I agree 100% with Honda - "Own a Harley Own the best. Ride a Mile, Walk the rest" says it all. Finding a used Fury for $5k is like winning the lottery.
I've always had a honda since I was 13. Only had 2 buddies with a harley. Always frustrating planning a ride together and one or the other not making it because of having to work on them. Looking back, neither would want to go on on a far trip! Most I ever had to do on my bikes was normal service, tires and occasional carb clean. My fuel injected fury is awesome! Always ready to go!
Great video! I'm at the early views on the fury. I've owned a 78 goldwing 73 honda 450 (1st) bike then after 26 years got back in the saddle with a brand new fatboy had it 10 yrs and when I retired got a goldwing and sold my Harley wife was never comfortable on fatboy. Now recently looking at the fury as second bike first concerned if it fits my 6'4 frame and it does by sitting on one in used dealer. Looking into riding one looking at a used one too. Thanks for the presentation!
Thank you. I've been riding a lot. I just can't get good audio. I did unpack a new camera last night with a mic ... I'm determined to get it right for some moto vlogs.. thanks for the comment.
Honda did us a favor by not adding another gear. Because going 90+ mph on a cruiser with the braking distance these have, that probably isn't wise. I like the reliability and low maintenance of Honda drivetrains. I went to buy a used Fury but got a new Shadow for the same price. It was my first street bike and the Fury seemed too big for a first bike. Maybe later I'll try the Fury, but I'm good with my choice. Enjoy your Fury 👊
Thank you. The shadow is a nice reliable bike. 👌 I consider the fury to be really easy to ride. Passengers say it's comfortable too.. thanks for the comment👍
cool video. i currently ride a Honda Rebel 500. i have crappy credit, but i really want a Fury. i heard a real good quote the other day, own a Harley, work on it 3 days ride it for 2, repeat.
I also own a fury 2010 that has over 50k hard miles , if you complain about power then get a tune ! Honda severely detunes the bikes for reliability but alot more meat is on the bone for that bike , The new ones this year have 6th gear but sometimes the reason they call it a cruiser is bc you out of the torque band on the hw . They aren’t meant for high speed power under 40 in the torque you will roast sport bikes 0-60 if you know how to shift . People complain about power because you have something that makes incredible torque . That’s it that’s the trade off…. I got on other bikes then the fury and felt twitchy at hw speeds. Even 200hp Harley vtwin gets out of the torque band around 80-90 so there you go if you want hw power get something with hp and lots of rpm … it’s a trade off I ride bikes for the backroads ..
This Bike looks too nice. I like it too much, I'm from México, but here in Honda dealers trhere aren't. Want to buy one fury....some day.. Now I have a Shadow spirit 2007 and Yamaha striker
For sure the fury just needs a little more power and a 6spd. Then it would truly be a great bike. I started on a Honda shadow 750 and it was a good bike to learn on. Then I upgraded to a Harley and it’s awesome and even ridding more miles on the HD now, it’s been every bit as reliable as the Honda. I love my Harley, but I’m looking at picking up another Honda as a second bike.
As someone that worked at a dealer. Most of the time more service happens than just oil change for a service to cost 500. And oils not cheap. 5-6 quarts at 15-20 bucks a pop. People just get mad cause they think a service is only oil change. Inspections adjustments of belts etc. just saying. Fury does have less oil and no belt.
@@OldBroBikeLife thinkin hard about it. gonna get one next spring.. i would get one now but i want a new one and not yellow. hope they make a black one for 2024.
@@OldBroBikeLife you still planning on putting up that video on 10 things you hate about the fury? eagerly waiting to see what someone hates about possibly the best bike ever made. considering its been exactly the same and unchanged for over a decade other than color.
I’ve seen 300lb dudes on fury’s and they have enough power, your on a chopper most backyard built stuff is 600cc ish having 1300 with a mono shock and a drive shaft is pure luxury for a chopper Well if you want more power 3 easy mods that will give you much more Intake filter Straight pipes (I like Vance and Hines but I hate those swoops) or shorttie horn Ecu program tune, those bikes redline at 8ish and they have it set lower and controlled and the bike in stock form can make much more power and rev faster without a speed govern. Enjoy the bike and be careful the bike is hard to drive and really for its architecture doesn’t need more power I can safely gap sport bikes a low speeds and that’s all a vtwin can ask for Also there is kits for the vts to get a wider rear tire on there makes the bike so badass
@@OldBroBikeLife Electric Fuel Control. Pipes and intake replacement is all you need for stage 1 mods, which is all you can reasonably do. I am happy with my bikes power and I’m coming from 20 years on a CBR1100
@OldBroBikeLife yea they are short for sure and fun. Sometimes I have trouble shifting from 1st to 2nd it seems like it gets stuck in neutral I have to shift up a few times, maybe because I wear stealtoes I'm pushing it straight up, instead of up and back. I'm a new rider I got a 2023 fury for my first bike so I don't know if it's the bike or me. What say you?
@@canaryveteran I just got my 2019 fury 2 years ago brand new and I asked my dealer the same thing, I actually thought it was an issue with the transmission and they told me that basically that’s an issue with all the 1300cc Honda bikes, supposedly. I found that if you just shift second gear a little harder and make sure to be in that upper rpm range seems to be better, hope this helps.

If the Fury had mid mount foot controls I be riding one right now. I'm short, but enjoy riding.
I'm sure you can get relocation brackets. I think I saw that in one of the Facebook fury groups.

How does this bike do at 85 mph? How about longer rides, like road trips, 6+ hours?
What kind of passenger pegs do you have?

Greart points 👍
Does the bigger rear end make the handling worse or better?
Can you run an oversized tire to raise the gear ratio.
I don't know about that, are you trying to ride wheelies? Lol
Very hard on this bike. 😆
@@OldBroBikeLife Everyone always says they need a 6th gear. Raising the gear ratio across the board is one way to solve that.

I can go well over 100 with EFC and new intake. Looks like you have aftermarket pipes already

Yeah the Furry needs a 6spd bad. She revs high after 65 mph.
He's shifting to early. These have long gears. You aint gotta shift out of 4th till 70ish. Mine holds 80 very well and it's stock
