If you noticed, which you probably did, but all the decks, gearbox's and anything worth where removed. Just the frame and turrets left. Guess they got some money out of them. There's alot more they could have salvaged and made money off of. Even the synthetic lanes could've brought some extra cash.
@@Tolgalan We've had many bowling centers close around here and every center sold entire lanes with pinsetters for $200 each. Good times bro Left 4 Dead forever. I played the sequel a little bit. I’m 26 now maybe I’ll start playing again eventually I have great memories playing that brother
I live in the municipality where this bowling alley is. While I can't say I frequented this place, I do have some fond memories coming here as a young child in the late 2000s to play bowling with my friends while our parents watched us. Towards the last couple of years while this place was still open, while I never did return to the bowling alley, I would occasionally have dinners at one of the restaurants there. Even at that point, this place was already dead quiet, with my immediate family usually being the largest group of patrons at any of the businesses there. The internet cafe, though I never went inside, was open until the very end, as far as I know, despite having been an obsolete business years before this place closed down. I have some more insights about the local area if anyone is interested.
Feeling nostalgic watching this video ... still remember the days in the 90s when I went there with my friends for bowling. We had such good memories, shared many laughs, enjoying each other's companies, then sharing a late night meal afterwards. Thanks for this video and memories!
This is great, but please tell your friend to wear a mask when searching through ruined buildings. We don't want him to damage his lungs. We want him to live a long and successful life.
@@waltersobchak7275 regardless of likelyhood its still a good idea. also asbestos is sometimes in floors and can be kicked up just from walking on them. not to mention how much insulation and ceiling tiles and etc thats everywhere that could generate asbestos dust and considering the holes, if there is asbestos in it its on the floor now. this dust could be fairly easily stirred up. asbestos does require to be disturbed to do much damage, yes but it should Never be taken lightly. especially in deteriorating buildings
@@QueenOfCatsX3 I lived in a block house in Jacksonville for 36 years. It had the 9x9 asbestos tiles. The problem is not when they are new because they are pliable. The supposed problem is when they get a little older and become brittle. They say dry sweeping floors with these tiles are a hazard because of airborne carcinogens. The house was built in 1940. My grandma owned it before my mother and me. Not one person in my family has ever had any asbestos related illness. These same tiles were in millions of houses and even aircraft carriers for decades. Asbestos may cause problems when you are working in a mine or doing installation where you are exposed to airborne particles on a regular basis. Other than that abatement is just another scare tactic for implementing a money making racket.
@@waltersobchak7275 Asbestos floor tiles are really low risk. Low percentage bonded asbestos isn't the big threat. Its the stuff like spray coating and pipe lagging which is like 70-80% asbestos that you should worry about.
The giant plush says "Please take me home, don't leave me here." I wish I was there then I would I don't care if the plush was moldy or not. It breaks my heart when I see that.
Wow, I used to go here, even had a friend's birthday party back in jr. high. This place was pretty popular back in the day but once World Bowl opened in Richmond Hill in the late 90s the crowds started gravitating to that place. I also recall there was an LAN bar on the first floor where you could play games like StarCraft and Counterstrike.
People want to be remembered, to leave a mark on a place to say they were there. It's the same reason the Apollo 11 astronauts left a flag on the moon.
At 13:20 I believe that room to be actually where the "Pro-Shop" would be. It's where people would go to buying bowling balls and other equipment as well as where they would have their bowling balls drilled. The stair-like shelving was probably where they displayed the various types of bowling balls.
This one hits really close to home. I left my hometown of Scarborough, Ontario for Calgary back in 2014. I remember so many memories from this place. I was definitely sad when I found out this place closed during one of my visits.
Always love your videos. Been sick recently and have been stuck at home. So, your new videos are always a joy to watch! I liked how you put in photos of what the place use to look like and going back to what it looks like now. It added a nice creep factor. But, this place alone was creepy yet very cool! 🤗
I loved this the most, I am a bowler, I bowl in leagues and I also know a lot about what goes on behind the scenes of a bowling alley and all the different company manufacturers of equipment used in certain alleys. Thank you guys for this awesome exploration, I really enjoyed it!
Here is a suggestion: Try do intro of desolate place mixed in with clips of video of the glory days, like Rose having flash back when look into the Titanic via monitors, before the famous "It had been 84 years..."
ok.... i need to say this................after every video you make look forward to the next.....i am over joyed every time i get the notification why beceaus every building you go to or made a video about you als place a well explained history about the building with nice footage. its allways a joy to watch these video's. So i hope you can go on for some time . i think i have wasted enough of your time if you even read this. greetings from a belgian viewer Koen
Useless info below: The panels that cover the machines are known as Masking Units. The ball return mechanism is a Power Lift (Brunswick's name for it). The pinsetters are A2's, although later on in the video it looks like there were also GS series machines installed that were removed entirely. The guard that comes down to sweep the pins is called a Rake on A2's and a Sweep on GS machines. It's sad to see a center abandoned like this, especially with the older pinsetters. They were known as the workhorse of the industry. Very durable machines and reliable if serviced properly.
I always watch your vids and love them (long time subscriber). And when you said “Club 300” i was shocked. We used to go there all the time. Park underground and go up the stairs. The bottom floor was open but not too busy. But Club300 was always active. My niece would get chicken fingers and fries. We’d bowl, then play arcade and pool. If it was winter, we’d do doughnuts in the back before we left. So sad, places like this don’t exist anymore. Thanks for filming, and letting me see my youth again. Stay safe.
Crazy to see the place abandoned like this. My parents used to bowl here as part of a league and I have fond memories of going on the weekends with them. Place used to have arcade machines lined along the walls and the best fries and gravy at the snack stand. This was actually the first place I ever played Bomberman or an arcade racing sim. Last I heard the place was supposed to be torn down for more condos (yuck). Place was in business to at least the early 10's from what I remember. Thanks for visiting!
Thanks for making this video. I used to go there when I was younger and would regularly hang out at that net cafe to play foosball. They closed down that building because the owners wanted to capitalize on the huge surge in property value and sold it to developers to build townhomes on it. I believe the developers themselves went bankrupt and couldn't build said townhomes.
I used to work in a Brunswick alley; the machines you showed were largely stripped...the pin and ball wheels were gone, ball tracks, rake assy's, the motors, conveyor assy's, gearboxes...looked like only the pin guides, ball curtains and deck covers were left....FYI......
My thoughts exactly! These huge buildings must be built very cheap. Only 4yrs & ceilings falling & floors warping? Doesnt take long when the roof starts leakin..
Ha! I totally forgot about this place until it came up on my feed. My buddies and I got horribly lost after prom and stumbled on the bowling alley. It was a good night. Sad to see it in disrepair. Thanks for sharing!
I met my late husband there in my early 20's.,fun times! So many league memories, the pro shop, restaurants, friendships followed by my son's youth leagues. We all had tears bowling our last league there. My heart aches watching this, the fact that it is still abandoned now and still no condo in 2020.
Silver Ghost - wait a minute! No wonder my hometown location (Rexville Town Center, Bayamon PR) had tonight almost all lights turned off (it hasn't opened back since the Lockdown on 15 March 2020) when that wasn't normal (had almost all lights on all night). I go a lot to the Little Caeasar"s to the side of the CEC... (has been open most of the time)
It's interesting to see how badly the place has fallen apart after the closure. I can still remember going to the Chinese restaurant and bowling alley many years ago. When it was still opened, the place was defiantly showing it's age as pieces of the building outside was already falling apart. The lack of management just shows how badly everything is falling apart now.
What a waste of a beautiful bowling alley. Also, what sadist leaves behind a stuffed animal? I hope some daring explorer finds it and decides to save it as a keepsake.
reminds me of my town’s bowling alley. it was open for a few years, and then the most recent owner ran it into the ground. still has stuff in it but I haven’t heard of any plans to reopen for obvious reasons.
As a manager in a bowling alley in the UK, it’s crazy to me how much has been just left to rot! All those parts, the ball returns, the pin spotters and the synthetic lanes especially would all have been easily kept as spares for other centres!
There wasn’t much left of the lanes to save they were beat by the end. This house had a ton of use and was sold a number of years before it closed so maintenance went further downhill. What had value was saved but there wasn’t a ton especially as the centre was elevated
I'm also from the uk and was under the impression over here that everything gets ripped out of old bowling alleys. Also this looked at least twice the number of lanes of a typical uk one, its huge.
@@robthomas7232 This is most likely why it failed. The trend in the industry now is to open smaller centres so that they are easier to fill and make a profit. Very rarely are centres of 50+ lanes at full capacity meaning you are paying for rent, rates and bills for space you don't need.
@Pinz n Pinsetters thanks... I guess? Coming from AMF machines I have only know them as pinspotters. Taking spares is most definitely worth it as it really improves a centres bottom line by not having to order the often overly expensive parts from the manufacturer. I am sure a good proportion of the synthetic lanes could have been used in a new centre as with some lane conditioner they would have been as good as new. I completely agree that the ball return housings are completely pointless as I know machines that are 30+ years old that still use their original frames.
The shots of it being active cutting to what it looks like today are top. Who remembers the mission on Titanfall 2 where you warp between now and then as you go through that facility?
I still go with family to hang out once in a while when we want to do something together. Few of us want to go more often and practice and just have fun
They started demolition of the building around late October to mid-November 2020 I think? Last I saw it, all the walls were pretty much gone, and there were piles of rubble.

