This version of Harry was definitely one of the games biggest highlights. Instead of him being a whiny rich prick like he usually is, he's very chill and charming, and I love that he's a scientist like Peter. They really have a strong chemistry and feel like genuine best friends, plus them both being scientists is a good way of showing how they get along so well

I also love how he's also lost a loved one like Peter and how that motivates him into having a goal driven vision for the betterment of the world.
Harry here is a thoughtful and good dude, which makes his fate all the more tragic.
Man, Harry has some of the best stories in Spider-man comics but his rep is totally coloured by adaptations that make Peter nicer and Harry a jerk.
It sucks tho wha happened to him he wasn’t a bad guy he just felt betrayed by his closet friend
Seems like he was raised more by his mother Emily. Otherwise he would have been a Norman clone.

Peter’s story arc with the symbiote is usually compared to someone developing an addiction, but honestly, so does Harry’s.
When we see him after he recovers, he’s as happy and energetic as can be. And nothing deters him, kinda like someone on cloud nine. Or maybe even someone who’s high. And when he discovers how to use the suit and that Peter is Spider-Man, he becomes even more so. To the point where he willing risks his life, and he clearly enjoys it. Again, like someone who has constant highs would want to feel.
When Peter gets the suit, he’s not necessarily worried at first, but then as time progresses, he becomes more paranoid and worried, and desperately trying to keep himself occupied and distracted from the suit. That reminds me of someone going through withdrawal. And especially after his fight with Peter, he barely even cares about whether or not he’s gonna die, he’s just using it to get the suit back.
And when he does, he doesn’t realize what it’s done to him till he does something terrible (Killing Kraven), but by then, he’s already too deep in to get away. By the time he’s freed, he’s pretty much destroyed himself and nearly got his loved ones killed. Hell, you call his coma at the end a type of Rehab.

First of all, awesome comment! Also let’s not forget that Mary Jane most likely told Harry about The suit going crazy in the middle of the night. Nearly killing her and the hunters. And yet Harry ignores that warning completely. For crying out loud he even sees that it’s affecting peters personality. Nope, Doesn’t care about the dangerous consequences.
This is the best version of the character I've ever seen! I was really crushed when it looked like he died.

1:25 I like how this scene mirrors one later. Where Pete is on edge about MJ’s scream until he realises it’s Harry. Then near the end of the game, we have the same characters in the same location with a completely different context to MJ’s scream.

and it outright defies "stuffed in the fridge", Venom could've EASILY gutted MJ like a fish in front of Pete just to hurt him, ironically, Peter was even pinned UNDER the fridge himself. but instead, Venom turning MJ into Scream and siccing her on her own boyfriend was so much more refreshing and a WORSE fate than death.
Guy was stuck in tube for 2 years dying of everything cancer, got to feel like a superhero for a few days, then watched his chemo asphalt rejected him for his friend who ALREADY HAD SUPERPOWERS
And that’s the reason it chose Peter. What’s the point in staying bonded to a sick human if you can bond to a healthy superhuman.
I think the symbiote sensed the darkness within Pete, and thought it would be easier to corrupt him. I’m not sure if the host’s condition is of any concern for the symbiote because it can heal its host’s body and the fact that it reached its ultimate form with Harry could indicate the condition of its host doesn’t have any effect on the symbiote. You could argue that the symbiote became more powerful with Pete and reached its ultimate level because of how strong Pete is. My point is that the symbiote could have reached its peak with anyone, regardless of their condition. Pete is more powerful than the average human and has darkness which intrigued it.
Harry didnt have Cancer. He had this kind of syndrome that his mom had.

I like to believe that Norman Osborn originally wanted Harry to go to prep school, but Emily changed his mind and wanted Harry to integrate with normal kids.
I wouldn't be surprised. Emily being present in Harry’s life seems to have made a world of difference in making him a better person than other incarnations.
That and Norman being an actually good dad (if overbearing)

What I like about this version of Harry is that him and Peter actually feel like best friends unlike most media where there’s either a love triangle or Harry is a prick.
Yeah well I don't think Harry will be Venom anymore regardless if they make Venom solo game or not.
If you pay attention closely, you’ll notice Harry is really the main character of the last 2 games (not the Mike’s game obviously). Harry being sick is the reason GR-27/ devils breath was created. And now this game with venom.
And Harry creates Green Goblin for the third game because of Norman’s grief of losing Harry again and going insane

