My bearded dragon is laying eggs and I'm not sure to leave the basking light along with ceramic heater on. They are unfertal and so far she's only had 2 since Thursday as I've seen. She's still glass surfing but I made her a laying bin.

I love how relatable the content is made to help it be understood from a more personable aspect. I actually have a Butterfly Agama, which is stated to be similar to that of a beardie. I have definitely noticed her reactions to a flip switch light, and I always try to allow the room to lighten up, prior to her internal light.
I also have her ready for bed around a certain time, same as my 8 yr. old. I tell her goodnight and turn off her daylight. I even comment to her the the sun is coming up to start the day or going down.
Sometimes, I'm not able to turn it off right at the same time every night; but once the room starts getting darker, she naturally puts herself to bed for the night. She's very intelligent, and this is just one way it is demonstrated. Thank you for your insight.

Your videos have been so informative since we got our dragon a few months ago. Could you do a video on what to expect as a dragon matures? My female is 6-8 months old (the vet’s guess based on size), and I’m wondering about color changes on her beard after her last shed. Some people say they can develop new colors as they get older but I can’t find much information on what’s normal and what’s not.

There is no other bearded dragon breeder that does more to help their customers have a great experience than you guys do. But I bet you all get a ton of freeloading questions from people that purchased a dragon from a big box store and then found out that they can’t get their questions answered from their staff.

Please, PLEASE PULEEZE tell me that there are NOT people that are so entitled and/or ignorant enough to think that it is even remotely decent human behavior to purchase a dragon from a big box pet store and then turn around and expect a small family business to take time out of their day to provide customer service to their COMPETITORS customers?
I can't even imagine that there are people out their that are that inconsiderate.

i understand where you're coming from but for real? They have 40.8k subscribers, highly unlikely that they have enough dragons for all of us. And just by us liking the video and leaving comments, he still gets money from us through youtube. Its not like people post on his website or send him emails with questions, if you have a social media presence then you gotta expect people to ask question.

Thank you all for your comments. Actually though, we do get hundreds of emails and messages about animal care, and we have always tried to help people whenever we can. However, we can't possibly answer each and every question individually as we simply do not have the time. That is the reason for this channel and these videos is so that we could help the maximum number of people possible with their animal care questions. In fact, most are our videos are inspired by our most frequently asked questions. If we get 100 people asking the same question, it is easier to do a video on it, than the time it would take for us to answer all 100 of them individually.
Hope this helps people to understand what are goal is with this channel.
      Thanks for watching.

I’m working on an automated dimmer system that will turn on and off the lights with a sunrise and sunset setting to eliminate the problem of lights just switching on. It’s also going to have sensors for uvb and thermal displayed on a screen. I’m really not sure why the industry is so behind on using tech that we currently have access to.

@@imnotworthyenough7469 you may have to gut-load some feeder insects. One thing I've heard, but haven't applied (funds have been tight as of late), is put the greens out in the morning, and the bugs later in the afternoon. However, my Beardie goes nuts for clovers, so I've started growing them so he'll always have a healthy supply through the winter.

Judge it by your Beardie's growth...you want him to be able to move around freely & comfortably. A 40 gallon is "minimum" for a full grown, but I say 75 & up is best for a 15+ inch beardie.

I have never used that stuff. It has always been my opinion that it is not needed plain water has always done the trick for me on snakes and lizards. If they have trouble shedding it is a sign that their environment is too dry. I would rather correct the environment.

Ok so I have kind of an unusual question. Our beardie is of course spoiled and apparently has a bit of separation anxiety (kind of a poor phrase to use but the best way I can explain it) from me (her "daddy") so I have found that if I put a shirt in her home with her so she has my sent with her at night and when I am @ work she seems to do so much better. What are your thoughts and opinions on this?? I do make sure that I do not sweat or have any kind of chemical smells on them it is my T-shirts when I am just around and about during the day.