Wow just saw this, thanks for posting brings back a lot of memories, used to frequent that establishment 1-2x per wk during its hay-day on a Friday/Saturday nite it would b shoulder2shoulder in there
Thanks for going there, I always wondered what it looked like after closing. In April of every year, my office would rent out about 40 to 50 lanes for a few hours. When we went in April 2016, there was no sign it was closing soon. I was sad when it closed as I would've wanted to pickup one of there arcade games but I didn't realise it was closed until the place had already been cleaned out. I do have to admit I think it started to have problems when someone was found in his trunk in the back of the parking lot in the mid to late 2000's, as it is in a high Chinese community area, some of them take that kind of stuff very seriously. Anyway, the stage at the front restaurant was generally for weddings. the food was actually pretty good. I did always wonder how the cyber cafe lasted so long as it was usually empty and I personally haven't been to once since about 2002. Now just waiting for new condos to build there. PS: Too bad you didn't have the time to go see Market Village on the other side of the train track beside the PMall, they destroyed that the day after all shops were kicked out.
One of my favorite memories of this place was biking from home to Club 300 Bowling and playing at the arcade they had at the alley. One day in 2006, I went down to play Marvel vs. Capcom 2 and ended up beating the game. It was a proud achievement for a teenage me.
I went on a school trip to this bowling alley back in 7th or 8th grade (2011/2012 ish). I pass by this building all the time, never could imagined the interior has gotten to this state.

