I thought so at first as well, except the rear sight gives it away as not a shotgun! Closer inspection does reveal a browning. 22. My browning .338 would have been my first choice. In Southern speak..."Bless your heart" actually means...."YOU'RE SO DUMB". My grandma used to say that all the time. Usually when we got hurt doing kid stuff. Lol.
It means a lot of thing. That's only one of them. The finer distinctions of "bless your heart" is a true Southern art.

@@howtubeable Same here. The old "bless your heart" just meant bless your heart. It wasn't an insult. Southern women were just friendly. The same with calling everyone "Honey Child."
Sooo…several people have attempted to explain “bless your heart”, and I feel as if there’s an element to it that has been missed, so here goes:
“Bless your heart” is used (at least where I’m from) as a term of pity or compassion…depending on the tone of voice/context, it can either be endearing or insulting.
I've read/heard a few different versions of the night before Christmas and so far I cant recall one that didn't make me smile or laugh.
Thank God that we sometimes get winter in Texas. I have fond memories of being front of the fireplace on a cold winter day of 40 degrees or below.

Lol this is great. Its true. Except that I live in Kentucky. Yes it's a southern state but since we are the most northern of the southern states so we get both types of weather. I'd LOVE to live down south further where it's never cold! I hate winters, being cold and snow 😭😭

The most hilarious thing about this is the implied idea that Southerners are so friendly or polite they'd let some strange guy in a cammo outfit and a fake beard in to use their commode. My grandfather always said commode. And playin possum.

The " TAG APPLIED FOR " had rolling. Here in Alabama you see this alot, they cleaned out the bank to make the down payment, and have nothing left to buy the tag.
In my small town in Alaska they used to have a guy we called Moose that would dress up as Santa clause and use the fire truck to deliver a gift to us kids. He would bring them on Christmas eve weeks after you did the whole sat on Santa’s lap thing.

Why did y'all mention mosquitos ... Just thinking of the battle with mosquitos and fire ants, this upcoming summer, has me anxious..
You keep your grass short and the tires empty, no skeeters. And fire ants? Easy...grits. Go down to the Winn-Dixie and get a 2 pound bag. Every mound that pops up, you sprinkle a nice circle about 1/4 inch thick. Gotta be on a dry day and a couple thereafter, because the moisture causes them to swell. Which is the whole point! The ants will explode in their nests when they carry them inside. Boom! No more ants.

Grits are better. They get the queen, and no muss no fuss. Biodegradable too! Besides, you get a twofer! Breakfast with the leftovers.
Oh no, sugar! You gotta get the old fashioned, stir the pot kind. The type that takes at least 15 minutes to cook. Those suckers will kill anything....dry. See, it takes the moisture out of the ant. That's the reason that you sprinkle on a real dry day. And you gotta use the cheap old fashioned kind, cause they're so dry. You do know that grits will absorb up to 20 times their weight in moisture, right? Now you getting the picture?
