AAAAAAAAAAAAAAH! I love it! I am literally just working out what to do about this as an Australian business. I think I might just do AUD and USD for the rest
Hi Simon! I love your content because it inspired me to build my own SaaS. May I ask that you make more content on digital marketing? Specifically, running ads and landing pages that convert leads to customers. Thank you! Love the work
Great question! I've experimented a lot with this, and I've found that when there's only one single link, people tend to click more often (I guess it's a matter of limiting choices). So sometimes (if relevant), I have a link to a product, other times my newsletter. All links are in the channel's about section, though 😊
That last statement using vpn this clears my thought Im struggling yo find solution for this but now ik let go let it be …. Go for it😊 Thanks man you’re so amazing and you’re content is on my top most priority of watching list Thanks for your efforts ❤❤
Absolutely, just let it slide 😁 You could go down the rabbit hole and checking their email ip, credit card country, etc, but nahh... too much effort. Really appreciate it 🙌 Thanks!
We noticed that we lost many customers due to failed payments. We have many 'solo-preneurs' who might receive funds at the end of a month and because the retry period was set to 3 weeks - and payment collection failed before their account topped up. What's your smart recovery settings?
What I've been doing is just using the floor($exchange_rate) for example, so they're different but make them whole numbers. Whilst it is still different numbers, I think it's a bit fairer than making them all the same number.. that said, I'm 100% open to trying new things :).
Yeah, for sure a valid approach too. And with a bit more effort put into it, I'm sure you can design prices that hits "psychology" right on both currencies.
Cool to talk about price psychologie and technical pricing in the same video. I think is that a buisness when you can touch many subject to sell product
I'm curious, how do you handle VAT? I moved away from stripe for this reason, it seems time consuming on small saas to handle this when paddle/lemonsqueezy can do it better
Using Stripe Tax 😊 It's not that complicated as people make it out to be. Also, there are some horrible storries from people using Paddle as an MoR. I wouldn't recommend that.
Still i didn't understand , u are getting payment in usd or euro, but payout still in Swizz currency? So still it is loss? Or profit? Or my point is wrong
Great advice for the saas (And about the end, just end up subscribing to TH-cam premium from Ukraine for 2$ a month instead of 15$ a month with a VPN. Thanks !😂)
I lived in Switzerland when I set the company up 😊 Living in Spain now, but Switzerland is an awesome country to do business in, so just kept the company there.
I hope you enjoyed watching!

Great video!
I am interested in what software you using to help you with Video editing. You really stepped up your quality.
@@darrenhinde2971 Thanks! 😁 Adobe After Effects, Adobe Premiere Pro, and Blender (for the 3D stuff).
@ I appreciate you leaving a reply to this.
Will have a look at it as this level of filming and editing definitely stands out.

@@SimonHoiberg perfect for usage based billing too. no need to write all that extra code.
These niche tips are the best! Cheers from Germany :)

Great video! What do you use to detect the user's country or region?
We're looking up the location of the visitors ip address, but you could use the geolocation API as well.

Or my point is wrong
That's right, I still get my payouts in Swiss Franc (CHF), but the EUR and CHF deviates much less (Switzerland is heavily tied to EU in trading, etc).
@@SimonHoiberg ok sir, got it, now a days your saas idea video is less
Thank you. 👍
Hey Simon, I love your work. Are you Hiring ? I would like to be your software Engineer Ninja. I'm also a fellow bootstrapper based in CH

Seems like I'm not the only one who's too lazy to implement proper safeguards for this 😂
Huh, interesting. Why do you run your business from CH?
I lived in Switzerland when I set the company up 😊