Good times bro Left 4 Dead forever. I played the sequel a little bit. I’m 26 now maybe I’ll start playing again eventually I have great memories playing that brother
@@Thatguy55595 strongly suggest playing L4D2 again. No real updates since 2013 but its patched at least once a year with all the other valve games
@@monstersponge9096 also the mods are fun as hell with friends on PC
I have some more insights about the local area if anyone is interested.
omg please update me on it haha
businesses that don't make sense are usually opened for an investor visa lol
Feeling nostalgic watching this video ... still remember the days in the 90s when I went there with my friends for bowling. We had such good memories, shared many laughs, enjoying each other's companies, then sharing a late night meal afterwards. Thanks for this video and memories!
these are literally such good quality videos ive watched all of them im so proud of u
Thank you!
I LOVE it!! Please keep making content forever, your videos are helping me survive 2020 you have no idea.
This is great, but please tell your friend to wear a mask when searching through ruined buildings. We don't want him to damage his lungs. We want him to live a long and successful life.
Damage from what don't say asbestos it isn't dangerous until you start messing with it. Black mold maybe highly unlikely though
Why
Every bowling alley revolves around the master Wii Sports Matt. Every time he switches to another bowling alley, that one closes. Matt is the Wii god
I see you everywhere on like every video ever
The giant plush says "Please take me home, don't leave me here." I wish I was there then I would I don't care if the plush was moldy or not. It breaks my heart when I see that.
You know it's not alive right?
I left it to be honest!
NGL i want to fly to the alley and save it
Always an excitement when you have a new video! Interesting place to explore. Excited for Closed for Storm👍
Thank you!
Wow, I used to go here, even had a friend's birthday party back in jr. high. This place was pretty popular back in the day but once World Bowl opened in Richmond Hill in the late 90s the crowds started gravitating to that place. I also recall there was an LAN bar on the first floor where you could play games like StarCraft and Counterstrike.
why do people feel the need spray paint everything, always.
a city without graffiti would look abnormal
People want to be remembered, to leave a mark on a place to say they were there. It's the same reason the Apollo 11 astronauts left a flag on the moon.
They place in completely rotting and leaking and left as a loss to the owners and your worried about some paint??
Well once places become abandoned it’s their painting ground now.
why do people feel the need to draw a penis on everything?

