Man, Cere Junda is one of the best Jedi I’ve ever met. She’s not cliché Jedi-but a broken warrior who lost everything she knew. But, Cere found another way to live on. To move past the terrible past. Although the Jedi are broken, they are never destroyed. And Cere never stopped believing in the Jedi ways. And now she lives on through the Force.
Why Cere is strong enough to take on Vader in Survivor: The first time Cere fights Vader, she does so by tapping into the dark side. Using her fear and anger at the shadow called Vader to defeat him. But she's also afraid to open that gate. She's afraid to lose herself beneath that tidal wave that is the dark side of the Force. She's fighting Vader on his terms, using a method he is not only intimately familiar with, but also not afraid of. "You've gotten stronger." "No, I've let go of my fear." The second time she faces Vader, she does so on her terms. She uses the light side, which is her strong suit. She's not afraid to open herself up to the Force because she has let go of that fear and anger and hatred. Cere's mission is to buy Merrin, Greez, and Cal time to escape from Jedha. She knows this is probably a one way ticket but she doesn't care. She doesn't flinch. She's determined to save them, no matter the cost. It's that determination that's so strong that lets her get so far against Vader.
One of the most pivotal moments of her character is at 5:02. She sees Vader surviving what she rationally thought is unsurvivable. You would expect her to be afraid, realizing that Vader will most likely kill her. But no. We see her expression. She let go of her fear. She was determined and defiant. She knew she stood for something, if nothing else, herself and what she represents. She died a warriors' death and didn't give Vader the satisfaction he craved, and bought time for everyone else. What a legend.
I finished the Game today. The Ending on Tanalorr hit me and I cried. As Yoda said: "Death is natural Part of Life. Do not mourn for those who had become one with the Force."
A beautiful tribute to Cere’s journey and it’s effect on Cal. I love these edits, please keep them coming! Maybe on in Cal through fallen order, or BD-1’s sort of mini arc, or focusing on Cal and Merrin?
This is some wonderful work you have done. The story telling though the edit is clear and Leeds wonderfully to that final quite moment of goodbye. You editing managed to get me all teary eyed. Well done.
When it came time to play as her I just knew she was going to die. And I had a feeling who was going to be the one to do it. When it finally came my heart still broke. The only reason I didn't cry was because she died in the one way the would frustrate Vader. She died braver than most.

If it wasn’t for Disney and their anti-fan practices that soured the franchise, Cere would be held as post-Disney era’s Obi-Wan Kenobi. A deeply flawed but compassionate mentor, the story’s last remnant of the Jedi Order, and a mother figure. I love her journey and send-off. Excellent work 😊
@@ssheeessh Even though there are characters who've been able to fight and even beat Vader some dumb fanboys think he should be invincible. Their ideal Return of the Jedi ending would probably be Vader 1 shot killing Luke and Palpatine and becoming emperor.
I never understood why Trilla blamed Cere for cracking under torture. That's... literally the whole point of torture. It works. The question should never be, "Will this person resist torture?" but rather, "How long till they break?"
How did Cere's choices take Trilla's choices away??? Trilla let her irrational fears get the better of her! Her master left her in the unique position of responsibility over a potential padwan of her own; that potential padawan could also argue Trilla betrayed them by not controlling her irrational fear which lead to more pain and suffering for all three. Cere did right to "cut herself from the force" at that point; she wasn't in any psychologically or emotionally fit state to use it.
Let's take a moment to recognize Debra Wilson. She gave an amazing performance across both games.
Cere is just a fascinating character. Gave Vader a HELL of a battle.

Brb crying. Thank you so much for this wonderful tribute to Jedi Master Cere Junda 💖🌺

I cried so hard when Cere died, and you just made me sob again at 5:35 This is such a great tribute to Cere damn
Your edits are truly so raw in character. You framed Cere beautifully.

Yes exactly
Cere has turned into one of my favorite characters in all of Star Wars and this video helps show exactly why.

Right? I really grew to respect her, and all anyone has to say is "she shouldn't have been able to hurt vader"

O7 to Master Junda.
I hope she had enough screen-time in Survivor, so her death was felt harder.
and some say "it's just a game"
Wakanda Forever!!!

Cere literally sold Trilla out I don’t get what you’re saying
they shouldnt have killed her off