Technically, GR-27 a.k.a Devil's Breath was initially created to help cure Emily's disease back in the 1980s, but yeah, Norman Osborn continued the research when he found out his son was diagnosed with the same disease as she did, so your statement of Harry being the main focal point of the first game is still correct.
plus Norman focused on Devil's Breath in the first game because he knew that Venom was just a STALL, it doesn't actually CURE Harry of his Oshtaron Syndrome, but only holds it back so long as it's bonded to Harry. sort of like Darth Vader's suit, if it ever came off he'll die.
Devil's breath was meant to permanently cure Harry so that he wouldn't need Venom as a crutch.
if you think about it, the symbiote is metaphorically a crutch no different from the cane that Harry hobbles around with late in the game which Harry clearly despises as a symbol of his weakness and failing body@@michaelmorningstar7933

I am really impressed with Harry in this game, normally a rich person would douse themselves in drugs, alcohol, and other pleasures to distract themselves after losing their mother but instead he devoted his life to making sure that no one else suffers the same fate as his mother.
He killed Kraven and we even could play as him. That's nice.
I love how you go through the game thinking kraven is huge and venom just dwarfs him

Honestly, Kraven did put up a good fight for having an alien as an enemy. Even momentarily cutting his tongue.

Is anyone gonna miss agent venom? even though he appeared for only 2 story missions it was awesome to see him in marvel Spider-Man 2
he could also randomly appear during Crimes in progress between saving Tombstone and the mission "Good Men", being able to interact with him as both Peter and Miles.
Fr I loved that Agent Venom part of the game.
Harry make this game look like Web of Shadows all over again, but this makes it even better

He is in a coma and the doctors said that his chance of waking up are very slim so idk. But maybe he will wake up so lets not lose hope. But to be honest i thi k he will wake up because you know how games are. Everything turns out great

It’s not everyday you get the best adaptation of two characters in one. That being Harry Osborn and Venom. I really wish this game was longer because I feel Venom needed more screen time. It’s disappointing that Venom didn’t get as much screen time as when he was just Harry.
Well there are rumors of a DLC or Venom solo being planned, but I'm not so sure Harry Osborn will be his host anymore.

1.Went from horrified at what he did to Kraven to main villain a bit too fast
2.Miles should have fought Venom first, then Peter, we needed to play as both, but Peter should’ve been the final phase

I know the doctors said that Harry’s chances of coming back are very slim but I hope that slim chance turns out to work out in the end because we are not ready for Harry to die yet. He just got back with Peter and MJ and he just started his new foundation with Peter. It’s not his time yet.

My favorite Harry Osborn in a video game movie he reminds me of some of it in Amazing Spider-Man 2 because Peter didn’t want the symbiote to latch on to him when he got it off. Also the Symbiote arc was one of my favorites along with Spectacular Spider-Man

@@ThermalTyphlosion despite being made up of Eddie's White Blood Cells and the remnants of the Venom Symbiote, Anti-Venom has had multiple hosts not just Eddie Brock. It just appears that unlike other Symbiotes it posses no consciousness.
@@MrPikaGammer Both Eddie and Flash have been Anti-Venom, but those were 2 different Anti-Venom symbiotes. It can't be simply given to someone else. It was just recreated using Flash's body after the original one was destroyed.
I don’t know if insomniac did it on purpose or if it was unintentional but I feel like even though Venom took over Harry, Harry still had more control of his own and the symbiotes mind. Now people would be like obviously because Harry as Venom addresses Spider-Man as Peter/Pete but it could be Venom trying to manipulate Pete into thinking it’s Harry and that Pete can trust Venom. The reason why I think Harry had more control over the Symbiotes hold is because Venom never revealed Spider-Mans identity to anyone, even when he was connected to everyone in the city through the Meteorite. Physically, Venom overpowered Harry. But mentally…Harry overpowered Venom.

I wonder how Haryy know that Peter was going to bring the Symbiote back at Oscorp. Other then that, the Cutscene where Venom appear almost looked like the beginning of a Boss Fight, until Normal get between them.
Harry would have had access to Oscorp surveillance equipment and spied on Peter's and Connors' conversation, or Peter's and MJ's, or just tracked Peter's movements as he swung towards Oscorp Tower

Knife was probably poisoned, possibly with Scorpion's brew.
I assume Peter's suit has a layer of non-Newtonion fluid between the layers that hardens of impact but is liquid otherwise. Extremely flexible and light, but absolutely useless against a blade.

@@jarrettadams4102 and Kraven is a seasoned hunter who studies his prey meticulously, he knew EXACTLY where to stab Peter, did with a huge machete, then broke the blade off to keep the wound open.
It's the same thing as comics, though. Peter tanks stuff with more force than bullets, but isn't bullet or knife-proof
