No matter how hard I try, I haven’t been able to lay this path in 60 seconds!
Ha ha, it took us little than 60 seconds too don't worry
@@MrandMrsDIY so false advertisement?
@@mygommie Its a part of our 60 second DIY edited tips to inspire people to what the whole How to video
Look’s good neatly done 👍👍👍
Thanks Thomas!
Wanted to see how it's done after watching a program on t.v about cowboy builders whose patio was a shambles, this one in ur video looks lovely and so does the colour.
Thanks Maureen! Very kind!
Hi, I have to do few repairs on my existing resin floor. Got stone and adhesive from Amazon but what is that sand called and from where I can get that? Thanks
You can get all materials from www.Sureset.co.uk
Great video what's it like to walk on in the winter months when frosty
So far so good, but I'll keep you posted
In my experience slippery as hell
Why left to right mate is that for right handers. Walhatbif right in the right hand corner ??
Any preference is fine as long as you evenly spread the resin mix out and get it nice and flat! Cheers
Hi. Can this be added straight on top of old but clean tarmac?
Yes is most certainly can do, as long as the water drains away and doesn't puddle
Can't find the long video Craig, could you post the link please. Also, what does the cost work out per m if you were laying it yourself? Thanks,
Hi Sean, the full video will be out shortly! Will post it on here when we upload it for you! Depends on size of the area, and stones you are using
@@MrandMrsDIYso when you’re going to upload the long installation video? Also is it ok to use gravel for resin subase?
When
Could this be applied to an existing concrete sidewalk?
Yes! Just have to make sure it has been prepped correctly!
Is this something that is realistic to achieve DIY, looks like you need some specialised mixing drum, can these be hired? Also plenty of people are needed it looks. Will look out for the long video being released. The finish looks great.
Yeah so this mixer is called a Baron Mixer, you can hire them out, but we are currently filming a DIY version that can go in between patio slabs! So be on the lookout for that!
@@MrandMrsDIY Thanks for the reply - I will keep an eye out for the video you mentioned 👍
What type resin you use? And where can I buy it? Thx ☺️ 🙏
Its was Supersets own product, check out there website www.surteset.co.uk
How durable is the resin bound on the all year long hot tropical weather? We usually have between 33-40 degree celcius during the day.
The guys go and install the same stuff over in Dubai and the UAE so it can handle a lot of heat!
A lot of cold? We have 40 below winters. @@MrandMrsDIY
Won’t last to long laying straight onto type1! Got be laid on concrete or tarmac!
Hi, yes it has a 21 year guarantee, the manufacturers were there on filming day and said that it was perfect to work on when it is just a foot path
@@MrandMrsDIY iam sure they did. I lay resin daily and never been told by any manufacturer that it can be layed on type1! The type 1 will settle and sink causing the resin the crack over time. I give it 5 years tops and it be cracked all over! Resin has got be laid on porous tarmac or concrete
You do require concrete or tarmac if its a Driveway with cars using it, this is a footpath os its perfectly fine to do it the way we diid
@@MrandMrsDIY ok it’s a footpath but over time with movement it will crack. Especially when the type1 settles. I’ve laid loads of resin driveways/footpaths and even on tarmac/concrete it cracks. Should always use a geotex liner aswell under the type1 this helps but still your get movement.
@@Chickenben897 Thanks for your advise
Hi is this the springtime resin?
Sorry what's springtime resin ?
@@MrandMrsDIY the name of the resin mix/ shade shown in this video
cant i buy this stuff in Canada in the region east coast
Hi mate, yes you can get Resin from www.sureset.co.uk. Cheers
Where can I find the full video ?
Its being edited as we speak, hopefully we can air it by the end of the week
It looks like is done by professionals rather than mr and Mrs diy….
I did it with them!
Where can you actually hire one of these mixers from like rocking horse shit
Local builders merchants!
