
1997TL1000 There's no debate that the Super Duke is the superior motorcycle and I love that bike. That said, the Speed Triple is still my favorite. I'm a triple fiend and just feel comfortable on it.
Hey Cal Moto, What do you think I should be paying for a New 2013 Triumph Speed Triple R? I'm thinking about selling my 2011 CBR 600RR and getting the Speed Triple R. Thank you
First of all, I like the way you're thinking! There are a few new 2013 Rs out there, and the '13 is definitely the bike to buy. I'm pretty sure I could buy one for $12.5k US if I walked into a dealership with cash. If you're going to finance, you lose some power. Still, you'll be able get it for $13.3k, which is a great deal. If you can find a low miles used bike that was traded in, you'll be able to pick that up for high 9s. Don't wait too much longer, the buying season is about to begin. Good luck:)
How does the S3 handle the tight twisty roads? I'm looking at new bikes and having a hard time trying to decide between a S3 or a Street Triple R. I test rode both, and, unfortunately, both felt grate, but I'm coming off a Suzuki Gladius (my first bike) so anything feels better than my cramped little cockpit. I'm 6'2", and, while I felt like both bikes fit me, I think I had a little more room on the S3. I enjoy tearing up the back roads, but want something that is comfortable. If anyone has any insight on either bike, I would really appreciate your input. Also, in my area I can currently get a new 2013 S3 cheaper than a new 2014/15 STR.
Doggbiscuit The ST3 is certainly a more nimble, but I like the power of the ST3. It's a little more work to turn the bigger bike in the twisties, but it's my bike of choice.
Cal Moto Thanks. Is the tougher handling of the S3 due to the weight of the bike or is it the design? I think my Suzuki is only 20lbs lighter then the Speed Triple, but I regularly ride my bike up Hwy 29 from Calistoga to Middletown with no problems, although, I don't really have any other bike to compare mine to.
Doggbiscuit Part of it is the weight, but a lot of it is due to the increased reciprocating mass of the much larger engine. I've never ridden the Gladius, but it's quite a bit heavier than an SV650. I suspect you'll be happy with a Speed Triple, but if you're comfortable on a Street Triple, it's probably the better choice for you. That said, there are great deals available on Speed Triples.
Cal Moto When I crashed my bike I never got around to getting another one, I will now that was awesome . PS when u think u should take that turn do it or else lol 🤕🤒✌️.
Mine is red and also has the brembos at front and mine is an 11 plate ,,the crumble no longer has a triumph ,,,and I plan to make a vid on my channel , showing the triumph factory ,, I only live 4 miles from it cheers Shane uk
It's really nice video, but I can't understand what are honourable mentions for the life of me. Not an English native speaker. Could you name them in comments, please?
Kodreanu23 Thank you. As an American, I'm barely an English speaker, and my diction leaves a lot to be desired...I appreciate your patience! The two other gentlemen you are seeking are "Shadetree Surgeon" and "Samurai H". Enjoy the talent.
If I had this bike, I would never need to masturbate again. There's a 2007 Triumph Speed Triple in excellent condition with 31,500 miles in my area. What is a price that I should offer for a smoking deal?
I'd work hard to get it for $3.5k; but, I think it's still a good deal in the low 4's. Especially if it has good tires and the values are in spec. Check the service records. Good luck!
I smiled all the way through that dude! Love the look, the sound, the feel...just everything. I could tell how much you enjoyed that and I feel like that every time I get on it. A special motorcycle. And thanks brother for the shout out-love you too man x
Hey....you're the Man. Unfortunately, you're also the first motovlogger I ever watched which means I'm constantly disappointed:)
No buttons and No music, excellent!! Thanks for the video.
Thanks for the review. I just got myself a leftover 2012 with 6 miles in it for $8k, in red no less. Loving it so far, 500 miles in the first week.
Loved his videos, was sad to hear of his passing. RIP CalMoto
nice vid man. went to the dealership today and bought the speed triple r. what a great bike this is. its how you say: no fancy electronics crap. the real deal.
+Fintan Steiger Nice!....congrats.
Describes how I feel every time I get on my 2005 Spriple, love it, love the noise they make. What it lacks in power it makes up for in instant torque. Good stuff, take it easy bud!
Good to meet you...thanks for the sub:)
No worries bud, just watching you on the twisties with the R1 and Speedtriple, looks fun, definitely more suited to the 675 over the 1050.
Gazzatron
I sure that 2013 Venom Yellow SP3:(
Got my red S3 on order, hope to see it this month!
Still my favorite vid from you Cal and I finally did it. My own red ST3 (2017 s RED) steed. And yes, a certain part of me is now thicker, longer, and slightly more beautiful. All thanks to you Mr. Moto and your intercontinental friend, the Crumble.
Welcome the beautiful phallus club.....congrats!!!!
They are great bikes, ran one just like that for about 18 months and loved it. I made one or two vids showing the bike on my channel.
I like the red!
+SUB. DELINQUENT Dude, nice find on the Clifton's cafeteria vid. I can't wait to check it out next time I'm down to L.A. I like your hooligan / So Cal tours shtick. Keep up the good work!
Likely my favorite review on this bike, nicely done sir!
+Motophonic I'm here to help;)