The baby raccoon on the staircase was either Timmy or Tommy from Animal Crossing.

I loved this the most, I am a bowler, I bowl in leagues and I also know a lot about what goes on behind the scenes of a bowling alley and all the different company manufacturers of equipment used in certain alleys. Thank you guys for this awesome exploration, I really enjoyed it!
@Pinz n Pinsetters That's awesome man, I'll check out your channel!
Here is a suggestion: Try do intro of desolate place mixed in with clips of video of the glory days, like Rose having flash back when look into the Titanic via monitors, before the famous "It had been 84 years..."
ok.... i need to say this................after every video you make look forward to the next.....i am over joyed every time i get the notification
why beceaus every building you go to or made a video about you als place a well explained history about the building with nice footage. its allways a joy to watch these video's.
So i hope you can go on for some time . i think i have wasted enough of your time if you even read this.
greetings from a belgian viewer

Useless info below:
The panels that cover the machines are known as Masking Units.
Yeah at one point 2/3 of all pinsetters in the world were A2s
I always watch your vids and love them (long time subscriber). And when you said “Club 300” i was shocked. We used to go there all the time. Park underground and go up the stairs. The bottom floor was open but not too busy. But Club300 was always active. My niece would get chicken fingers and fries. We’d bowl, then play arcade and pool. If it was winter, we’d do doughnuts in the back before we left. So sad, places like this don’t exist anymore. Thanks for filming, and letting me see my youth again. Stay safe.
It’s a fantastic day when there is a BSF. Up load thank you for always making amazing content !!!
Thank you so much for watching!
Keeping history alive is so important..
Safe exploring 🤟🏾
Thanks for making this video. I used to go there when I was younger and would regularly hang out at that net cafe to play foosball. They closed down that building because the owners wanted to capitalize on the huge surge in property value and sold it to developers to build townhomes on it. I believe the developers themselves went bankrupt and couldn't build said townhomes.
I get a strike every time, I’m too good
Perfect golf swing, perfect bowl arm

Sure, just ignore that little poor peasant rolling the ball by hand to a perfect strike :)

