It's nice to see a video about the Hellenic navy. Wouldn't it have been more appropriate to call these missile boats the grandson of Themistocles as his military exploits were naval whereas Leonidas's military exploits were more land based?
Thanks for the nice comment. You are right about the title. But, the reason we refer to it as "the grandson of Leonidas in the sea" is that people know better about Leonidas and the Battle of Thermopylae. As you know, it is important for us that the title is attractive.

it depends, if you mean future of 2030-50. 3 fdis 7 roussens (they most likely will start decommisioning only around 2040-50) 4 type 214 and maybe the one okeanos class 209 3 gowind (most likely corvette competition candidate) 3 hydra frigates 2-3 Kortenaers (until late 2030 at least) the la combattantes 3A/Bs will probably see their end around late 2030 too.

These ships have a significant advantage that is not very obvious: their hull design! The deep V hull design is special optimised for very rough seas.
