Thanks Max, great job! Hanoi is one of my favorite cities to walk in. The old city of course, but even outside. The history, alleys, storefronts, and yes the iconic street food vendors. Each visit there is a different list of vendors, with some old favorites, and it never gets boring.

Haha MAXX, man I love this episode as I've never been to Ha Noi! My favorite parts though are when you edit in these quick authentic exchanges between people. I think it makes the video feel so human, but also i love to listen to the gossips haha
That bun oc had me drooling! I loved the transition between that and the next with the snippets of Hanoi. The two che you got are probably my least favorite (I hate legume or bean-heavy che dessert soups) and to make it worse, they didn't servei t drenched in coconut sauce, which is how my mom would serve it. Also, che den needs the crunchy lotus blossom to give it texture.
Woww Max the “chè” that you tried is exactly my favorite from childhood, nowadays they only sell “ chè thập cẩm” with all kinds of stuff inside,but this “chè” is definitely simple and amazing! Welcome to the North! You make me miss HN so much!!

It is nice that you come to Hanoi for street food not because of the variety you can find here but mainly because to taste the original street food. Northern and Southern Vietnam, both have a very unique way to cook food.

Don't know if it's the humidity or the all the chilies you downed, but whatever it is, it did amazing things to your complexion. I'm jealous how clear and healthy your skin looks, 😆 🤣 But back to the food topic, my issue with food in Ha Noi is too much MSG. All vendors add a spoonful to your bowl before serving. I always ended up with a stomach ache every single time I had the soups there. I love Cha Ca La Vong
In Hanoi you can buy"trà đá" which means iced tea in the shop behind the scene when you eat bread for only 5,000 VND or less and have a comfortable dining seat. There is also "nhân trần" is also the same price as iced tea. Wish you have great meals in Hanoi

Hanoi is my Mother homeland, I never been there and I never will. But few dishes I love to eat are : bún chả Hà Nội, chả cá Lã Vọng, cà pháo mắm tôm, dưa chua thịt luộc. I hope to see a lot of vlog from Ha noi. Good job Max. 👍❤️🇺🇸
Max you gotta try the Bánh Mì Dân Tổ, its a very special Banh Mi that only starts selling from 3AM. It’s gotten so famous among the younger generation that a lot of other loactions have started copying the recipe. But the original is at 32 Trần Nhật Duật. Hope you enjoy itttt^^

Hi Max, try to eat Banh Mi Dan To and Pho Ganh Hang Chieu in Hanoi. These are the most famous restaurants Hanoiers eat from 3am - 6am. A little early but will have fun experience right :))
Cafe Giàng is famous for their egg coffee and bún chà Húóng Liên for their bún chà noodles. Both must tries ! Anthony Bourdain and Obama ate there. Definitely visit Ninh Binh, such a beautiful experience! Hanoi in all was an amazing experience! Enjoy !
I only eat dishes from my countryside in Central Vietnam such as : bún chả cá, bánh canh, bánh căn, bánh ướt, nem nướng, ... but North food. Max eat it all. great 👍👍👍

You should try emeral baby rice from Vong village, Rolled rice cake (Bánh Cuốn), Sticky rice (Xôi) there are many different types of Xoi, Banh Day Quan Ganh, and our delicatecy - Noodle soup (Phở). As far as I know in Ha Noi, they sell food more expensive than Saigon.