+Motophonic With so many new 2013 & 2014 Triumph Triples out there, you can get a great deal and not have to buy a lesser machine.
Very nice , I love this bike !! Thank's for this video ;-)
You know what I'm talking about:)
So, if you ride to work every day, (rain, hail or shine) would you choose the speedy or the s1000r???

Hard to beat the sound of a triple!
I love riding through livermore
Miss you man x
I have 6500 miles on mine and love it!! I put Arrows on and they sound awesome.
Good review I really like your stuff.
Thanks Man, I appreciate that:)
It´s quite possible that this will be my next bike. Which tires does the standard Speed Triple wears? Thanx!
Yes no problem will do in the next wk,, have just attached a GoPro hero 4 to my chin piece of my helmet and plan to improve my TH-cam channel ,, in picture audio and quality ,,so when I post the video will let you no thanks Shane uk

great video! i'm thinking about special edition 94 modeL. Hows the suspension on the non R version?
+Angus Norton Thank you! The standard suspension is fully adjustable Showa that is excellent. I'm a hack rider and the Ohlins are wasted on me. I am very happy with my choice of the Standard SP3.
congrats! i just put a deposit on a new 94! Pick her up on the weekend :-)
+Angus Norton Prepare to be happy!
What's the difference with wind resistance like between the Daytona and the Street Triple?
The Daytona is better as long as you're in an aggressive posture.
Question which would you rather have this or the Super Duke 1290R?
1997TL1000 There's no debate that the Super Duke is the superior motorcycle and I love that bike. That said, the Speed Triple is still my favorite. I'm a triple fiend and just feel comfortable on it.
1997TL1000 I haven't ridden the Speed Triple, but I rode the Street Tripe and the Duke 1290R. I like the Street Triple a lot. I hate the Duke 1290R.
+Cal Moto have to agree, rode the 1290 and it was definitely fast but my speedy is so much more fun to ride!
what in gods name is the crumble?
It's an alternate universe you need to visit.
yeah maybe! I looked it up or perhaps I should say HIM!
Is there a gear indicator on it?
No, Your ears, eyes and wrist are the gear indicator.
I know; I just suck is all;)
fastest color !!
it seems like the gears are really short, when you're cruising the rpms are very high. it this just an impression or it's really like that?
The gearing is awesome. The broad power and linear delivery is awesome.
Do you film with a gopro and how do you get good voice audio?
Yes, I use a Hero 3 Silver mounted on the chin guard with a cheap stereo remote mic covered with foam and the tip if a latex glove:)
Cal Moto Hey thanks for replying so quick. That sounds like my old setup but I had the Hero2. I enjoy watching your videos, quick and to the point.
archinuk417
Thank you...I appreciate the compliment.

It's not slow! It's a Roadster! It's fast. Of course it's not as fast as 1290 or a 1000 Supersport!
Admit it! Triumph's are torque monsters
Got that right. My Tiger 955i pulls hard all the way from 2k up to 9500rpm! Asian sporters don't really come alive until 4-5k.
Will Rides On Triumphs are pricey my friend, but they're always brilliant. One of good examples of British engineering.
try out the z750 !
Who is the Samurai motovlogger? Crumble is good. I like Baron Von Grumble too. Jolly good!
+Paul Bruk Samurai H:)
Cal Moto When I crashed my bike I never got around to getting another one, I will now that was awesome . PS when u think u should take that turn do it or else lol 🤕🤒✌️.
Do you do hard break in?
Absolutely.
Who is samurai 18?
Vacre7 Samurai H is motovlogger and videographer extraordinaire.
Mine is red and also has the brembos at front and mine is an 11 plate ,,the crumble no longer has a triumph ,,,and I plan to make a vid on my channel , showing the triumph factory ,, I only live 4 miles from it cheers Shane uk
Awesome! Let me know when you post it. Cheers.
Looks a heap better with mods and bar end mirrors which 2012 has
I have a 2015 in red that matches this :).
That bike is you And yours now, Lol !
Darrell N See you at the Junction:)
It's really nice video, but I can't understand what are honourable mentions for the life of me. Not an English native speaker. Could you name them in comments, please?

Cal Moto Thanks! And maybe we get to see you pull out some wheelies on some of these hooligan bikes, a? :) Just kidding, do what ever pleases you :)
You nearly went round a bend
god damn! the speedy looks shArp in red.
I just love it!