I used to work in a Brunswick alley; the machines you showed were largely stripped...the pin and ball wheels were gone, ball tracks, rake assy's, the motors, conveyor assy's, gearboxes...looked like only the pin guides, ball curtains and deck covers were left....FYI......
What really amazes me is how fast black mould takes root when people abandon a building 😳😳😳...it’s both sad and eye opening!
This is definitely not the Big Lebowski sequel I was hoping for
I met my late husband there in my early 20's.,fun times!
So many league memories, the pro shop, restaurants, friendships followed by my son's youth leagues. We all had tears bowling our last league there.
My heart aches watching this, the fact that it is still abandoned now and still no condo in 2020.
Chuck-E-Cheese is about to go bankrupt and all my childhood memories of that place are flooding back.
(has been open most of the time)
syxepop yea mine in Garland, Texas has all the signs taken down and I believe it’s gutted, I hope he can do a video on it.
I'm sorry to hear.
Wow didn't take long for this place to get tore up. Like these little explore videos Jake. Good work
Aww baby raccoon ❤️🥺❤️
Jake finally wearing a respirator. Good on you man! Keep up the great work.
Ye ole Bowling Alley has seen better days
It's interesting to see how badly the place has fallen apart after the closure. I can still remember going to the Chinese restaurant and bowling alley many years ago. When it was still opened, the place was defiantly showing it's age as pieces of the building outside was already falling apart. The lack of management just shows how badly everything is falling apart now.
What a waste of a beautiful bowling alley. Also, what sadist leaves behind a stuffed animal? I hope some daring explorer finds it and decides to save it as a keepsake.
I left it creeped me out 😂
I want to save it

Great video Jake. Stay safe and I can't wait for a new episode of bankrupt or Abandoned.
That was creepy, I literally have that stuffed wolf within arm's reach right now.
reminds me of my town’s bowling alley. it was open for a few years, and then the most recent owner ran it into the ground. still has stuff in it but I haven’t heard of any plans to reopen for obvious reasons.
Keep up the great content, Loving abandoned!
Another solid vid my dude. Also, holy crap, who needs more than 50 lanes!?
How oily were the lanes when you were walking on them?
Not! The oil is long dried up
The shots of it being active cutting to what it looks like today are top. Who remembers the mission on Titanfall 2 where you warp between now and then as you go through that facility?
Remember when going out to a bowling alley was a thing?
Remember when we had more civil liberties? Good times
I still go with family to hang out once in a while when we want to do something together. Few of us want to go more often and practice and just have fun
They started demolition of the building around late October to mid-November 2020 I think? Last I saw it, all the walls were pretty much gone, and there were piles of rubble.
When you said, *”this floor’s a little wonky”*
I said, *“hell yeah it is!”* Lmao
like I was there or something 😂
That's called immersion, my friend.

Dude you seriously need to make a playlist of you adventuring these because you have like 5 different names for exploration videos and some you just have to get lucky if it’s an exploration video or not because it’s not in the title.
That’s actually a good idea. I’ll have that done by tonight!
Bright Sun Films thanks man! I really enjoy your videos keep up the hard work!
Wow just saw this, thanks for posting brings back a lot of memories, used to frequent that establishment 1-2x per wk during its hay-day on a Friday/Saturday nite it would b shoulder2shoulder in there
It's always a bit sad to see what a space looked like then compared to today's decay.
As a bowler it makes me sad to see this bowling alley go to waste like that. so much potential and it looks like it was once a very cool place
One of my favorite memories of this place was biking from home to Club 300 Bowling and playing at the arcade they had at the alley. One day in 2006, I went down to play Marvel vs. Capcom 2 and ended up beating the game. It was a proud achievement for a teenage me.
I guess it looked somewhat close to this even before it closed.
Liked the way you began this doco with the bowling footage - nice
“A disco ball is just hanging by a thread...”

Escape from Tarkov: Canada Edition
Our Scavs are raccoons.
I went on a school trip to this bowling alley back in 7th or 8th grade (2011/2012 ish). I pass by this building all the time, never could imagined the interior has gotten to this state.
$16.50 for 15 hours of bowling? That's a crazy deal!
This kind of reminds me of Wheels In. My recollection of that was it was a smaller ally, but also in Canada, in a entertainment complex.
