  • Brentwood Bowl, a once-popular bowling alley in Springfield Township, was forced to close due to the coronavirus pandemic. A strike would be pretty hard to come by at many local bowling alleys these days. Not because of lack of skill, but lack of players. The 48 lane bowling center has become an icon in Springfield Township, first opening its doors in 1960. This conventional bowling alley, which has 48 lanes and a good beer/food menu, is an excellent place to bowl a few games along with family and friends.
Brentwood Bowl’s variety of leagues, including a senior league, mixed couples league, adult+child league, family league, competitive league, and more, is perhaps its most outstanding feature.
This bowling alley is likely to have a great league for you, regardless of your skill level. Brentwood Bowl has been owned and managed by the Provisor family since 1984. Most recently, the facility was equipped with 48 new synthetic lanes from Brunswick, 248 LED light fixtures, and new carpeting. As part of the ongoing efforts to enhance the customer experience, last spring Carol took over the full-service restaurant connected to Brentwood Bowl and re-named it AJ’s Bar & Restaurant. Carol made significant upgrades and renovations to the restaurant and kept the prices on the menu quite affordable.

In the 2000's this was the place, about 30+ of my friends and I, would run the pool hall/room and jukebox. It's a shame it'll be torn down soon. Lots of good memories here.

I’m not sure they will tear this building down as a local brewery purchased the building and I believe plan to renovate the space.

I live in Ashland, KY and Blue Ribbon Lanes had been abandoned for years. Even before the pandemic. It's since been demolished and the site is about to be a bank. Boring.
These days places like PINS Mechanical Co. is simply more attractive. Cool atmosphere with video games, pinball and of course...bowling.

Well yeah and the other attractive part is how small the bowling is. It's almost like skeeball. Of course with the rise of bars & breweries popping up everywhere PINS Mechanical Co. just works well.

Having grown up in bowling alleys I hate seeing them close. Maybe some think bowling is a corny old sport but it’s Americana, pizza some beers and bowling is just a blast of a time. I hope some survive whatever the heck is going on these days. ✌️🇺🇸
