I've always thought this song was overlooked, and watching the absolute joy and passion performing this piece, you can tell they loved every second of it. Simon could do that falsetto at any time at the moment in his career.
I used to hate this fucking band in my high school days in the 80s (i was more into the "darker" post punk Echo and the Bunnymen/Joy Division scene)..but in retrospect and watching clips like this remind me of what a proficient musical outfit they were (a "boy band" that could actually play their instruments well/write excellent pop songs and as this clip demonstrates, were fucking awesome live). After all these years i finally must admit i was wrong. Simon Le Bon and co...you were (are) a GREAT pop band.

Nile Rodgers, man. As a kid I was so attracted to DD sound, and not until recently I learned that is was the funky sound Rodgers brought. Same thing with David Bowie’s dance-pop period. Cheers.
I think this performance shows the real essence of Duran.... pure class and the art of being on a stage capturing the audience with a great song, great musicians and a stunning voice..... and, more, a real show!!!!

If I was in Steve Ferone's shoes, I would be smiling like that too. Nobody gives the Duran' s credit for being badass. Could you imagine them and Level 42 on the same bill? I would be in the hospital in traction after that. You just can't not move when you hear and feel grooves like this.
I agree, this is a top notch line up! Very few pop/rock bands could play live @ this level! Mark King is a more technical player than our JT but his bass lines are less memorable. I have learned bass as an auto-didact playing such song. I own the same Kubicki Ex-Factor that he is using during that time...

I was there ( Sorry fellow☺) this is July 1987 -Barcelona. Lead guitar Warren Cucurulo and on drums - (ex Average White band) - and one of my preferred drummers, Steve Ferrone. This was 70% Funk and 30% R&B. An incredible line up.. awesome band indeed.
They've just gotten better live over the decades. But this was always a tour-de-force performance. The brass section are sublime and the bands (Particularly John Taylor's Bass) are superb. Was lucky enough to see this live in 87 in Dublin.
LOVE LOVE LOVE Duran Duran! The voice of the lead singer is smooth and just cool. The first part of the video where it was more "bluesy" wasn't my fav, but after that, it just took off. The whole group just has a laid-back smooth presentation, and I couldn't take my eyes off the one with the dark hair and constant smile. Made me feel good just to watch and listen! GREAT JOB, GUYS. 😃

First off underrated doesn't even apply...the amount of musicianship on that stage..these guys could play sing anything...this is live sounds just like the record...what a groove.....what a time to be alive....John Taylor one of.the best bass players of all time...tasty.guitar...not sure if this is Andy or.not...but he was amazing too simon..singing.....Rhodes on the keys...just epic...
